Bronx-born character actor Joe E. Tata had a career that spanned decades, yet for millions of GenXers, he will always be Beverly Hills, 90210’s fatherly Nat Bussichio, owner of high school hangout The Peach Pit. But Tata wasn’t just a generous host on screen — he also loved having castmembers to his own home, a light-filled modern stunner nestled high above the city in Hollywood Hills West.
The house, which boasts four bedrooms, four baths and a spacious living and dining area for entertaining, has just hit the market for $2.175 million. The listing is held by Jeffrey Billinger of The Hills Premier Realty.
“The cast of 90210 were frequent visitors to the house, and my father considered them more than just acquaintances; he saw them as an extension of his family,” says Tata’s daughter Kelly. “The atmosphere was filled with laughter, shared memories and the genuine camaraderie that developed over time.

Sunday’s SAG Awards ceremony will be a streaming event for the first time on the Netflix YouTube channel. One of the highlights each year is the special In Memoriam segment. It’s been a particularly rough year with over 100 deaths of prominent actors and actresses who were likely members of SAG/AFTRA. Show producers typically are able to include approximately 40-50 people in a tribute.
Among that group will certainly be Oscar winners Louise Fletcher, William Hurt and Irene Cara, plus nominees Angela Lansbury (a SAG life achievement recipient) and Melinda Dillon. Emmy champs Mary Alice, Kirstie Alley, Leslie Jordan, Ray Liotta, Stuart Margolin, Robert Morse and Barbara Walters.

He added. “To quote Shakespeare, ‘All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players, they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts.’ As we acknowledge the legends within our industry will pass on, we celebrate all that they created and shared with the world. May they rest in peace and power.”

Ok, now it’s a party. Shannen Doherty has signed on to appear in Fox’s upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210-inspired limited series.
The six-part event, airing sometime this summer, finds the original stars of the primetime soap — Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling — playing exaggerated versions of their real-life selves, with storylines “inspired by their real lives and relationships with each other.” Here’s what we can expect, according to Fox:

Attention fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 geeks!
In what might be the most epic TV reunion ever, 90210 stars Jennie Garth (Kelly), Luke Perry (Dylan) Jason Priestley (Brandon) and Tori Spelling (Donna) got together for REWindCon in Bloomingdale, Illinois over the weekend.
Exclusive: Shannon Doherty Honored With Courage Award
Sixteen years after the Fox show's final episode, the '80s and '90s-focused fan convention saw the actors unite for photos, panels and meet-and-greets. And, while one of their most memorable co-stars, Shannen Doherty, could not attend due to breast cancer treatments, the group made her presence felt with heartfelt tributes.
“None of us are up here today without Shannen,” said Perry, who played Doherty’s on-screen boyfriend, Dylan, for years. “She’s been through a lot. She’s not doing well right now, but sometimes her contributions are minimized.”
“She’s been thrown under the bus,” the Riverdale star continued. “I’ve been accused of driving it. But she’s a...

Continuing the celebration of Beverly Hills, 90210‘s thirtieth anniversary this month, here are the final 13 iconic moments, covering the show’s later years, in which its most notable events involve the departures of major characters as the show transforms into a more traditional primetime soap opera.
13. Valerie arrives in Beverly Hills: Season 5, Episode 1, “What I Did On My Summer Vacation and Other Stories”
With the onset of the fifth season of Beverly Hills, 90210, the producers of the show found themselves needing to fill the void left behind by Shannon Doherty’s departure. To do so, they tapped Tiffani Amber-Thiessen, fresh off her iconic role as Kelly Kapowski on Saved by the Bell (the kind of squeaky-clean, brightly-colored, no-consequences teen show that 90210, in its early existence, was actively working in contrast against) to play Valerie Malone, an old friend of the Walshes transplanted from Buffalo, NY to Beverly Hills. We Love Soaps TV surveyed our readers and viewers this week to find out which primetime soap opera is their all-time favorite. Knots Landing finished on top, edging out Dallas. See the entire list below:
1. Knots Landing (22%)
Conceived by David Jacobs before Dallas, CBS wanted a flashier show in 1978, leading Jacobs to create Dallas. He then launched Knots Landing as a spinoff with the characters of Gary and Valene Ewing. The show premiered on December 27, 1979 and ran until May 13, 1993. Set in a fictitious coastal suburb of Los Angeles in California, the show originally centered on the lives of four married couples living in a cul-de-sac, Seaview Circle.

For fans of Beverly Hills, 90210, one of the main reasons to watch CW's 90210 was seeing some of the original actors. Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty), Donna Martin Silver (Tori Spelling), Jackie Taylor (Ann Gillespie), and the Peach Pit's Nat Bussichio (Joe E. Tata) each stopped by for a few episodes.
Jennie Garth, who plays Kelly Taylor, was essentially a series regular in the first season of 90210 and many viewers got wrapped up in trying to guess who fathered her four-year-old son -- Brandon (Jason Priestley) or Dylan (Luke Perry). Neither man were seen on-camera but Kelly did reunite with daddy Dylan off-screen.
Kelly has been helping to raise her half-sister, Erin (Jessica Stroup), and dealing with her alcoholic mother's battle with breast cancer. Jackie Taylor lost her battle recently and mother and daughters were able to make amends before she passed.

Fans of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 have been treated to appearances by several original castmembers -- Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, Joe E. Tata, and Ann Gillespie -- and last night, another alumna returned home. It's been a long time in coming.

The producers of the new Beverly Hills, 90210 TV series have recreated the show's fabled Peach Pit diner in the heart of Hollywood.
The cast and crew have taken over the popular Kokomo Cafe and turned it into the cult TV series' favourite hang-out.
One fan, who spotted the shooting while driving past, tells WENN, "It was amazing - they had the old Peach Pit sign hanging over the Kokomo sign.
"And they even had the original Nat (actor Joe E. Tata) on set on Wednesday."
No other original stars were on view, although Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling have both signed up for the new show - and Shannen Doherty is in negotiations to play a grown up Brenda Walsh.
The Kokomo Cafe takeover will be shortlived - a permanent Peach Pit diner and nightclub is currently being built on a nearby soundstage.
