He’s spent the last 19 seasons hosting “The Bachelor” franchise, however Chris Harrison is currently navigating through life following a painful divorce. In the January 2015 issue of GQ magazine, the handsome producer is asked if he’d ever consider putting his ex-wife Gwen on a season of “The Bachelorette.”
Harrison replies, “There’s a part of me, the producer side, that knows it would be epic television, good or bad. It could be like the Hindenburg—the greatest disaster ever—but even that would be great TV.”
Chris continues, “Once I got divorced there was this knee-jerk reaction to get back in the action and date. I think there’s something wrong in that. I’m incredibly, stunningly, happy. What gave me angst was relationships.”
“I would love to say I’m the guy who sleeps around, but I’m just not. That’s not my thing. I tried. I’m not good at it.

When Bachelor host Chris Harrison and his college sweetheart, Gwen, announced their divorce in 2012, the level of schadenfreude coming from critics of the reality competition was almost sentient in its force.
Harrison, however, is all too aware of the irony of his situation – he's even able to crack jokes.
After anchoring a whopping 19 seasons of ABC's juggernaut franchise, Harrison, 43, knows that having his ex-wife as the next Bachelorette would be "epic television, good or bad," as he told GQ for their January issue, on newsstands now. Last we checked, "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison, who split from wife Gwen in May 2012, was dating Kelly Sarac. But now a new report says he has a new lady in his life -- none other than Selma Alameri, one of Sean Lowe's rejected bachelorettes.
Life & Style reports that Harrison was overheard telling his friends that Alameri is his new main squeeze.
"Chris was introducing Selma as his girlfriend. They were very cute together and not taking their hands off each other," says an eyewitness.
If you'll recall, Selma had the no-kissing rule on Sean's season of "The Bachelor," because she was raised Muslim and her mom would freak out. But she broke that rule later on to make up for not doing the Polar Bear Plunge. So.
This is not Selma's first "Bachelor" franchise hookup. She previously had a brief fling with Emily Maynard's rejected bachelor Arie Luyendyk,...

"The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison has a new bachelorette, and her name is Kelly Sarac. Though Harrison's camp has denied he's in a romantic relationship with Sarac, a series of photos tells a different story.
Life & Style published snaps of the pair canoodling, and Sarac posted a cozy pic with Chris -- both with beers in their hands -- as her Facebook profile photo in Dec. 2012.
L&S reports the couple recently embarked on a Caribbean vacation, and were putting on quite the Pda scene at the airport. "They were kissing and had their arms wrapped around each other," an eyewitness tells the mag. "Once they got through security, they made their way to the bar and picked up a couple of drinks."
Harrison split from his wife of 18 years, Gwen Harrison, in May 2012 and was quick to dash any hopes fans had of him looking for love on his own show.

Chris Harrison would have enjoyed seeing how Prince William fared as "The Bachelor."
About to be the ultimate confidant in reality television again when ABC launches the seventh season of "The Bachelorette" Monday, May 23 -- with Ashley Hebert, of the past round of "The Bachelor," doing the choosing -- Harrison says he and wife Gwen will be among the projected millions upon millions who rise early to watch the royal nuptials Friday (April 29).
Ah, what might have been, though.
"William would have been the most amazing, most dramatic 'Bachelor' ever, to borrow my own phrase," Harrison tells Zap2it. "Think how good that show would have been. We'd be shooting, and women would be climbing over fences to jump into the show in the middle of production. You'd have had 30 women, then after the first rose ceremony, you'd have had 60. We'd have gone in reverse.

What happened on the finale of "Bachelor Pad"?
Challenge
It's the "Dancing With the Stars" promotional event! The couples are ballroom dancing, each with the help of a "Dwts" pro. Elizabeth at least has the self-awareness to warn Kovacs that if he drools over their hot pro, she will go nuts on him (I may be paraphrasing).
Kiptyn/Tenley get Chelsie Hightower and the fox trot and I'm with Tenley -- Love Chelsie. Elizabeth and Kovacs get Edyta Sliwinska and the rumba -- snerk, she's hot. And of course, in his first interview he can't hardly keep his tongue in his mouth about how hot Edyta is. Dave and Natalie get Louis Van Amstel and the cha-cha.
Dave is remarkably cool about dancing with Louis to learn the steps, while Edyta is draping herself all over Kovacs and Elizabeth is trying not to light them on fire with her stare.

This week started off with a hefty helping of drama on Bachelor Pad. We had 11 contestants in the house -– seven women and four men -– and as we promised the contestants would happen, the time finally came when we had to level the playing field. In the world of Bachelor Pad, that meant saying goodbye to three women at the top of the show so that there would be an even number of men and women left. The panic that came over the girls was palpable as they all packed their bags and readied for the "spin the bottle" challenge.

Sorry this is going up so late, there were some DVR issues. But here we are with the "Bachelor Pad" recap.
Triple Elimination
If you missed the first 20 minutes, never fear -- the evening of the guys and girls was completely anticlimactic and boring. Instead of having some kind of competition between the remaining seven girls, they just let the guys pick. So even though they interviewed the guys and pretended like they were really hemming and hawing over their choice, it turned out exactly how you expected. Kiptyn picked Tenley, Kovacs picks Elizabeth, Jesse B. picked Peyton and Dave picked Natalie. Lame. The only interesting thing is now they are competing as couples.
Competition
Kovacs and Elizabeth are convinced the competition will be a how-you-know-your-partner type thing. And it turns out Kovacs knows a lot about Elizabeth and Elizabeth can't remember s*** about Kovacs. God, she is dumb. Sorry,...

Things obviously got very interesting very quickly this episode. You could hear a pin drop when I walked in and dropped the bomb on the cast that three girls would be going home immediately. Remember, I told them the first day we moved in that this moment would be coming. I’m not sure if they forgot, or just didn’t see it coming, but they were all caught by surprise.
One of the more interesting things for me in hosting a new show like Bachelor Pad is being able to keep the contestants guessing. All these people really thought...

Things got a little skanky on the latest 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8Pm Et on ABC). And by "skanky" we mean that we've reached a "rolling around and making out on the trunk of a car" level of sluttiness. It's all courtesy of Elizabeth and Kovacs, one of our four final couples on the show. (Though by the end of the night, the number of couples would be paired down to three.)
[Spoiler alert.]
Before we even reached this point, three of the "excess" ladies were booted from the show. It came as no big surprise that they were all women who hadn't "coupled up" with a dude. So, Nikki, Gwen, and Ashley were eliminated early on. That left us with four couples -- who then had to play a game of water balloon toss to see who would win some roses and a "special date."

On Monday’s Bachelor Pad, contestants had to anonymously fill out a survey with more than 50 questions about their fellow contestants, then, in a challenge, publicly reveal what they assumed the majority of the house had answered. For each correct guess, they got a point. Only seven questions made it to air, and two of them — “Who will be a bridesmaid but never a bride?” (Natalie) and “Who has the worst boob job?” (Elizabeth) — sent women sobbing throughout the house. EW asked ABC for the full results. Below, the contestants’ consensus on 43 of the questions. (Producers opted not to share some of the answers.

We got a taste of the evening up of the men and women during Monday night's (Aug. 30) previews for next week, but now we have an extended "Bachelor Pad" sneak peek where host Chris Harrison informs the group that it's time for three women to leave.
The morning after Wes and Krisily left (presumably), the houseguests are informed that the women need to pack their bags and that Chris will be back soon to eliminate three women. The girls freak out about it and it makes us wonder if they way the women are eliminated is a competition or a vote?

Hi everyone! I’ve had a lot of giggles along the way as I have watched the different challenges our Bachelor Pad contestants have endured -- like last week's kissing contest. But I must confess to you that this week’s challenge was very difficult. I had a feeling going in that the questions being asked would evoke some emotional responses. And boy, was I right. When folks were with Chris Harrison and me, they were able to keep it together pretty well. But once they got into the house, the floodgates opened up and I can’t blame them.

Bachelor Pad eliminee Krisily Kennedy has suggested that Jesse Kovacs, Elizabeth Kitt, Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke will be the final four contestants because no-one has the strength to break them up. The 30-year-old from Los Angeles was voted off alongside Wes Hayden on last night's episode of the ABC romance reality show. She had appeared to feel safe after a conversation with Dave in which he suggested that Kiptyn would be voting for Gwen and not her. However, Kiptyn eventually voted for Krisily on the basis that Gwen had not done anything wrong that would warrant her exit. "I'm just angry, I'm not going to cry," said Krisily when the result was announced. "I was told one thing and voted a certain way because of it. I laid my faith in some people tonight that clearly weren't there for me. I've been nothing but honest (more)...

Upset over Gia's elimination, Wes Hayden accused pretty much everyone else of being fake. You knew he was going to get bounced as a result, but ... Team Wes!
Honestly, this guy is the only one who understands it's a game first and a relationship show second. Not even ABC appears to realize this about its confusing program.
Then again, Wes is back in Texas gettin' nibbles on his pole, and we're sitting here recapping it while the couples vie for $250,000, so who are we to talk strategy?
Jesse Beck wins immunity in the meanest way possible.
Things got more entertaining, albeit in a very high school way, when the Pad unveiled the most ruthless challenge ever, surveying the contestants about the others.
"Who is the meanest" or the "worst liar" or has "the worst boob job" ... feelings will be hurt. Except Chris Harrison's, that is. The host-pimp does it all straight-faced.

Before we get into the tears and drama of the Pad I want to first thank you for watching our new show and making it a success. I also want to thank those of you that joined me Sunday on the Emmy red carpet on TV Guide Network. (While I’m thanking people, a quick shout out to Chris Lambton, Jesse B., and Peyton for joining me last week in North Carolina and helping raise money for cancer research and the Jimmy V foundation.) This episode started with an inside look at the fallout from last week’s elimination. Wes...

On "Bachelor Pad," Krisily gets played and the ugly truth comes out.
Post-Vote
Wes wants to have it out about how everybody is so fake and Dave gets in his face and since neither of them can string a coherent sentence together, it's a lot of "Or what?!" Heh. Before it gets to ridiculous, the Surveys of Truth arrive. It looks to be about 50 questions about the other houseguests. This should be an amazing competition. As Krisily says, "It's gonna get nasty."
The Nasty Truth
The idea is people guess who the majority of the house said. Each time you get it right, you get a point. First person to four points wins. We wish the win total was more, four points is not very much.
Anyway, question one is who is going to win? Most people guess Kiptyn and that's the right answer. Next is who is your biggest enemy?...

After eliminating Jonathan Novack (the weatherman) and Gia Allemand on last week's "Bachelor Pad," this week the action kicked off with the bachelors and bachelorettes confronting the issues that were making it difficult for them to get along. Wes Hayden and David Good went at it hot and heavy, which left both men determined to get the women to vote the other one out. Then the competitors were asked to fill out a questionnaire, which asked them to rate the others in the house. The next morning, after the votes were tallied, the bachelors and bachelorettes were put to the test and asked to guess how the majority voted. Here are some sample questions and answers: Who do most of you believe is going to win? Answer: Kipytn Locke. Who is your biggest enemy? Answer: Krisily Kennedy. Who is the most shallow? Answer: Elizabeth Kitt. Who is the dumbest? Answer: Gwen Gioia.

Swimsuit model Gia Allemand, 26, was sent packing after she couldn’t go through this week’s juicy challenge -- a kissing contest -- on Bachelor Pad, citing her devotion to a boyfriend at home. While declining to say if she’s now single, Allemand opened up to People about doing a dating show while in a relationship, her controversial vote against Craig and the chemistry with Wes. After being sent home by the women, Jonathan "Weatherman" Novack, 31, talked about all the "stupidity" in the house, kissing "seven or eight hot girls" and his top contenders for the $250,000 prize. --Melody Chiu...

"Bachelor Pad" introduced two interesting facets this week -- a Kissing Contest and Fantasy Suites.
Voting Aftermath
Gia calls Nikki out in front of the entire house for flipping from Kiptyn to Craig. Gia completely blames Nikki, which is a bit rich since if she had stuck to the rose plan and not given into Country Wes-tern, Craig would still be there and "The Outsiders" would still have the numbers.
Hope Your Shots are Current
The competition this episode is a Kissing Contest. Wow. Everybody has to kiss everybody else (the kissees are blindfolded) and then they vote on the best male and best female kissers. Hilariously, everybody thinks they're going to win -- because everybody thinks they're a good kisser. Everybody always thinks that -- and it rarely proves true.
The girls are blindfolded first and Elizabeth is creepily commenting and moaning while she gets kissed. She then...

We can't believe Bachelor Pad exists, that we watched it, or that we are doing reviews of it here at TV Fanatic. But this is kind of what we do. So here goes nothing.
If anarchy, oversexed singles and a hybrid of Big Brother and The Bachelor appeals to you, this show probably seems awesome. But both are better individually.
It's just not that compelling to watch heavy petting between Jesse Beck and Natalie, or the trumped up conflict between "insiders" and "outsiders." We're just over it.
Don't get us wrong. We'll be there when The Bachelor returns. It's just that watching Bachelor rejects compete in a pie-eating contest is not must-see TV. That's all.
Weatherman Jonathan has a moment he will cherish forever.
Gia and Weatherman Jonathan ended up winning said contest. Both made it a strategy to pick people who weren't already in pairs. Gia even gave a...

On the second episode of "Bachelor Pad," we find "The Outsiders" alliance compelling -- but just when Gia has our respect, she screws it up by falling for the "Love, It Don't Come Easy" guy.
Crazypants and Kovacs
Now that Michelle is gone, Elizabeth shall hitherto be known as "Crazypants." Anyway, Crazypants gets her way because Kovacs realizes he's better off with a partner (or he realizes that if he rebuffs her, she will stab him in his sleep poison the women against him) and decides to be with Cp.
She's my cherry pie ...
Oh, this show ... too many jokes. So the competition is pie-eating. Tenley told us earlier that we "may want to close our eyes" on this one -- and she was not lying. This is not sexy. This is disgusting. Tenley, to her credit since she seems like a Disney princess, does puke and rally, which is hardcore.

There was a lot of plotting and scheming going on before the first challenge on the second episode of "Bachelor Pad" on Monday night. The women already saw themselves as the "inside girls" vs. the "outside girls" and were taking measures to strengthen their alliances. "I am a little concerned coming into the house with a boyfriend," Gia (from "The Bachelor" Jake's season and one of the outside girls) said. "I think the guys are going to get rid of me." The first challenge was a pie-eating contest. The prize was a rose, which meant safety from elimination, plus, the chance for a romantic date. Even though Krisily (Charlie's season) might be in jeopardy of going home, she told host Chris Harrison that she couldn't compete because she had had her gall bladder removed and eating a whole pie wasn't an option. She felt her health was more important...

"Everybody wants to be an artist," says 'Bachelor Pad' co-host Melissa Rycroft. But on this new, fairly skanky reality show, "art" takes the form of rolling around in paint, while wearing bikinis ... and a Speedo.
Here's what goes down on the latest episode (Mon., 8Pm Et on ABC). "Weatherman" (and former 'Bachelorette' contestant) Jon Novack wins a date with three of the ladies in the house. These women are: Gwen, Peyton, and Ashley.
Melissa then announces that this date will be "artistic." What artistic means in practice is body painting. And so, Jon and his dates romp around in skimpy swimwear, while splashing paint on each other.

The first-ever season of Bachelor Pad kicked off on ABC last night as 19 of the most memorable former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants arrived at the mansion. Chris Harrison - who co-hosts alongside Melissa Rycroft - explains that they will be competing for the second chance to find love and win $$250,000. Tenley (Jake's season) is first to arrive, and says she feels like it's time for a new beginning. She is followed by Jesse B (Ali's season) and Natalie (Jason's season), who express a mutual interest in each other. Next up is David (Jillian's season), Gwen (Aaron's season) and Jessie (Jake's season). They are followed by Jonathan (Ali's season) - who doesn't want to see Craig M - and Nikki (Jason's season), who doesn't want to see Juan because they dated briefly. Unfortunately, he is next to arrive and seems (more)...

Bachelor Pad has an interesting premise. Houseguests with larger-than-life personalities living together, competing in various challenges, and ultimately voting each other out.
The problem? We already watch Big Brother.
With a few exceptions, the 19 male and female losers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette recycled to star on Bachelor Pad were cut loose for a reason - they weren't appealing.
We've seen them plot, flirt and cry, cause (mostly contrived) drama and hook up - on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, this was entertaining. Here it's just a waste of time.
Do we really care if Jesse Kovacs hooked up with Elizabeth Kitt? They're rehashing old drama no one saw or cares about. Then again, at least we recall who those people are.
The other Jesse that Ali Fedotowsky cut loose? Who was that guy?

The roses are red, but contestants on 'Bachelor Pad' are going after the green. The last bachelor or bachelorette standing walks away with $250,000 and maybe their soul mate. Only time will tell who prioritizes money or love, or if the two can work in tandem. Tenley, the runner-up from Jake Pavelka's season of "The Bachelor," was first to arrive at the house. She was followed by 18 other previous contestants from seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." Lovelorn men and women were reunited, new friends and enemies were made, and alliances were formed. Some participants came into the house with a somewhat ongoing relationship with one another. Kiptyn and Tenley went out to dinner a few times. Elizabeth K. professed her love for Jesse K., but he didn’t return the emotional bond. She pulled him aside to give him an ultimatum that he should treat her...

I’m glad I get the opportunity to continue blogging this summer. This gives me a chance to continue giving you updates on Ali and Roberto and our next Bachelor season. Speaking of which, we held a Bachelorette wrap party/Bachelor Pad premiere party last Monday night. Ali and Roberto were there, and we all watched the proposal together. It was really cool, as the entire crew was dead silent, and Ali was crying watching Roberto get down on one knee. The moment it was over, we all broke out into cheers and hugs. Very cool moment for us all.

'Bachelor Pad' (8Pm, ABC) series premiere
Lest there be a 'Bachelor'/'Bachelorette'-less period in the primetime lineup (after last week's 'Bachelorette' season finale), ABC is bringing back 19 former looking-for-love contestants and putting them together in the titular 'Bachelor' mansion, where they'll compete against in each other in a series of challenges for a shot at winning $250,000. Among the familiar faces: Ali Fedotowsky cast-offs Craig M., Jesse B. and weatherman Jonathan; Jake Pavelka reject Ashley E. (who surprised Jake by showing up in a flight attendant uniform); Pavelka rejects Elizabeth K., model Gia and spazz dancer Tenley; Aaron Burge bachelorette Gwen G.; Jillian Harris runner-up Kiptyn; and notorious 'Bachelorette' contestant Wes H., the one who admitted only going on the show to find fame. 'Bachelor' host Chris Harrison and 'Bachelor' alum Melissa Rycroft host the action, which, tonight, kicks off with a spirited game of Twister.

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette cast rejects are getting another shot at love. Or at least $250,000 in a ridiculous new reality TV competition, Bachelor Pad.
A group of cast members from seasons past will be living in that mansion once again, angling for that huge cash prize via team and individual competitions.
No, you're not being punked. This is seriously happening.
The ranks are stacked with those who sought the affections of Ali Fedotowsky, Jake Pavelka and Jillian Harris in the franchise's three most recent installments.
Wes, Kiptyn, Tenley, Gia, Crazy Dave (below), Crazy Michelle and more lead the way, with some older faces thrown in there as well to give us 19 in all.
So many others, too. Below is the list of competitors (and for the scoop on the rest of the current season, be sure to check out these Bachelorette spoilers)...
