Marc Roussel is the Canadian director behind various short films. One his latest efforts, Remote (starring: Ron Basch, Sarah Silverthorne, George Komorowski, Peter Racanelli, Julie McCarthy, Nadia Di Carlo, Chris Willis, Ruth Barrett and Don Tjart) is a horror / thriller in which a man communicates via his television set to one of the former tenants of his residency. However, as there conversation progresses, he discovers that she was murdered by a vengeful slasher and it's up to him to try and prevent what happened in the past while in the present. With Remote, Marc Roussel showed that he is capable of directing a competently acted short film with a sleek, professional look on a modest budget. Remote also showed an ability to build and craft suspense through dialogue and the actions that the characters take instead of through editing techniques or gratuitous violence. Perhaps Marc Roussel will carry over these abilities into a feature film?...
