Capcom’s Action RPG title, Dragon’s Dogma 2 released after a lot of anticipation and the single-player game opened to impressive reviews. The first game had come out almost 12 years back so this was a long time coming and fans have been waiting for this since the announcement last year.
Now that the game is out, one little detail about Capcom’s title has caused fans to question the tactics used by the developers. Fans have rarely welcomed the idea of having microtransactions in single-player titles so when one was discovered in Dragon’s Dogma 2, fans were left puzzled about it with some of them calling out the pay-to-win format.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Has a Get Out of Jail Key for $0.99
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a $0.99 Makeshift Gaol Key and fans are split between whether or not it’s necessary.

If Olivia Benson's learned one thing during her 25 years working for the Special Victims Unit, it's that there's always some disturbing new low perps will hit.
Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 6 featured another group of perps targeting tourists -- and the entitled college boy trope has been done to death too.
Yet this story felt fresh and compelling despite how bizarre the whole thing was.
On the surface, this one fell firmly into the 'too bizarre to believe' camp.
As the cops pointed out several times, these guys drove five hours to find girls to have one-night stands with -- and that was only the beginning of their misconduct.
They had a needlessly complex competition in which they used pins to keep track of who slept with girls from what countries and stolen DNA samples to prove they weren't randomly placing pins without doing the deed.
I guess this is...

Maura Delpero’s second feature “Vermiglio, the Mountain Bride” – which is being presented at the Venice Production Bridge, the industry program of the Venice Film Festival, this week – has tapped Giuseppe De Domenico as its lead.
The Italian actor, known for “Zero Zero Zero” and Prime Video’s “Bang Bang Baby,” will play Pietro, a young soldier who in 1944 arrives in a small mountain village in Trentino, northern Italy.
As declared by the film’s tagline, change is around the corner: “Last year of World War II. In the Italian Alps, a single rifle shot ends a young woman’s innocence.”
“Maura saw many young actors and some of them were very good, but Giuseppe was able to stand out thanks to his subtle acting style. He understood what it meant to come back from a war,” says Francesca Andreoli, who produces for Italy’s Cinedora.

“A Transparent Musical” is heading to New York and Broadway. The show, the first stage play from Amazon Studios, premiered in Los Angeles at the Mark Taper Forum in May — becoming the last show at the Taper for now, as Center Theater Group has canceled all shows at the stage following the close of “A Transparent Musical” on June 25.
But whereas the Mark Taper is on hold, “A Transparent Musical” has big things in store. According to Amazon, the show’s producers “intend to bring the show to Broadway sometime in 2024.” The musical, or course, is based on Amazon Prime Video’s Emmy-winning series “Transparent,” created by Joey Soloway, who also wrote the book to the stage musical with Mj Kaufman. Faith Soloway wrote the music and lyrics to “A Transparent Musical.”
Joining them is Tony-winning producer Eva Price, whose play “What the Constitution Means to Me” (by Heidi Schreck...

Peppermint wants back on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” She famously was runner-up in Season 9 when Sasha Velour took the crown after her iconic rose petal-filled finale lip sync.
“I would love to go on ‘All Stars,’” Peppermint tells me on this week’s episode of the “Just for Variety” podcast. She was asked to compete in 2018 but was already booked for the Go-Go’s Broadway musical, “Head Over Heels.” “I will happily go onto the show if they invite me,” Peppermint says. “It is quite expensive and quite an investment, but I do think it could be worth it.”
Peppermint will next be seen in “A Transparent Musical,” opening May 23 at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. She plays Davina, a role originated on the “Transparent” television series by Alexandra Billings. Peppermint recalls having “two-person watch parties” with her music producer when the series first premiered on Amazon in 2014.

[Editor’s Note: The following interview contains spoilers for “1899″ Season 1.]
There’s a point in the first episode of “1899” when two characters are introduced in a very particular way. As the boarding party from the giant steamship Kerberos returns back to deck with news from the nearby, abandoned Prometheus, they carry a young boy (Fflyn Edwards) with them. Meanwhile, closer to the ship’s hold, a mysterious figure Daniel (Aneurin Barnard) climbs on board, soaked wet from his own journey to get there.
For anyone who’s seen writer Jantje Friese and director Baran bo Odar’s previous series “Dark,” it might as well be a neon sign. And Friese and bo Odar know exactly how they’re using it.
“There are a lot of people who watched ‘Dark’ who are used to the way that we code things and how we hide things. We had lots of readers on the scripts already saying, ‘Okay, so Daniel is actually The Boy.
