Scrap (2022)
Beautiful piece of art.
This film beautifully and skillfully intertwines its main story & the hardship that Beth (Vivian Kerr) faces, with the stories & hardships of her Brother Ben (Anthony Rapp) and his wife Stacy (Lana Parrilla). The connection between the actors made the characters and their stories so much more beautiful.
Scrap captures some beautiful places of L. A, along with some hard hitting places that go hand in hand with the seriousness of the story.
I loved how well the music is paired up with their scenes, and how the pieces of each music tells a story within themselves during those scenes too.
The film is a credit to all of its cast and crew.
I am grateful that I have been able to watch this wonderful piece of art. And would definitely recommend other people to watch it too.
Why Women Kill: Secret Beyond the Door (2021)
Glamorous
I am absolutely loving the new season of WWK.
As much as I loved the 3 separate stories in season 1, I think season 2 will offer just as much scandal!
Having it set in 1940's Hollywood with the gorgeous fashion and set, is great to see.
So far I am very much enjoying the wonderful and snarky Rita Castillo and cannot wait to explore her character along with everyone else.
The Tax Collector (2020)
A couple of years of waiting.
I have been following this film since they started filming (thanks to the amazing Lana Parrilla), roll on 2 years and here it is.
The tax collector is full of grit, action, guns, gangs and most importantly familia!
We get to see into a world that is so different from our own (well mine at least) but still at it's roots is about relationships.
I personally enjoyed watching this film and found myself wanting to know more about the characters backgrounds and how they got to the position/place they find themselves in.
A great Latinx cast full of great actors and actresses.
Extinction (2018)
Surprisingly good
The first 30 minutes or so were a little slow but it is definitely worth sticking withi it as the action is great and there is a brilliant twist to the story.
