This series & character should've stayed dead.

What was built up to be a promising reboot of the series ended in the most unsatisfying and out-of-character ways imaginable.

If you're a fan of the original - honestly don't bother. A complete waste of time & energy. Shame on the Producers/Writers.

Masterfully written, and absolutely stunning in 4K HDR, this series has been brilliant from the start.

The storyline is great, the physics accuracy is the closest you'll see in any Movie or other TV series, and the visuals/cinematography are brilliant.

Great story with a huge plot hole... If it's Winter in Princeton (North Hemisphere) means it must be Summer in Antarctica.

If it was Summer in Antarctica - she could have been Evacuated easily. The weather/wind conditions described in the episode give the impression it's Winter in Antarctica - not possible seeing as it's Snowing in the Winter of Princeton...

Now if it was July and she needed Rescuing - it'd have been almost impossible.

Small but simple mistake, granted - but discounts the entire reasoning for the remote diagnosis & dangerous procedures.

Still a high quality episode though - I just couldn't get over the plot hole.

As near to perfection as a TV Series can be, I cannot put into words the gravity & importance of this series.

A true, accurate, beautiful, and brutal portrayal of war. Nothing compares in the modern age, if ever.

Episode 9 is so emotionally draining it is very hard to watch at times, but watch it you must.

Never Again must we let this happen. Never, ever, ever again.

From a UK viewer, my heart, soul and tears are with every allied veteran, and every jewish person (and others) tortured and murdered by the Nazi regime.

This is the best, Chernobyl second best.

I must say I was sceptical at first, but after watching the final episode everything was pulled together nicely.

Fantastic acting and cinematography, but slightly let down for me by the lack of russian accents/speakers & the lack of focus on the plights of those poor souls who gave their life to save their country & continent.

But a Big BUT: This series is NOT as good as Band of Brothers - they are simply incomparable.

Band of Brothers tells the story of possibly the most harrowing time in all of human history, and is told with the same fantastic acting & cinematography that Chernobyl was.

This is a fantastic mini-series, but it is NOT as good as Band of Brothers - which is the best ever.

Nothing I have ever seen (on film) can compare to the emotional brutality of Episodes 7, 8 and 9 of Band of Brothers (Bastogne, The Breaking Point, and The Last Patrol). I cannot bear watching episode 9 ever again - it is utterly heartbreaking, sickening, and gut-wrenching to see what the Nazi's did to the Jews.

I will quote a WW2 veteran (arjay24 - now 95 if alive) who reviewed Band of Brothers in 2004: "I am an 80 year old combat veteran (88th Inf. Div. Italy).

I watched BOB on the History Channel. I was so overwhelmed, indeed a bit panicked by the authentic nature of 90+% of the uniforms, signs, noises (I take exception to the sound of incoming artillery).

I cried several times at the authentic staging - for them and me. I cannot believe I'll watch it again. It's too much. Too real."
