Some Big Brother 25 drama surfaced (again) on social media between America Lopez and Jared Fields.
America and Jared were on the BB25 cast, but both came up short in their quest to win the $750,000.
Jared was sent home early in the season after trying to play both sides of the house. It was part of an attempt to keep it a secret that fellow player Cirie Fields is his mom.
America made it to the jury phase of the season but got evicted a bit before the final weeks happened. America then voted for Jag Bains to win on the finale night.
As a reminder, Jag beat Matt Klotz to become the Big Brother 25 winner. Bowie Jane finished in third place, and Cameron Hardin was named America’s Favorite Houseguest.

Big Brother 23 featured Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss.
The BB23 cast members were on the wrong side of The Cookout alliance that summer, leading to their early exits from the game.
But Derek and Claire made it to the jury phase. A romantic relationship developed between them in the jury house.
The secret of the relationship between Derek and Claire was kept close by their fellow jury members, and it only became public after the season finale.
As a reminder, The Cookout dominated that season, taking all six of its alliance members to the end.
The BB23 jury voted unanimously for Xavier Prather to win over Derek Frazier. It made Xavier the first winner of the $750,000 prize. The prize had been at $500,000 for the previous 22 seasons.

Big Brother Reindeer Games, the surprise hit of the holiday season, came to a close on Thursday night (December 21) as the Christmas-themed spinoff crowned its first winner. The two-week special kicked off on CBS on December 11 and saw nine former Big Brother houseguests enter “Santa’s Lodge” where they battled it out in a series of holiday-themed competitions in an effort to “save Christmas.” Those nine returning players were Xavier Prather, Taylor Hale, Nicole Franzel, Frankie Grande, Cameron Hardin, Cody Calafiore, Danielle Reyes, Josh Martinez, and Britney Haynes. The show was hosted by fellow Big Brother alumni Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd. Thursday’s finale came down to a face-off between Season 24 winner Hale and Season 18 winner Franzel. The pair had to scale a pile of foam pieces, navigate a maze, and build a tower out of snowflakes, and it was that last part that proved the trickiest.

Heading into the season finale of “Big Brother Reindeer Games,” Frankie Grande (BB16), Nicole Franzel-Arroyo, Taylor Hale (BB24) and Xavier Prather (BB23) were all still in the hunt to win the $100,000 grand prize. But which ho-ho-houseguest ultimately claimed victory and saved Christmas?

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details on who won the competition.
CBS’s Big Brother Reindeer Games, a six-episode spinoff of the reality series featuring holiday-themed competitions, held its grand finale tonight.
The two-week show, which launched Dec. 11, kicked off with nine Big Brother veterans vying to make the final four. The show was hosted by former Big Brother HouseGuests Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd. The objective: save Christmas.
As might be expected from the title, the Christmas theme was everywhere. The house was named Santa’s Lodge, and its entryway was decorated with flying reindeer and gold-wrapped presents. The living room has a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments and wreaths, and the kitchen, aka “Mrs. Claus Bakery,” was adorned with gingerbread men.
The battle threw aside season’s greetings and became fierce. In the end, Nicole Franzel was the winner over former Miss Michigan Taylor Hale, copping the show’s $100,000 grand prize.

Big Brother has been on the air for over 23 years, delivering wild twists, quests for power, and drama.
This year's entry -- Big Brother 25 -- was the show's longest to date, clocking in at 100 days- long, resulting in one of the biggest duds in its history.
If you were in the market for twists that went nowhere, the game being randomly paused for a week thanks to a twist, and evictions not sticking, it was the season you've always been waiting for.
As a fan since the beginning, I want to forget about Big Brother Season 25 because it went on too long and didn't have the excitement of prior seasons due to the terrible pace.
While there were rumors that CBS could be prepping a Legends season for the winter as the network struggles with a lack of shows due to the strikes, we're getting something different.

It’s not nine lords a leaping but nine alums competing again in the “Big Brother” house. “Big Brother Reindeer Games” unveiled its full cast on Thursday and it’s probably who you might’ve expected.
The cast features five “Big Brother” champs — Cody Calafiore, Nicole Franzel, Taylor Hale, Josh Martinez and Xavier Prather — in addition to Season 12 America’s Favorite Player Britney Haynes and reigning Season 25 Afp Cameron Hardin. Rounding out the cast are “Bb” legends Frankie Grande and Danielle Reyes.
The inclusion of Britney, Frankie and Danielle isn’t too surprising since they were the ones who activated the multiverse on Season 25 with the Time Laser and unleashed “Reindeer Games” when they attempted to fix it on the finale last month.

“Big Brother” icons are coming back to compete for a $100,000 grand prize… and to save the holidays, of course.
CBS announced the cast for “Big Brother Reindeer Games,” the franchise’s first-ever holiday special, set to debut with a two-hour premiere on Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. Et., on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
Here’s the official synopsis: “This ultimate holiday showdown brings together legendary former players, including previous winners and America’s Favorite Players. The holiday special filled with the most challenging and unpredictable holiday-themed competitions will pit Bb legends against each other as they face a new game with an all-new set of rules.”
Unlike “Big Brother,” this is strictly about the competitions and the cast will not be living inside the house. It will take place over two weeks with six “action-packed holiday-themed episodes.” Each episode with feature three competitions, ending in “Santa’s Showdown,” during which...

During the season finale of “Big Brother 25,” perennial host Julie Chen Moonves made a big announcement about an upcoming spin-off series. “Get ready for a brand new show from the ‘Big Brother’ universe. It’s called ‘Big Brother Reindeer Games,'” teased the Chen-Bot. “It’s a new game and a new set of rules, as legendary ‘Bb’ players return to compete to be the last one standing. Six action-packed holiday-themed episodes with special appearances from ‘Bb’ favorites — Jordan Lloyd, Derek Xiao and Tiffany Mitchell — as Santa’s Elves.”
Surprisingly, the “Big Brother Reindeer Games” cast members will not live in the “Bb” house and will not vote each other out. Instead, everything will be centered about competitions. In other words, get ready to hear “Let’s go!” a lot. All six episodes will be pre-taped prior to its debut on December 11, which means there will be no live shows and no live feeds.

The 25th anniversary season of Big Brother concluded last night after 42 episodes. While that season is over, there's still more to come from the Big Brother House later this year.
CBS has announced that a new series titled Big Brother Reindeer Games will begin airing in December and run for six episodes over two weeks. The competition will feature nine "Bb legends" and will be led by veterans Derek Xiao (season 23), Tiffany Mitchell (season 23), and Jordan Lloyd (seasons 11 and 13).
In 2018, 2021, and 2022, CBS aired Big Brother: Celebrity Edition during the winter months. That might have been an option this season, but it would have been tough to get commitments from celebrity participants prior to the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.Read More…...

Julie Chen shared an exciting holiday announcement at the end of the Big Brother season 25 finale!
The host acted as if something was wrong and said there was something going inside the house, and it cut to Bb alums Frankie Grande, Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes “breaking in” to the house once again to close the multiverse that they opened at the start of the season.
However, it took a turn and they opened a Bb Holiday Universe, where it was then announced that Big Brother Reindeer Games is coming this holiday!

‘Tis the season to expect the unexpected. “Big Brother” is launching a new holiday-themed spin-off next month called “Big Brother Reindeer Games.”
As seen on Thursday’s “Big Brother 25” finale, alums Frankie Grande, Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes broke into the house again to try to close the multiverse with the Time Laser. While they accomplished that, the house became festooned in holiday cheer because now they’ve unleashed “Reindeer Games.”
A six-episode series that will air over two weeks in December, “Reindeer Games” will feature nine “Bb” legends — including someone from Season 25 — competing in, per CBS, “the most holiday-riffic, challenging and unpredictable competitions.” They will be guided by three alums, aka Santa’s Elves, Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell and Jordan Lloyd, who essentially serve as hosts (there’s no official host). Each episode includes three competitions, culminating in Santa’s Showdown, which determines who will be eliminated at the end of the hour.

“Big Brother” is getting a holiday spin-off, “Big Brother Reindeer Games,” CBS announced during the Season 24 live finale on Thursday.
The spin-off, which will feature “icons” of the game returning for Christmas-themed competitions, launches Dec. 11 on CBS with a two-hour premiere.
The announcement came thanks to past contestants Frankie Grande, Britney Haynen and Danielle Reyes, who “break in” to the Big Brother House to close the Bb multiverse they’d inadvertently launched earlier in the season.
Houseguests will be announced at a later date, but CBS promises that one player from Season 24 will take part.
Derek Xiao and Tiffany Mitchell of Season 23 and Jordan Lloyd of Season 11 and 13 will serve as “Santa’s Elves,” guiding the “Reindeer Games” players through holiday-themed challenges.
Each episode features three competitions culminating in “Santa’s Showdown,” which determines which player goes home at the end of that episode. Only four contestants will make it...

The drones have spoken.
In anticipation of the upcoming season premieres of “Survivor 45” and “The Amazing Race 35,” CBS staged a massive event on Saturday night at Hollywood High School featuring 400 drones. Watch the sizzle reel video above. The site was chosen as it’s near the iconic Hollywood Sign, which is where the 13 “Amazing Race” teams will kick off their worldwide tour. The new seasons for both reality TV series will debut on Wednesday, September 27, with “Survivor” at 8:00 p.m. and “The Amazing Race” at 9:30 p.m.

This year, the Best Competition Program Emmy category stands out from all others in that every nominee has previously conquered it (or the special class category from which it derived). Notably absent from the lineup is surprise 2022 victor “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls,” which has yet to return for a second season after wrapping its first last March. This gives 2018-2021 winner “RuPaul’s Drag Race” a clear shot at redemption that is almost sure to pay off.
“Drag Race” is one of three series in this group that has already taken this prize at least four times, along with “The Amazing Race” and “The Voice.” Also in the mix are one-time winners “Top Chef” and “Survivor,” the latter of which has remarkably reached the end of a 16-year, 30-season snub streak.
In order to gauge the possibility of any show beating “Drag Race” here, let’s take a closer look at each nominee.

Big Brother fans have seen alliances form before, but big ones usually don’t last. Tiffany Mitchell, Kyland Young, Derek Frazier, Xavier Prather, and Azah Awasum formed The Cookout in the first week. They later included Chaddha.
They were the Black houseguests and their mission was to have the first Black winner of Big Brother. Mitchell came up with a plan for all of them to align with someone outside the alliance. This helped them keep tabs on their strategy. If someone in The Cookout were on the block, they would have the votes to evict the other person.

Big Brother has brought many iconic couples together over its 24 seasons. From “Brenchel” (Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly) to Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss (do they have a couple name?), it’s seemingly easy to find love in the Big Brother house. And the most recent couple to come out of the CBS reality competition series is Taylor Hale and Joseph Abdin, aka “Jaylor.” But in 2023, Big Brother fans are worried that Taylor and Joseph are no longer together.

During the season premiere, Big Brother 24 introduced fans to Taylor and Joseph. Taylor was a former pageant queen crowned Miss Michigan USA in 2021 and was voted Miss Congeniality during the 2021 Miss USA competition. And Joseph had graduated with a law degree and worked as a personal trainer.
At the beginning of the game, most houseguests ostracized Taylor.

The coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic shut down television productions worldwide in 2020. But whereas a handful of shows were able to return to work a few months later, it was a little more complicated for The Amazing Race. The basis of the reality competition series is to race around the world for $1 million, so with travel restrictions, The Amazing Race producers had to restructure their rules to ensure the cast and crew’s safety.

The Challenge: USA kicked off its inaugural season in July 2022, which invited CBS reality TV stars to compete as the flagship usually only includes MTV personalities. Former Big Brother houseguests, including two-time finalist Enzo Palumbo, season 20’s Angela Rummans, who won five competitions, David Alexander (BB21), and season 23’s Alyssa Lopez and Derek Xiao, as well as popular The Cookout members Kyland Young, Azah Awasum, Tiffany Mitchell, and winner Xavier Prather competed. Although the USA appeared to have potential, the season flamed out in the finals when nearly all the contestants couldn’t figure out a sudoku puzzle, causing them to quit. Regardless, it’s rumored the show will return with a second season, and these Big Brother 24 houseguests should compete.

Sadly, The Amazing Race fans have a long wait ahead of them for season 35. Following the euphoric high of Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss’s win during the finale of The Amazing Race Season 34 in December 2022, viewers were looking forward to meeting a new group of racers in the spring of 2023. Ok, maybe we’re being greedy, but we desperately want to see two seasons of The Amazing Race every year. Big Brother 23 runner-up Derek “Big D” Frazier believes his weight plays a part in why he hasn’t appeared on other competition shows, as several of his castmates recently returned to reality TV for The Challenge and The Amazing Race.
Derek Frazier thinks competition shows won’t cast him due to his weight
Several Big Brother alumni have become recurring cast members on the MTV competition series The Challenge, including Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat, Josh Martinez, Amber Borzotra, and Kaycee Clark, with the latter two winning a season. Additionally, season 20’s Angela Rummans and season 23’s Alyssa Lopez and Derek Xiao, and Cookout members Azah Awasum, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell, and winner Xavier Prather joined the first season of CBS competitive spinoff The Challenge: USA.
Shortly after casting for USA Season 2 and The Challenge 39 reportedly began in late February 2023, BB23 runner-up Derek “Big D” Frazier tweeted his belief about not getting called for the series.

The Amazing Race producers had to rethink the reality series’ entire format following the shutdown in season 33. They had to suspend production after filming three legs in February 2020 due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, and they couldn’t return until a year and a half later. The only way they could restart production was to make some changes. But after those modifications transferred over to The Amazing Race Season 34, fans were annoyed, to say the least.

One central element of The Amazing Race that producers had to cut from seasons 33 and 34 was airports. The spread of Covid-19 was still a significant issue during filming, so producers got a charter plane for both seasons to ensure the safety of their cast and crew.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and to celebrate, we’re looking back on five romances from the CBS reality competition show Big Brother. Showmances have been a part of the game since season 2 when Dr. Will Kirby first coined the term in the series. And whereas they are sometimes used for game purposes, other times, couples that meet on Big Brother carry their relationship over into the real world.

The most recent example of a Big Brother couple is Taylor Hale and Joseph Abdin, who appeared in season 24. While they didn’t get together inside the Big Brother house, the two formed a strong connection, leading to a romance after the show ended.

The coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic greatly affected The Amazing Race. The CBS reality competition series is centered around travel and experiencing new cultures. But sadly, getting on an airplane and flying overseas is more dangerous than ever these days. Producers had to alter the show’s rules to ensure the safety of their cast and crew, and there’s no doubt that the changes affected the outcome of The Amazing Race Season 34.

Starting in The Amazing Race Season 33 and continuing in season 34, the teams had to travel via a charter plane between legs. So, gone were the days of running through airports and delayed flights. The Amazing Race Season 34 came to a close with the December 7 episode, and after weeks of trekking ’round the globe, Team Big Brother won the 1 million. While Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss’ journey to victory was hard won, they tell TV Insider the run to the finish was suspiciously easy. Derek and Claire (who met on Big Brother last year and started dating shortly after) made it to the final challenge first, finding a giant keyboard upon their arrival. Derek knew how to play the piano and said in the episode that he thought that knowledge would help, but he tells us it wasn’t as much of an advantage as it may have seemed. Still, he was confident in their chances of winning because the other two pairs didn’t catch up for 20+ minutes. “I just knew how much of a learning curve there was to the challenge and...

Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss hit all the right notes — literally — on “The Amazing Race 34” finale in Nashville. After grabbing the lead at the Roadblock, the couple never relinquished it, even when when things got tight at the final memory task when Luis and Michelle, and Emily and Molly, caught up. But with their cushion and Derek’s piano skills, they hung on and crossed the finish line first, becoming the second “Big Brother” team to win “The Amazing Race.”
Find out how close the finish was and what happened during their mat chat with Phil Keoghan that you didn’t see.
