What It Is: Training with the Sky Blue Football Club, one of the ten professional women’s soccer teams in the National Women’s Soccer League
Who Tried It: Briana Draguca, Style and Beauty Intern
Level of Difficulty: 7/10. It’s not every day that a regular person gets to work out like a pro athlete. My muscle memory definitely needed some refreshing (I totally forgot how to strike a soccer ball). Luckily, the players took it easy on me.
I played soccer in high school, so professional women’s soccer has always been something I hold close to my heart.

Another D23, a massive Disney fan event, is now behind us. Over the weekend, the Anaheim convention centre was transformed into the ultimate Disney fan HQ with autograph signings by stars, fan photo ops, and all kinds of exclusive merch. It also turns into the hub of entertainment news, with 3 days of big, star-filled panels. While that was happening, I was busy covering the red carpet behind the stage, talking with all the filmmakers and stars, while a crowd of thousands of fans erupted at the big announcements being made on the other side of the wall. I did run into a few Canadian fans on the convention floor over the weekend, but in case you weren’t there,...

Joe Cole is set to make his loan move from Aston Villa to Coventry City permanent by the end of the week, The Independent reports.
The midfielder has been on loan at the Ricoh Arena since October, but is keen to make the move from the Barclays Premier League to League One a full-time one.
Coventry manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed that Cole will need to take a pay cut if he wants the deal to happen, he said:
“I think the player will help us but there’s a number of discussions to be had, not just with our football club and the clubs concerned.
“There’s no way we could pay similar sorts of salary levels so they’ll have discussions with their parent clubs and after that, we need to have discussions with their advisors. So there’s lots of stuff to be talked about.

Early last month news broke that AMC – the guys behind hit shows Walking Dead and Breaking Bad – had ordered a pilot to be made of all time cult classic comic book series Preacher to fill the gargantuan void left by Walter White and his Sky Blue meth.
Despite being as excited as a new puppy in a bubble factory, none of us was willing to invest too much in the announcement after several failed attempts to bring the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon comic opus to life numerous times in the last decade despite being tied to big names like Kevin Smith, HBO and Sam Mendes. The latest attempt however came from way out in the left field when lardy comic Seth Rogen; better known for his laugh out loud stoner roles – laid claim to his involvement via his Twitter account.

Last night we witnessed the full attacking prowess at Manchester City’s disposal as last season’s Premier League runners-up ruthlessly dismantled a 10-man Newcastle team at the Etihad.
It was the Citizen’s familiar faces who did all the damage as David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri got their names on the scoresheet, and that’s not taking into account the exciting new talent at manager Manuel Pellegrini’s beck and call.
Jesus Navas started on the wing, striker Alvaro Negredo came on as a second half substitute while forward Stevan Jovetic, who scored thirteen league goals last season, wasn’t even on the bench.
The Sky Blue’s attacking might is frightening, and so it should be considering the £90 million outlay it took to assemble.
With arguably one of the best attacks in the division though, are there are any chinks in City’s armour?...

According to The Guardian, Manchester City are close to completing a £30 million transfer for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder, Fernandinho
The 28-year-old was seen arriving at a private Manchester hospital for his City medical on Wednesday morning, indicating a deal was imminent.
The Brazilian’s buyout clause, which is £42.5 million, has not been activated due to Manchester City and the Ukrainian team having agreed a deal believed to worth around £30 million for his services.
Fernandinho will be The Citizen’s second transfer of the summer after completing the signing of Sevilla winger Jesus Navas for a fee of around £24 million earlier this week. Once Fernandinho is confirmed as a Sky Blue player, City’s transfer spend will be up to £54 million and we are only a few days into June.

Former Manchester City star Mario Balotelli is convinced his former side will emerge victorious from tonight’s top-of-the-table Manchester derby.
The enigmatic Italian, who swapped the Sky Blue of City for the Red and Black of AC Milan in January, hopes his former employers can find a way to win tonight’s encounter at Old Trafford.
And he admitted he would be tuning in tonight to watch the Premier League clash.
“I am sure Roberto Mancini will find the right way to win the derby. I really hope City win.
“I am sure me and Nigel (de Jong) will watch the game – perhaps not together – but we will both supporting our ex-teammates, the boss and the supporters big time: we want a win.”

Talksport have sensationally announced on their website that Manchester City are planning an audacious bid to land Barcelona star striker David Villa before the end of the transfer window. Having been relatively quiet in the transfer window so far – much to Roberto Mancini’s chagrin – and having missed out on Arsenal star Robin Van Persie, the Premier League winners could now pull off “the biggest deal of the window” according to the Talksport website.
That report says that City will follow up their 2008 deadline-beating sensational swoop for Robinho with a big money move for Villa, who was out for most of last season after breaking his leg during the Club World Cup competition in a match against Al Sadd.
According to Talksport, Barcelona would be reluctant to sell Villa, who is still considered one of the best strikers in Europe, but they could be swayed by a bid of between...

It’s a little too easy to correlate the relaxed, familiar sound of Wilco’s recent work and the present state of the group, which is as settled as it’s ever been. But after presenting itself as a different band—figuratively and literally—on every album it put out in the ’90s and early ’00s, Wilco has nested on its last three records. For lack of a better term, 2007’s Sky Blue Sky and ’09’s Wilco (The Album) were very Wilco-sounding—and there used to not be such a thing, perhaps because Jeff Tweedy couldn’t keep ...

While we’re talking about the arbitrary, 5- or 10-year incremental celebrations of albums, let’s prepare for impending decade anniversary of Wilco’s “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.” That seminal effort dropped in April 2002; pick through reviews of the Chicago-based band’s last three albums – 2009’s “Wilco (The Album),” 2007’s “Sky Blue Sky” and 2004’s “A Ghost Is Born” -- and see critics reaching and plucking out what they can of some semblance to “Yhf.” That’s in part because Wilco still subscribes to those same influences like Beatles, Big Star and the Byrds. But it’s still evident on new “The Whole Love” that the...

The Australian musician, who is back in the charts with his new album Blue Sky Blue, said that he wanted to "stop" performing after he split from wife of three years Amanda back in 2009. Murray told New Idea magazine: "I just wanted to stop. I wasn't interested. I wanted time to myself and my kids [7-year-old Charlie and 4-year-old Pedro]. And I needed a break to come out with something fresh too. "[The album is] intense in parts. There is break-up stuff there, but it's not negative. It's really positive. It's about just living your life and looking ahead." Murray admitted that his ex-wife has not heard the album, but said that his children always listen to his music. There seems to be no exhausting the raw eyeball pleasure to be had from old-fashioned handmade (or semi-handmade, or whatever) animation, and we may be well living through a pop renaissance of it.
The eruptions below the Pixar/Dreamworks budget tier have been spectacular and international, beginning perhaps with 2003's "The Triplets of Belleville," learning from Miyazaki, Oshii, Aardman and the Quays, moving on to Kim Moon-saeng's "Sky Blue," machinima, "The Corpse Bride," "A Scanner Darkly," "Persepolis," "Coraline," "Waltz with Bashir," "Fantastic Mr. Fox," "Mary & Max," "Sita Sings the Blues," "Fear(s) in the Dark," "The Secret of Kells," and now the Belgian nonpareil "A Town Called Panic."
The variety of toolboxes and styles at work seem limitless (the seductive but uniform look of pure 3D computer animation is getting tiresome just as other approaches proliferate), but it's the personal engagement that makes most of the films sing.

Kieron Richardson looked nervous to be skating in tonight’s Dancing On Ice final and he opened the show with his high wire routine. We are still a little surprised that Kieron made the final, he was so shaky during the first few weeks that we never thought he’d get to the halfway point, never mind the final! However, he has definitely been the most improved contestant and even judge Emma Bunton is backing him to win!
Wearing a ‘Caribbean Sky Blue’ costume, Kieron was more graceful in the air than he normally is on the ice and if he just had managed to perfect his landings it would have been an amazing routine.
Judges Comments:
Score: 24.0
Robin: I was very worried in the rehearsal this afternoon, because I thought it was showing off a lot of ungainliness. But somehow tonight you actually delivered a very strong and competent performance.

Probably the strangest (and somehow best) news of the day is the fact that former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney got into an altercation on an airplane with Sky Blu, who counts himself as one half of party-dance duo Lmfao. If nothing else, it allowed for the words "Mitt Romney" and "Sky Blu" to be associated in the same story, and the two will forever be tied together as one of the great politician versus musician feuds.

Is there anything better than Nathan Fillion? If there is, I haven't found it yet. He's just so awesome. At everything. Exhibit A: donning his old Firefly costume in the previous episode of Castle. We like space cowboys too, Nathan.
On November 2 we get a new episode of Castle and we've got the synopsis, promo and promo photos to share with you below.
Am I going nuts or is the song for this promo video the same song that was used in Twilight during the vampire baseball scene? Also, am I nuts for even knowing this? The answer: yes.
