Last month, we gave you the first look at "Female Force: Ellen DeGeneres," the latest in Bluewater Productions' line of comic-book biographies of famous women. Back then, we only had unlettered, black-and-white pages from the comic, but now we have an exclusive, finished preview of the issue hitting shelves in March.
The comic promises to follow the entertainer "from her youth in Louisiana, through the endless smoke-filled comedy club circuit, to her breakthrough sitcom and finally as an Emmy-winning daytime talk show host." Written by Sandra C. Ruckdeschel with art by Pedro Ponzo, "Female Force: Ellen DeGeneres" will feature many of the touchstone moments from her career — including her recent addition to the "American Idol" judging panel.
The publisher has also informed MTV News that a portion of the proceeds from the comic will be donated to The Humane Society in DeGeneres' name.

After being on the cover of O Magazine, there's only one next natural step for Ellen. Essence, as she joked with Steve Harvey on her show yesterday? Maybe someday. But, even sooner — as in early next year — the "world's most famous lesbian" will have her own comic book.
Bluewater Productions' Female Force line of biography comics has already featured Michelle Obama, Oprah, J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer. And now, Female Force: Ellen Degeneres will hit the shelves in March. (So long Buffy comics? Nah, it's only one extra special gay issue.)
Written by Sandra C. Ruckdeschel with art by Pedro Ponzo, the Ellen bio-com will follow the new American Idol judge from her Louisiana childhood to her stand-up days in the comedy clubs, her sitcom, coming out (and the subsequent cancellation of the sitcom) to her current multi-Emmy-winning talk show and enormous mainstream success, and of course, her marriage to Portia de Rossi.

Comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is to enter the comic book world.
The 51-year-old, who is now also a judge on American Idol, will be part of the Female Force series published by Bluewater Productions.
The series tells the life stories of influential women in comic book format, with previous issues focusing on Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin, Oprah Winfrey, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and Princess Diana.
Bluewater president Darren Davis said: "Ellen DeGeneres is taking the world by storm - Emmy awards, endless accolades, it all seems so easy. But Ellen's journey to get where she is now was not always a smooth one. She's felt the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. But through it all, she managed to stay true to herself and prove that she is a female force to be reckoned with."
