Kung Fu Panda fighting game

With the release Kung Fu Panda 4, I always thought to myself: What if there was a Kung Fu Panda fighting game? And I don't mean a platform fighting game similar to Super Smash Bros., I'm thinking about a true & traditional fighting game like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. As someone who grew up watching the first three Kung Fu Panda movies before becoming a fighting game fan, a real fighting game based on the franchise was always on my mind, even before the fourth film released.

Previously, there existed a fighting game based on the franchise called "Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends". But considering that it's a platform fighter, I decided to take up the task of building the cast of this hypothetical game. "Showdown of Legendary Legends" featured characters from the first three films, including a scrapped character and a character from one of the second movie's promotional shorts. Not only would this game feature characters from said three films, but a majority of the DLC fighters would be characters who made their debut in the three TV shows: "Legends of Awesomeness", "The Paws of Destiny", and "The Dragon Knight". Four characters from the fourth film and an original fighter based on a scrapped character from the second movie will also be featured. Despite Kung Fu Panda 4 co-director Stephanie Ma-Stine declaring the three TV shows non-canon to the movies, as well as their divisiveness among the fanbase, don't worry: this game takes place in a parallel timeline that exists outside of the movie continuity. Anyone can get in.

The base roster would feature twenty-two fighters; twenty-one characters from the first three films, and one original fighter created for this game. Said original fighter would be the main antagonist and final boss of the game's story and arcade modes. The DLC would consist of five Character Passes with the first three containing six fighters each and the latter two both containing four. The final fighter of the fourth and fifth Passes each would be a guest character.

The voice cast would contain a plethora of role reprisals from the TV shows, a few new replacements, and only three actors returning from the movies. Those returning to voice said characters from the movies will be denoted with asterisks.
