Exclusive: Hell’s Kitchen studio Tinopolis may be hit with a class-action-style lawsuit and other backlash after an incandescent group of former producers were left out of pocket to the tune of £50 million ($70 million) as a result of a controversial financial restructuring.
Tinopolis is one of Britain’s largest production groups, owning 16 companies in the UK and U.S. including A. Smith & Co. Productions, which makes Hell’s Kitchen and Ninja Warrior, and Premier League soccer producer Sunset+Vine. But Tinopolis said it was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, during which revenue was dented by canceled sports events and “severe” filming restrictions in California, where it makes shows like the Rob Lowe-fronted Mental Samurai for Fox.
Tinopolis executive chairman Ron Jones launched a rescue mission that culminated in a complex financial restructuring last week. But the maneuver has stoked fury among around 15 producers who were once part of the group.

Many a heated debate has raged over who is the greatest athlete of all time. Is it Michael Jordan? Muhammad Ali? Wayne Gretzky? Perhaps soccer great Pelé? Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk? The question goes from the barroom to the laboratory on Sunday with Espn Sport Science: Greatest Athlete of All Time (March 10 at 3:30/2:30c on Espn).
"Previously, people would identify the best player or the person who had the biggest impact on their sport," says host John Brenkus, whose Sport Science segments air on SportsCenter and in periodic specials on the network. "What we're analyzing are categories like quickness, agility, speed, strength, power, endurance, durability, performance under pressure. We're looking for the real athlete, not just the player."

Premiere dates, as we’ve already told you, for the Mmo game-linked Defiance and for fan favorite Warehouse 13 are now confirmed, as well as the return of Ghost Hunters.
New unscripted series announced include a paranormal show with a southern accent, Deep South Paranormal, and a William Shatner-hosted – Yes, William Shatner – examination of stories of the bizarre and unexplained entitled Weird or What? Yes, a nice title, but once again the Syfy Original Movie has offered up the best chuckleworthy title of the season: Stonados.

Producers: John Brenkus, Mickey Stern and Ron Ziskin. Cast: Jael De Pardo, Devin Marble, Jack Osbourne, and Dana Workman. Just where can a "Haunted Highway" take a weary traveller? SyFy's latest entry into the paranormal reality genre answers that question by going not to where no man has gone before, but into the lakes, riversides and forests of, so far, America's hidden registry of cryptids. The two teams that make up this show are headed to nowhere fast if the bland production values are any indication. Unlike this network's two better known products, namely "Ghost Hunters" and "Destination Truth," which is embellished with some character drama and a few charismatic figures, this new series has the feel of giving the supporting characters of Jael de Pardo and Devin Marble from "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" their own vehicle to make it out on their own. The other pairing in the...

The seemingly endless wait for the Syfy summer schedule is finally over! There is good news and bad, and one thing that is both good and bad. Let’s start with that: the Eureka Season Finale. We love Eureka, so every episode is good news; the fact that it’s a series finale, not so much. Mark your calendars – and have plenty of Kleenex in stock – for July 16 at 9/8c. Right after Comic-Con, which is early this year. We’ll see if that means a panel or not.
The good news: Warehouse 13 and Alphas return on July 23. The hmmm news is that Lost Girl will move to Fridays at 10 on July 20. Hey That’S Haven’S Spot. So Where The Heck Is Haven? Admittedly we had a head’s up that Haven would be pushed to fall when we learned that the DVDs for Season 2 weren’t being released until September but Argh.

Los Angeles — It's become a proud athletic tradition: Winning "Dancing With the Stars."
When Hines Ward took home the mirrorball trophy on the hit show Tuesday, he joined its winningest group of alumni: Athletes. Professional athletes have taken the "Dancing" title six times in the past 12 seasons.
Since the show premiered stateside in 2005, three Olympians, two football stars and one race-car driver have been named "Dancing" champs. Three other NFL stars and an Olympic skater finished the popular show in second place.
Ward, a Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and former Super Bowl most valuable player, credits his professional dance partner, Kym Johnson, with their dance victory. He plans to keep his new mirrorball right next to his Super Bowl trophy.
"It's special," the 35-year-old said, glittery trophy in hand. "With football, it takes all 53 guys. With this mirrorball, it was just Kym and I together in the studio putting in the hours.

For my money the only paranormal show worth its salt is "Destination Truth", but that doesn't mean I won't consume new bits of spooky stuff like a bag of BBQ potato chips when it comes my way!
According to The Hollywood Reporter Syfy will announce at Tuesday's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York that it has picked up a trio of reality series -- "Haunted Collector", "Legend Quest" and "Paranormal Witness" -- to launch later this year. The series will join the net’s growing cadre of unscripted hits, including "Ghost Hunters", "Destination Truth" and "Face Off", which was recently renewed for a second season.

G4 has ordered a Web-centric spinoff of popular E! series "The Soup."
The new series, "Web Soup," features comedian Chris Hardwick ("Attack of the Show") showing viewers the best and worst moments in online video. Each episode is broken into segments with such titles as "This Week in Fail" and "Things You Can't Un-See."
"G4 viewers are Web-obsessed, and this show brings the Internet to television in a way that's edgy and fun," G4 president Neal Tiles said.
"Web Soup" debuts June 7. It's from the producers of fellow Comcast-owned network E!'s "The Soup," a revival of "Talk Soup," which launched in 1991. "Web Soup" executive producers include Edward Boyd, K.P. Anderson, Boyd Vico and Brad Stevens.
G4 also is renewing its series "Human Wrecking Balls" for a second season, ordering 10 additional episodes. The show features Craig and Paul Pumphrey smashing anything from airplanes to homes with their bare hands while racking up world records.
