Wednesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent sent five more acts through to the Season 15 semifinals, crushing a handful of dreams in the process.
Let’s start with the good news: Voices of Our City Choir, Bad Salsa and Daneliya Tuleshova were all voted through by the viewers at home. Congratulations are also in order for Spyros Brothers, the winner of this week’s Dunkin’ Save, as well as Jonathan Goodwin. When he and fellow in-danger act Alexis Brownley received the same number of judges’ votes, it came down to America’s votes, which sent Goodwin through.

“Agt” ain’t Vine, but Vincent Marcus is doing his damndest to stretch that six seconds of fame into a career. So far he’s at about “15-minutes-of-fame” status with these two-minute acts on ‘America’s Got Talent.”
On Tuesday’s episode, Marcus performed “Voice Impressions of Your Favorite Rappers” — so long as your favorite rappers are Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent. Lil Nas X, DaBaby and Eminem.
Some were better than others. The beats and pyro helped — the nursery rhymes probably did not.

For the past week, “America’s Got Talent” viewers have been making their predictions for which acts from the August 18 Quarterfinals will advance to the next round, and which ones will be eliminated. Five will make it through during Wednesday’s results show based on a mix of America’s overnight votes, the Dunkin’ Save the the judges’ pick. That means six acts are about to have their dreams shattered on NBC’s reality TV show.

Based on our readers’ odds, things are looking good for these five acts: dance duo Bad Salsa, teen singer Daneliya Tuleshova, child singer Kelvin Dukes, diabolo duo Spyros Brothers and Terry Crews‘ Golden Buzzer, Voices of our City Choir.
That means the other six acts are in danger of going home, according to our users’ elimination predictions.

Eleven more acts returned to the America’s Got Talent stage on Tuesday for another round of (mostly) live performances. But will the voters be as easy to win over as super-soft guest judge Kenan Thompson?
“First of all, thank you all for having me here,” Thompson, the second celeb to step in for an injured Simon Cowell, said atop the two-hour broadcast. “This is incredible. The only thing I can say is just seize the moment. If you have nerves, turn those nerves into superpowers. Go out there and take it!”

The Judge Cuts round of “America’s Got Talent” season 15 began on July 28 with another two-hour episode that saw the series doing things a little bit different in order to keep the crew and talent socially distant from one another. In this phase of “Agt,” judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara convened on an outdoor set for a drive-in movie themed viewing of the acts filmed from home.
Absent from the Judge Cuts are the five acts that advanced from the auditions round straight to the live shows for receiving a Golden Buzzer from one of the judges or host Terry Crews. Those were Voices of Our City Choir (Terry’s pick), singer Roberta Battaglia (Sofia’s pick), singer Cristina Rae (Heidi’s pick), dance group Waffle Crew (Simon’s pick) and spoke word artist Brandon Leake (Howie’s pick).
Below, follow along as we recap all...

And then there were… fewer. Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent reunited the judges (in person!) to crush a few more dreams and reveal which acts will be proceeding to the Season 15 live episodes.
As is the case with all difficult Agt decisions, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara were at each other’s throats from the jump, with several judges bringing up valid arguments like “You don’t know what it’s like to swallow a sword” and “Nein! Nein! Nein!” It was utter chaos.

If you’re a longtime fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, then it stands to reason that you’d be pretty excited about two new movies being in development to continue Disney’s swashbuckling adventures. However, despite one project hailing from series veteran Terry Rossio and the creator of the acclaimed Chernobyl, and the other being spearheaded by Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson and star Margot Robbie, reaction has been a little on the tepid side.
Of course, this is all down to the status of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow, the marquee name and main selling point of all five installments to date. Fans were furious when it was originally announced that Disney were dropping him from the sixth movie, and even though there’s been no shortage of speculation since then that he might be involved in some capacity, even with two new Pirates of the Caribbean...

America’s Got Talent welcomed Sofia Vergara to the judges’ panel on Tuesday with a parade of vomiting sock puppets, giant pigs pushing smaller pigs in baby carriages, and a family determined to prove that “roller skating still exists.” Towards the end of the two-hour season premiere, the once optimistic actress confessed, “I don’t have much hope.” So, thanks a lot, America — you broke Sofia Vergara.
(Side note: I would actually like to call shenanigans on the vomiting sock puppet act. Not only was that a wildly inventive performance, but it was also hysterical. Arguably the greatest sock-related act since Lamb Chop.
