Waterloo Road: USA

Jack Rimmer- Jack would be amazing for the role as Jack Rimmer, the first head teacher of Waterloo Road. Even though Jack Davenport is British he has starred in the US TV series Smash and starred with Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Kim Campbell- Nia has starred in the hit movies Big momma's house & Are we there yet. The character Kim Campbell is played brilliantly by the fantastic actress Angela Griffin, however in the USA adaption I think Nia Long would make a fantastic Kim Campbell.

Tom Clarkson- Seth is renowned for his fantastic comedy acting/writing skills however there is no one else I can think of who would be able to become Tom Clarkson (other than Jason Done) better than Seth as it is a character who carries a genuine likeability with him and Seth would deliver that perfectly.

Steph Haydock- Courtney is a fantastic comedy actress which is seen as Lyndsey in two and a half men, therefore I think she could portray Denise Welsh's character Steph. This is mainly because everytime I watch Two and a half men I can't help but notice that some of Lyndsey's characteristics relate to Steph's.

Grantly Budgen- One of the best characters that Waterloo Road has ever created, Grantly Budgen is the character that must have an actor who miserable exterior but has a soft, humourous interior. I think Harvey would deliver this perfectly.

Maggie Budgen- Even though Maggie comes into Waterloo Road in the later series I think Holland Taylor would be a great actress to portray the dinner lady who eventually marries grantly.

Rachel Mason- Connie is an excellent actress as proved in American Horror Story, Rachel Mason is the second headteacher of Waterloo Road and is the one which the audience seem to like the most. Originally played by Eva Pope, Rachel Mason is the 2nd headteacher in the shows history whose previous occupation was a prostitute.

Eddie Lawson- Mark Harmon would play the deputy head Eddie Lawson who was originally played by Neil Morrissey. Eddie Lawson eventually becomes Rachel Mason's love interest and then leaves the show however I believe that Harmon would be an amazing choice to play Eddie if the show was to be re-made into a US show.

Max Tyler- The Executive head of waterloo road after the merge with another high school, Max Tyler is a rude, confident and selfish man, who is out to get Rachel Mason, originally played by Tom Chambers, Brian d'Arcy James would become this character perfectly.

Janeece Bryant - Even though Snooki is nearly 30 she would still be able to pass for the senior (rude) student Janeece, who eventually goes in to become the head teachers personal assistant. There is no one else I can imagine to become Janeece in the USA.

Chlo Grainger- Chlo is one of the first pupil's who Waterloo Road is centered around therefore I really think that Emma Roberts can take over Katie Griffiths' character and can become the troubled girl who goes running after her boyfriend.

Donte Charles- Maybe this casting is a little unbelievable but there is no one else that I can think of in the USA that would be able to reenact the fantastic character that Adam Thomas created better than Taylor Lautner.

Sambuca Kelly- Saoirse is famous for being an amazing child actress, when I was thinking of someone to reenact Holly Kenny's dramatic character Sam Kelly, I instantly thought of Saoirse.

Denzil Kelly- Jaden is following in his fathers footsteps with amazing acting skills. Denzil Kelly is to be played by someone with mixed race, therefore even though Jaden is not mixed race I still believe that the casting should be flexible just to fit this actor in.

Earl Kelly- Jascha worked within the big momma house franchise and I believe that he would be able to slip into the devious, evil character Earl Kelly very well, this character is also meant to be mixed race.

Marley Kelly - Brandon T. Jackson is an amazing actor who mostly provides a comedy character within a movie/TV show. Marley is the awkward brother out of the Kellys and I believe Brandon would be brilliant to portray this character.

Rose Kelly- Kathleen is fantastic at becoming funny/dramatic characters, this is what the character Rose is all about therefore this actress would be brilliant as the mother of the three troubled teenagers.

Karen Fisher- Debra Messing is an amazing actress famous for her role as Grace in the hit sitcom, Will and Grace. I would cast her as Karen Fisher the amazing character originally played by Amanda Burton.

Christopher Mead- Chris is the deputy head of Waterloo Road through Karen and Rachels time as head teacher therefore there would have to be a strong actor to maintain this characters popularity within the series which is why I picked Jason O'Mara.

Rob Scotcher- The Site Manager of Waterloo road and love interest of Karen Fisher is a funny, sarcastic and emotional man holding many problems on his shoulders, including his son aiden, John is a leading actor is the Comedy drama Scrubs and would be perfect for this part.

Daniel Chalk (Chalky)- Wayne Knight is known as playing a mix of characters who deliver humour to the feature film or television episode that Wayne is featured in, therefore I thought it would be suitable for Wayne to take over Mark Benton's iconic character, Chalky, the maths teacher.

Ruby Wax- Jullanne Moore is an amazing actress who has worked in film and Tv now since the 1980s, she would be an amazing addition to any cast especially the Waterloo Road cast if it was to be made in the USA, I think the character that would definitely suit this actress is the F.C.T teacher, Ruby Wax who faces a lot of challenges when faced with her new teaching position at Waterloo Road.

Jodie 'Scout' Allen- Abigail Breslin is an amazing actress who has been in feature films since a young age. The character Scout from Waterloo Road was originally played by Katie McGlynn, Abigail has played a variety of characters therefore I figured that perhaps she would fit easily into this character.

Michael Burne- Who else but the amazing Neil Patrick Harris could play this amazing character, Michael Burne, even though this character is for an actor who is perhaps less into acting in the genre of comedy, I still can imagine that Neil would be amazing as the head teacher Michael Burne.

Sian Diamond- Michael's love interest and deputy head teacher, Sian Diamond is a strong female character within the TV series. Aisha is best known for playing Charlie in friends, however she is perfect for playing Sian due to her talented acting skills.

Jez Diamond- Aaron Paul is a sensational actor from the hit American Tv series, Breaking Bad. Jez Diamond is the PE teacher and husband of Sian Diamond within Waterloo Road. Jez was originally played by Alex Walkinshaw, I think Aaron Paul would be able to recreate this character in a way which is suitable for the USA.

Nikki Boston- Heather Peace originally played the bisexual English/deputy head Teacher who had been through so much drama in the years that she was in Waterloo Road. Selma Blair is an actress who plays adventurous characters and example of this is when she played Liz Sherman in Hellboy, I think she would be able to play Nikki in an American adaptation of Waterloo Road.

Lorraine Donnegan- Hilary Duff is one of the teenage Disney stars who have manager to maintain a successful career. Lorraine Donnegan was written to be a glamourous, clever and beautiful character. In the UK the character was played by Daniela Denby-Ashe who played the role amazingly! Therefore the only person I can believe to be Lorraine is Hilary.

Christine Mulgrew- Once again I have included another amazing member of the Breaking Bad cast within the cast I would choose for Waterloo Road USA. Anna Gunn is an amazing powerful actress who would play the troubled alcoholic English teacher/Head Teacher Christine Mulgrew.

Audrey McFall- Jamie Lee Curtis is a brilliant actress who has portrayed a great amount of characters, I believe that she would be perfect for playing Audrey McFall, Waterloo Road's very own history teacher, originally played by Georgie Glenn. Jamie would suit this part perfectly.

Connor Mulgrew- Josh plays the amazing character Peta within the Hunger Games series however I truly believe if there was a big enough budget within this production Connor Mulgrew (originally played by Shane O'Meara) should be played by Hutcherson as he is the best american actor that fits the part.

Imogen Mulgrew/Stewart- Isabelle is famous for her role in the horror/thriller, Orphan as Esther. Imogen Stewart was originally played by Kirstie Steele who made this character different from the other pupils and more of an individual therefore I believe that Isabelle's unique style of acting would help create the same effect for the USA's version of Waterloo Road.

Kevin Chalk- Nathan Kress is famous for being a teenage actor in the hit TV Series iCarly. Tommy Knight originally played the character Kevin Chalk in the UK version of Waterloo Road, therefore if there was an American adaption Kress would be the most likely person to become this character.

Rhiannon Salt- Elizabeth is a fantastic actress who suits being character's with a hard exterior with a contrasting soft interior, that is exactly what you get with originally Rebecca Craven's character, Rhiannon Salt, a badly behaved teenager with so much emotion, this is why I think Elizabeth is amazing for this role.

Carol Barry- Jennifer Coolidge is a comical actress who has been in a mix of movies such as click and epic movie. Zoe Lucker originally played Carol Barry in the UK version of Waterloo Road and she done an amazing portrayal of this tough, comical and glamorous mother of Kacey, Barry and Dynasty Barry. I believe Jennifer Coolidge would do a fantastic portrayal of this character or perhaps even change the character a bit which would make her still the familiar character we know but more funny.

Barry Barry- Christopher is famous for having a geeky role within his movies or TV Series however in recent years he has taken over a number of roles which have more of a serious tone to them. Carl Au originally played the devious Barry Barry in the UK version of Waterloo Road, I believe that Christopher would be able to recreate this character in a US adaptation.

Dynasty Barry- Kathryn has played parts which involve a character which is popular with other characters in the movie/TV show. Abby Mavers originally played Dynasty in the UK version of Waterloo Road, I believe Kathryn would be able to recreate the character in an american version of the TV Series.

Kacey/Robbie Barry- The troubled younger sister from the Barrys, Kacey is the girl who is confused about her sexuality, Brogan Ellis played Kacey originally, however I think Taissa would be able to played Kacey because of her amazing acting skills and also she looks younger than her actual age therefore this means that even though Taissa is older than Kathryn she looks younger.

Simon Lowsley- Johnny is famous for playing Leonard Hofstadter in the hit sitcom, the big bang theory. Simon Lowsley is the deputy head of Waterloo Road with a modern approach to teaching, originally played by Richard Mylan, Lowsley is a character which the staff at Waterloo Road find difficult to like due to his determination to become head teacher of Waterloo Road. I believe Galecki would be an amazing actor to play Simon.

Sue Spark/Lowsley- Simon's other half, Sue is one of the worst teachers Waterloo Road has got to offer, no confidence and enjoys to indulge in her personal life within the class room. Originally played by Vanessa Hehir, Sue isn't exactly the viewers favourite teacher some of the time however when the character is used to make some scenes funny she is likeable this is why I think Jayma would be amazing for this part as she would make this character likeable and more humourous for the American audience.

Sonya Donnegan- Nikki Blonsky is an amazing actress who is best known for playing Tracy Turnblad in the movie Hairspray. Victoria Bush played Sonya originally in Waterloo Road, Sonya is the comical character within waterloo road however there was some drama involved with her. I believe that Nikki Blonsky would be an amazing actress to play this character.

George Windsor- Originally played by Angus Deayton, George Windsor is the badly behaved teacher who is always against every pupil and staff at Waterloo Road however this character is one of the most comical, therefore it would be amazing for the fantastic Charlie Sheen to play this funny character.

Darren Hughes- Jake Cherry is famous for playing Nicky in the night at the museum. Darren Hughes is the troublemaker school boy who was originally played by Mark Beswick, I believe that Jake would be able to become this character in a US adaptation of Waterloo Road.

Gabriella Wark- Chloë is a dedicated actress who is very good at portraying a mix of characters and has been acting since a young age, the reason I thought of her for Naomi Battrick's character, the evil bitch Gabriella Wark is because I think she could become the evil girl who causes chaos.
