Finally got around to watching this movie because it's so highly rated. Something told me it wasn't that good, but I'd have to give it a chance since it's so highly rated, right? Wrong. I wasted my time, and so will you. The only reason I watched it to the end was because I hoped, no, expected greatness to happen, but it never did. This movie and Citizen Kane fall into the same sinking boat of disappointment--of Titanic proportions. It's highly rated by tens of thousands, but WHY? Now, if you're looking for a classic that doesn't disappoint, I'd recommend 12 Angry Men. Now there's a movie that lives up to its rating and worth your precious time.

Elizebeth Friedman's work of decrypting coded radio messages helped tip the balances of World Wars and take down organized crime during the Prohibition Era. She saved tens of thousands of lives; yet, all of it was classified by the US government for 62 years as her superiors took credit for her achievements.

This very interesting and thought-provoking documentary follows Elizebeth's happenstance breakthrough into the world of cryptography, finding love while deciphering Shakespeare and her dedication as a wife and pioneering cryptoanalyst amongst an environment that was quite unfair towards women.

Never have I understood American history like this before! For the first time in my life, there's coherency and continuity from the Revolutionary War to Westward Expansion to the War of 1812 leading up to the Alamo. Before this series, all these events along with their key players were just independent events in American history with no "red strings" between them, now, the names that were somewhat familiar before are heroes with depth and the events pivotal and momentous to build what America is today.

Playing the video game would be more interesting. The movie graphics and storyline is subpar, overall a C+ at best.

I tried to watch this movie, but it became so ridiculous that I started fast forwarding hoping it'll get better. "Maybe I'm just too critical. Let's give it another chance.." and another chance and another chance.. Nope, it's just bad. Whatever message it's trying to convey was quite poorly executed.

A good story doesn't need fancy animation and I was looking for a beautiful story to be told in the simple lines of this short animation. But as the story progressed, I kept thinking to myself, "This is how children die!" This is not healthy exploration, but a bunch of kids taking unnecessary risks. There are at least two times, that if this was real life, these kids would not have made it. Yes, it's symbolic of a deeper meaning, but stories have to be believable, and this one is not believable. Still worth watching for the beauty that it could have been.

Not worth the low rating that the other 90 some thousand are averaging for it either. I'd say it's a good 7.4. Interesting story, nice effects, satisfying vanquishing of the bad guys (and gals). I didn't regret watching this movie.

Being a Christian, I'm usually not a fan of Christian movies due to subpar acting and shallow storytelling. However, this dramatized documentary is an exception. Refreshingly gritty, unapologetically faith-filled and at times bloody, it tells the story of those who sacrificed themselves to spread the love of the God whom they worshiped and experienced intimately. They testify of their savior, Jesus, in whom they unwavering trust even in the midst of horrific torture. Now this is faith!
