Now I’ve already reviewed Mary and the Witch’s Flower earlier this year. That first review is on Nerdly for you to check out and goes into a little more detail about things like the dubbing. However, it’s not very often I give the movies I review a second opinion but how does Mary and the Witch’s Flower hold up after a second glance?Well, honestly, there isn’t much else I can add that I didn’t already mention in my first review of the Studio Ponoc film.
The story of Mary and the Witch’s Flower is based on the children’s classic, My Little Broomstick by Mary Stewart.

This Christmas we’re in for a real treat. On Boxing Day night the BBC are showing a brand new spin-off episode of Roy Clarke’s classic convenience shop comedy Open All Hours to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Several cast members – including Sir David Jason and Lynda Baron as Nurse Gladys Emmanuel – are reprising their roles from the original series for this Christmas special. The filming of this has also led to strong speculation Still Open All Hours will be given a full sequel series next year.
As delightful as that future prospect sounds, it got us wondering at WhatCulture about what made the original show so great and laugh out loud funny? Many younger viewers may not be aware of Ronnie Barker’s comic genius, but he starred both in Open All Hours as the money-grabbing Albert Arkwright and loveable lag Norman Stanley Fletcher in prison sitcom Porridge.

Remember those obscure TV shows you used to watch when you were really little? No, me either. I mean we can remember bits and pieces of them, the occasional character name perhaps, or a catchy theme tune that for some reason has remained somewhere within the dark recesses of your brain all these years, but you probably never took the time out to research the show as an adult that you so adored as a child.
Thanks to the dawn of the Internet era, with websites such as IMDb, we have the tools at our disposal to answer the questions, “Oh, what have I seen him in?” Or, in this case, “Damn, what was that show called again..?”

So The Doctor's on yet another goodbye mission. Since bidding adieu to Amy and Rory at the end of The God Complex, nearly 200 years have passed. Now The Doctor's apparently facing the end of his days – note the word, apparently – by now, every man, woman, child, cat, dog, guinea pig, hamster and fly realised that The Doctor wouldn't die – you can't have a successful, long-running show and then just axe it without warning. Not even a cut-ridden BBC can kill off that indomitable Time Lord for good.
But hey – any excuse for yet another whistle-stop tour of old friends. Presumably, in the future, The Doctor will take this to the next level. He'll go out and buy himself a musty old copy of the Doctor Who A-z Encyclopaedia by Jean-Marc Lofficier and visit every last character he's met during his many lives – yes, right down to the bumbling Louvre Guide...

Courtesy: Amclondon, UK (X17online) - The British Academy of Film and Television Arts television award nominees are out, and some American favorites are in the running. The U.S. is, as usual, dominating the Best International Show category. Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Glee and the Danish crime drama The Killing will compete for the award May 22 at this year's British Academy Television Awards. The question becomes if anyone can top Mad Men, which won the award in 2010 and 2009. This is the first nomination for the other three, and The Killing has received almost worldwide critical praise. Mad Men, which has won best international show at the Brit TV BAFTA awards for the past two years, is up against Boardwalk Empire, Glee, and Danish crime thriller The Killing. This year’s BAFTA TV awards will take place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on May 22, fronted by chat show host Graham Norton. BBC1 will televise the show on the night. Misfits, the sci-fi drama that U.S. broadcasters are sniffing around for a remake, leads the nominations in four categories. The BBC’s Sherlock has three nominations in total, as do Channel 4’s drama Any Human Heart and the BBC’s The Road to Coronation Street, the story of how the UK’s longest-running soap nearly never made it on air. Other names known in Hollywood up for awards include Steve Coogan and Gillian Anderson, and The X Factor is nominated for Entertainment Programme. The BBC...

I love cartoons - the escapism, the fun, and most of all, the nostalgia factor from my childhood days. In particular, the Hanna Barbera cartoons were a staple part of pre-teen youth as much as Grifter bicycles, space hoppers, and of course, Doctor Who.
If you're a fan of Hanna Barbera cartoons, then try and spot the parallels with some classic Who adventures. Terror Of The Autons features a bearded fiend, a quaking wimp and dozens of failed inventions - just like Dastardly And Muttley In Their Flying Machines. The Web Of Fear, The Robots Of Death and The Monster Of Peladon are all examples of the Scooby Doo-esque whodunnits. And then Enlightenment comes along with its homage to Wacky Races in space.
Ok, so the competitors are racing along in boat spaceships rather than cars, but they're an eclectic mix including blank-faced Edwardians, Greeks and bwa-ha-ha-ing pirates. And naturally the latter example,...
