For the past 13 years it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family, said Selleck, who portrays Reagan family patriarch and commissioner, Frank Reagan. Tom Selleck’s Optimism Despite the announcement of Blue Bloods‘ conclusion with its 14th season, Tom Selleck remains optimistic about the show’s future. In a recent interview, Selleck remarked, CBS will tell you it’s ending. I think they’re going to come to their senses. I certainly wish they would.

From 2010 to now, Blue Bloods has entertained viewers with its epic police drama storyline on CBS. Featuring the lives of the Reagan family, all members of law enforcement, the series stars Tom Selleck in the lead. Although the ratings of the show have somewhat plummeted in the last few years with each subsequent season, Blue Bloods is still among the top shows of all time.

"73 Yards" is the strongest episode of the new "Doctor Who" season so far, which is surprising considering it's the first one that barely features the Doctor at all. Showrunner and episode-writer Russell T Davies has taken a cue from season 4's Doctor-lite episode "Turn Left," taking us through years of the companion's life without the Doctor around to help her out. The results are terrifying: as soon as the Doctor's gone, Ruby finds herself followed by a mysterious old woman. The woman magically stays exactly 73 yards away from Ruby at all times, and whenever Ruby sends someone else to talk with her, they freak out and suddenly want nothing to do with her.
It's a mysterious premise that puts Ruby through the wringer like we've never seen before. First, she has to spend a few nights alone at an inn filled with the world's rudest patrons. Then she goes...

The trailer for Reagan features Dennis Quaid as Ronald Reagan and his journey from childhood to the White House.
The new footage from the Sean McNamara-directed biopic on the 40th President of the United States was released on Thursday.
“From dusty small-town roots, to the glitter of Hollywood, and then on to commanding the world stage, Reagan is a cinematic journey of overcoming the odds,” the film’s synopsis reads. “Told through the voice of Viktor Petrovich, a former Kgb agent who followed Reagan’s ascent, Reagan captures the indomitable spirit of the American dream.”
Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, the trailer kicks off with Quaid, who portrays Reagan as an older man, saying, “There’s nothing a retired governor can do but a president, now he can do a thing or two.”

Well, the first trailer for Dennis Quaid’s Ronald Reagan biopic has debuted. The actor plays the 40th President of the United States in the feature, which promises to span the major events of Reagan’s life, including his confrontation with childhood bullies, his acting career and time leading the Screen Actors Guild and his ascendant rise in politics bolstered by anti-communist rhetoric. Set to a cover of Tears for Fears’ ’80s hit “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” the trailer tracks how Reagan wanted to rule the free world — and did.
“I was a lifeguard on a river. And I learned how to read the currents — not just the ones on the surface, but also the ones deep underneath the water,” President Reagan says in the trailer, drawing a comparison to his own eye for geopolitical tensions. The footage also teases more well-known moments from the conservative President’s tenure,...

"There's nothing a retired governor can do about the Soviets..." ShowBiz Direct has revealed a trailer for a movie called Reagan, a brand new biopic about the 40th President of the United States of America. This will open in theaters at the end of August this summer. Actor Dennis Quaid stars as Ron, who worked as an actor before getting into politics. "I've always been told bits and pieces of the stories of Ronald Reagan's life, but this movie puts the whole story together. I've played quite a few real people over the years, and I like to play them from their point of view, without judgment. It was a big challenge for me to get behind the public persona of the man and also to move beyond my own feelings of admiration for him." Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, the film was shot in Oklahoma...

When is the Blue Bloods series finale? That’s a question on Blue Bloods fans’ minds as the summer hiatus begins.
Season 14 is the final season of the hit CBS cop drama.
Although Blue Bloods fans are doing everything they can to have the show continue.
The cast, too, has been vocal about wanting more Blue Bloods, especially Tom Selleck, who recently admitted he strongly feels CBS will change their minds.
However, CBS has all but said the show won’t be getting a second lease on life like S.W.A.T. did.
In preparation for Blue Bloods ending soon, let’s review what we know about the series finale.

Blue Bloods isn't quite done yet.
CBS' beloved police/family drama still has eight episodes left that will air in the fall, though they've wrapped up the first part of their final season and will soon be finished filming the series finale, which will air in December 2024.
CBS gets a big, fat F for this cancelation news, but let's put that aside and look at what worked and what didn't during the first part of Blue Bloods Season 14.
Before we jump into it, let's clear up some confusion. CBS is calling those final eight episodes the second part of Season 14 even though they Also called Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 10 the season finale.
Tom Selleck recently stated that those eight episodes are really Season 15, and it's hard to blame him for saying so, even though it caused more confusion. These episodes are airing in the fall, traditionally the start of the new season,...

To clear any confusion up front, The Apprentice has nothing to do with the NBC reality competition of that name, in which Donald Trump sifted through a field of aspiring businesspeople to identify the most promising of them, sending an eliminated contestant home each week with the brutal dismissal, “You’re fired!” On the other hand, you could say that Ali Abbasi’s biographical drama has everything to do with the television series.

When it was released in January of 2001, Richard Kelly's bleak time-travel psychological drama "Donnie Darko" caused a notable stir. The title character, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, is a teen struggling with schizophrenia in 1988, a time when Reagan's great Conservative revolution was drawing to a close and adults clung to suburban conformity as it crumbled under them. Donnie is obsessed with time-travel and regularly hallucinates a vicious, strange anthropomorphic rabbit monster named Frank (all while attempting to socialize at school and foster a romance with a classmate played by Jena Malone). Patrick Swayze appears as a cheesy self-self guru, Drew Barrymore plays one of Donnie's teachers, and Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Donnie's sister.
By turns psychedelic and weirdly moving (in a Goth sort of way), "Donnie Darko" quickly became a cult hit and rotated directly into the local midnight movie circuit, attracting a wide swath of misfits and night people.

Fans of Barron Trump are disappointed that they won’t get to see the teen at the July 2024 Republican National Convention.
Last week it was announced that the 18-year old only child of former Potus Donald Trump and former supermodel Melania Trump would have a key role in his father’s presidential nomination process.
But hours later those plans were dashed when Melina put the kibosh on her son’s participation. Her office issued a terse statement saying that Barron would be unable to attend due to prior commitments.
Barron Trump – Won’t Join His Siblings At RNC In July
Many felt that Barron’s presence at the convention would serve as his official foray into the political realm.
But then the Daily Mail announced that Barron would be absent (at least as a delegate) due to “prior commitments.” Barron himself has not spoken about the drastic change in plans.

Sylvester Stallone, renowned for his portrayal of Rocky Balboa, has been in the public eye not only for his cinematic achievements but also for the challenging chapters of his personal life. Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Blue Bloods Season 14 midseason finale, which is the close of the first part of the NYPD family drama’s final season.
“Father, forgive me for I have sinned,” says New York Police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) in church in tonight’s Blue Bloods last midseason finale as he tries to repair a rift with his actual father, the former NYPD commissioner Henry Reagan (Len Cariou).
It ain’t the Sunday dinner that defines the well-watched CBS series, but it certainly was a moment of affirmation for perspicacious fans who may be speculating where their show is going to go in its final episodes after a long long run. Put another way, Blue Bloods may be ending later this year, but you’d never know it from the Season 14 midseason finale that aired tonight.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Blue Bloods Season 14 Part 1 finale, “The Heart of a Saturday Night.”] Blue Bloods ended its Season 14 midseason finale on its usual positive note at the weekly Reagan family dinner. With Season 14 Part 1 now in the rearview mirror, showrunner Kevin Wade is giving a glimpse into what to expect in the final episodes set to premiere this fall on CBS, and he doesn’t think it’s likely that they’ll make Tom Selleck‘s Frank Reagan retire from his position as police commissioner. Some characters this season, like the mayor, have hinted at a desire for a new commissioner, raising questions about whether Frank is going to stay in the job that defines his life. Even when he has difficult days like in Season 14 Episode 10, which showed Frank and his father (Len Cariou) at uncomfortable odds over a deceased cop’s use of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, Frank doesn’t...

The good news is that Blue Bloods is all set for an exciting season midseason finale.
CBS is billing the eight episodes airing in the fall as the second half of Season 14, though Tom Selleck said in an interview that he considers them a shortened Season 15 that he hopes will be extended til May, and promos are calling this the season finale.
Either way, this final episode before the summer hiatus promises the action, heart, and family drama that keeps viewers coming back year after year. But will the knowledge that there are only eight episodes left ruin the experience?
The last few episodes leading up to the end of a series are always bittersweet. The higher the quality, the harder it is to accept that the series is almost over.
That's especially true for Blue Bloods, which has a passionate fanbase that is angry about the cancelation.

“As Vladimir Putin continues his gritty reboot of the Soviet Union, he’s getting a surprising amount of help from the party once led by Reagan,” the program’s synopsis explains. “Jordan Klepper speaks to foreign affairs experts, possible Russian assets, and probably Russian recording devices to find out whether Republicans have become the Kremlin’s useful idiots.”
One of those guests will be former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton, who is shown sitting down with Klepper in a trailer for the special.

In interviews Tom Selleck has repeatedly said that despite the fact that he was a movie fan, he never dreamed of becoming an actor. It is known that in his teenage years the future actor devoted himself entirely to sports – basketball and athletics.
Tom Selleck Couldn't Even Dream of Becoming an Actor
Tom went to Los Angeles Valley College to live with his family and not spend extra money. During his junior year, Selleck transferred to the University of Southern California on a basketball scholarship.
One of his teachers advised him to try his hand at acting, so Tom dropped out of college his senior year and threw himself into studying the basics of acting. At the time, he was also working as a model, which is how he got noticed.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 9, “Two of a Kind.”] Blue Bloods is one episode away from its Season 14 midseason finale, and the Friday, May 10, episode opted to end on a happy note with the Reagan family ahead of its upcoming break. The main plot of the episode focused on Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) son, Sean (Andrew Terraciano), who was robbed on his college campus. Danny was shocked to find out about the burglary (the assailant stole Sean’s backpack containing his wallet and laptop) at work instead of directly from his son. Sean was scared to admit that the guy got away instead of fending him off himself like his family of cops might. Naturally, Danny wanted his son protected, so he reminded him that stolen items are better than personal injury — or worse. Sean wanted to be a hero like his family members. When he witnessed a classmate being attacked...

September 2024 will mark 14 full years since Blue Bloods premiered on CBS, so long that it's hard to imagine television without the show. However, much to the shock of fans and cast alike, CBS has not renewed the show for at least one more season.
It was known that the end of the Reagan story was imminent when the cast and crew agreed to take pay cuts for the sake of a Season 14 renewal but given the network's recent decision to reverse its cancellation of S.W.A.T., the determination to end Blue Bloods as soon as possible is causing no small amount of regret and resentment.
But alas, all things must come to an end, and despite our pleas, the police family drama is coming to an end, and so we must morally prepare ourselves for it. Fortunately, we still have time, because there are ten episodes ahead of us, two of...

It's always hard to say goodbye to shows that have been with us for over a decade. We literally become friends with the characters and love them as if they were family.
That's why it hit so hard when CBS announced that one of the longest-running police procedurals would be canceled after 14 years on the air.
Of course we are talking about Blue Bloods, a legendary show that premiered in 2010 and made the viewers fall in love with it. At the center of the story is the Reagan family with Tom Selleck’s Frank, the police commissioner of New York, being the head of it.
“My mother will probably sell the tv now. First Criminal Minds now this. The cancellation of an action packed formulated procedural dramas like this is a bridge too far. Not enough NCIS, FBI and Chicago to fill that void,” Redditor VeryLowIQIndividual said.

Is Jamie about to ruin his career?
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 9 spoilers have him on the hotseat with Frank after a public fistfight with Joe Hill.
Both these guys should know better, but Jamie has more to lose, and neither one should be happy to land in Frank's office over something like this.
There has never been much love lost between Jaime and Joe, but Jamie is not usually the stereotypical macho cop who settles everything with his fists.
Still, Joe's pissed him off pretty badly in the past, and in a weird way, the guys beating each other up signals that Jamie sees Joe as a family -- he's treating his nephew like an annoying little brother.
Jamie Has a Lot To Lose
Jamie's been rising through the ranks since he reversed course about becoming a sergeant. He runs patrols and works in the Field Intelligence Office now.

We are still dealing with the incredibly disappointing news that CBS has decided to cancel Blue Bloods for Season 14. Add to that the fact that the network has renewed another police procedural, S.W.A.T., after already announcing its cancellation, and the move seems completely unfair.
But unfortunately, the CBS execs are not even influenced by the pleas and demands of the cast and crew, as well as the viewers themselves, whose petition to save the show on Change.org has already gathered over 17,000 signatures.
Nevertheless, all this shows how much the audience's interest in the show has not waned, almost 14 years after its debut in 2010. But we should prepare ourselves for the fact that the story of the Irish Catholic Reagan family, long involved in law enforcement in New York City, will come to an end this December.
The main appeal of Blue Bloods is far from police investigations and ethical debates.

For the better part of the last decade and more, Blue Bloods has been enticing viewers with its engaging storyline and characters who come from a multi-generational family of cops. Focusing on the lives of the Reagan family, each character has their own unique strength and weakness to face as they battle the challenges associated with being a police officer, giving the drama an added edge over the plethora of other police-based TV shows.

Tom Selleck hopes CBS reverses its decision to cancel Blue Bloods and that viewers will be able to continue watching the series beyond its 14 seasons.

All the cast wants to come back. And I can tell you this: we aren’t sliding off down a cliff. We’re doing good shows, and still holding our place. So, I don’t know. You tell me!”
Selleck has starred in the CBS procedural since the show’s premiere in 2010, portraying Commissioner Frank Reagan.

"Star Trek: Voyager" entered its early stages of production in 1993. Meanwhile, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" was filming its seventh and final season, and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" was working on its second. 1993 was an optimistic time in the U.S. The Gulf War had wrapped, Bill Clinton had been elected president, and the economy was booming. Yes, there were certainly still massive problems with the country, but for a brief span, it felt like the nation was at peace.
Of course, one only needs to look at the pop media of the 1990s to see how much angst there still was in the lurking in hearts of the people. '90s pop music often described the injustices of a racist police state, or how much people felt marginalized and dismissed. '90s media was also self-reflexive, pointing out that the old-world tropes and genres no longer worked. Deconstruction was necessary.

If you watch enough procedural dramas, you might believe that every partnership leads to romance. It happened to Richard Castle and Kate Beckett on Castle, Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan on Bones, and even Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon on The Mentalist. A slow-burning romance always makes for a good storyline.
CBS' Blue Bloods, which is now leading viewers to say goodbye to the Reagan family and everyone close to them, is no exception. Jamie Reagan and his wife, Eddie Janko, started out as business partners and ended up as a family. As good as their story was, fans don't want to see a rip-off.

One thing that eventually kills any procedural that has been on the air for too long is constant repetition. By the time the writers reach a certain point, they feel like they have told every story in the...

In 1994, producer Mike Lazzo donned a pith helmet, filled his arms with machetes, and trekked into the darkest corners of the bleak, terrifying Hanna-Barbera cartoon library. Like most of Hanna-Barbera's output, "Space Ghost" was strange and awful. 20 years later, reruns of shows like "Space Ghost" were increasingly enjoyed exclusively by college students under the influence of potent smokables. One would be...

Tom Selleck may have warned CBS earlier this year that there are an “awful lot of people” who aren’t ready to say goodbye to Blue Bloods, but there are no plans to extend the police procedural beyond its 14th and final season.
During a press conference Thursday to discuss the fall schedule, Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach conceded that while they will miss the series at CBS, the drama will still wrap after the second half airs this fall.
The first half of Blue Bloods‘ 14th season kicked off February 16. The second half of the season will return in October.

There is a family that has been in the police force for three generations. The grandfather is a former commissioner, the father is the current one, the eldest son is already a detective, the only daughter in the family is the only exception and works as a lawyer. And the youngest son has just joined the police force after graduating from the academy.
Thus begins the plot of Blue Bloods, perhaps the most important police drama of the decade. The show is firmly tied to the members of the Reagan family, who seem to be involved in every crime in New York. But Blue Bloods isn't just popular for its Reagan family members – there are many other beloved characters, including Abigail Baker.

Here we go again.
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 8 spoilers promise danger for Danny and Baez, thanks to an old enemy.
This will likely bring on the suspense, but will it also finally push their relationship over the line from friendship to something else?
Baez and Danny's relationship has divided the fandom. People either ship them or hate the idea of anything but a close friendship and work partnership.
Still, with Blue Bloods getting close to its midseason finale (the rest of the final season will air in the fall), the evolution of this relationship would get fans talking!

According to spoilers, serial killer Sam Evans gets out of prison early. Evans targeted Baez and her daughter on Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 20, seeking revenge because Baez had put him away 20 years earlier.
It seems unrealistic that he'd be released from prison only a year later. His case should first be going...

Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will be 2024’s Cod title and will release later in the year. Although we are yet to see any footage or even official stills from the upcoming Fps, we already know which war Treyarch is throwing players into. This has been common knowledge amongst the fan community for a while now thanks to multiple sources familiar with Activision’s plans corroborating the info.
For those who may not be aware, the Gulf War began in 1990 before ending just a year later in 1991 and consisted of two phases: Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. These operations, along with the decision to go to war itself, were spearheaded by the US, whom established a 42-country coalition to assist in the aforementioned large scale military operations. This is where things get murky.
Will Black Ops Gulf War Commit to Showing the Shady, Manipulative Tactics of the US Government?...

From how often (read: all the time) Danny, Erin, and Jamie’s cases intersect, you’d guess that apart from the Reagans, there aren’t any other law enforcement professionals in the entirety of New York City. If there’s a case, it just goes straight to the Reagans — and we’re not even talking about another problem that implies… Yet.
9. Conflict of Interests Legally Doesn’t Exist
Building upon the previous point… Erin and Jack are always opposing each other in court despite being ex-wife and husband. Danny barges into Erin’s office pleading with her to give him a warrant despite their being siblings. Blue Bloods once looked at the concept of “conflict of interests” and threw it away because it was plain boring.
8. Everyone Is the Flash & Time Doesn’t Exist
In Blue Bloods, time is another useless concept: it...
