“Breaking Bad” fans are hoping that Vince Gilligan‘s new movie, “Greenbrier,” is connected to the Emmy-winning TV series. His hometown newspaper, the Albuquerque Journal, did some digging at the New Mexico Film Office and found out that production is set to start on this Sony release in November and run till February. However there is no confirmation from either Gilligan or the studio that the film is connected to the TV show.
We know nothing about the movie, other than the barest of plot details which come from the official description: ‘Greenbrier’ tracks the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom. Nmfo director Nick Maniatis confirmed that the speaking cast of “Greenbrier” includes 16 locals while another 45o will act as extras.

It looks like The Walking Dead isn’t the only AMC property that is getting the movie treatment. According to the Albuquerque Journal, Breaking Bad is also getting a movie!
This might be a hard pill to swallow, but this might actually be happening as the information comes from the New Mexico Film Office.
The report goes on to say the the project is being developed under the name "Greenbrier," and the story is said to centers around a kidnapped man making an escape.
There’s no information on what members of the original cast will return for the film, but since Bryan Cranston’s Walter White died in the series, it’s safe to say that he won’t be a part of it. But, there’s obviously a chance that Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman or Walter Jr. who was played by Rj Mitte could be in it.
