You know how tough Josh Koscheck is?? He tried to eat a steak last night ... without his two front teeth!! The Ufc superstar was leaving Boa Steakhouse ... looking a little more Michael Strahan-ish in the mouth region than usual -- so we had to ask, what's up with your grill?! Don't worry, Josh always carries backups ... and popped in a couple of Fake Teeth to fill in the gaps during our conversation (we asked about retirement,...

A bit of breaking news late this afternoon in the Mma world: England’s Paul Daley is returning to Bellator!
As announced during an appearance on the Mma Hours with Ariel Helwani, English fighter and former Ufc combatant Paul Daley is returning to a major North American promotion – only it’s not the Ufc. Instead, “Semtex” has re-signed with Bellator, the number two Mma promotion in the USA. This comes hot on the heels of an (apparently failed) campaign to return to the Ufc after his prior release for sucker-punching Josh Koscheck after the end of their three round bout at Ufc 113.
This also follows Daley’s release from his previous Bellator run, which had come due to ongoing legal troubles with the fighter involving charges stemming from a bar fight.
It seems that those charges have been cleared up, and all is forgiven. Daley acknowledged the issues in the interview,...

After his run with the Ufc, Paul Daley was blasted by almost everyone surrounding the sport for the way he reacted after his loss to Josh Koscheck at Ufc 113 back in 2010. As we all know by know, Daley punched Koscheck after the bell in one of the most shocking moments of the sport to date.
Daley was visibly frustrated because Koscheck had wrestled him for 15 minutes and Daley had no outlet for the anger Koscheck had built with his trash talk – before and during the fight. At the time, Ufc president Dana White said “He’s done with the Ufc. I don’t care if he is the best 170-pounder in the world, he will never fight in the Ufc again.”
That was the official party line until a couple of months ago. A rally for Daley to come back to the Ufc came...

According to Firhas Zahabi, Georges St. Pierre is looking at a Ufc return – but should he?
Gsp’s coach has said he expects Gsp to return to fighting, but former champ and Gsp victim Matt Hughes recently stated that he feels Gsp should stay retired.
For his part, Zahabi has stated that the Canadian welterweight legend is “more motivated than ever” and it looking to come back strong. He believes a recent Acl injury has added to that motivation. Now, a motivated Gsp is a scary, scary thing. Ask Matt Sera. When Sera landed a surprise knockout blow on Gsp and won the Ufc belt, Gsp refocused, and took the belt back with vicious knees to Sera in their rematch. Ask Josh Koscheck, who was beaten so badly in his second fight with Gsp that he couldn’t board a plane after the fight,...

According to the Ufc’s official website, number six ranked welterweight and former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard has fallen to injury, and will be replaced by Tyron Woodley at the upcoming Ufc Fight Night: Le vs. Bisping in Macao, China. The event takes place August 23rd at the Cotai Arena.
Woodley most recently fought at Ufc 174 in Vancouver, losing a unanimous decision to Canadian Rory MacDonald in which he was badly outworked. The match resulted in Ufc president Dana White publicly criticizing Woodley’s performance, saying that he “chokes in big fights.” Woodley now has the chance to quickly right the ship against number nine ranked Dong Hyun Kim, a.k.a. Stun Gun, who enters the fight on a four fight win streak, with wins over John Hathaway, Erik Silva, Siyar Bahadurzada, and Paulo Thiago dating back to 2012. His last two wins, over Silva and Hathaway, came by way of knockout.

The Ufc made history this weekend when it hosted its first ever women’s mixed martial arts match, its first ever women’s championship defense, its first ever openly gay/lesbian fighter, and its first ever female headliner. Yes, all of that in a single event that has already shattered a few records. This was not the first ever Wmma bout to be sure, but with the prestige, power, and position of the Ufc, holding a women’s fight anoints the growing movement within the sport with legitimacy and belonging.

The decision by Ufc welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre to fight who he believes to be #1 contender Nick Diaz has been a controversial one. With some fans arguing Johnny Hendricks deserves Nick Diaz’s place and others calling for a super fight with middleweight champion and pound for pound kingpin Anderson Silva. However the Ufc has showed us that sometimes your mouth gets you places faster than your fists. And Georges doesn’t feel the time is right to fight Anderson. So instead we’ll get the highly anticipated, on and off and on again and off again and now on hopefully for good fight between Marijuana activists’ fan favorite Nick Diaz and long time champ Georges St-Pierre.
Come Ufc 158 two things can happen. St-Pierre will use his smart game planning to mix up his striking, foot work and wrestling to win a dominating decision or Diaz will somehow find a...

Before I write another word about Johny Hendricks, I have a confession to make.
I am biased.
I am an Oklahoma State alumnus, born and raised in beautiful Stillwater, Oklahoma. At the dinner table each night as a young Lucky, we thanked God for Henry Iba, Eddie Sutton, and the entire Smith wrestling dynasty (LeRoy, John, Pat, & Mark) with their 7 national championships and 2 Olympic gold medals. I take great pride in the 34 national champions and 134 individual Ncaa championships of my school and alma mater. And our Johny is part of that bedrock.
When I see a Cowboy wrestler with a freaking spitter on stage at a Ufc presss conference, rocking an epic beard, and his easy going folksy accent, I know that’s my guy. That’s a Good Ole Boy. Now with all of that being said, I can objectively and emphatically state:
Johny Hendricks Is Getting Screwed

The Ufc returns to Fox on Saturday with a main card that is sure to please. The main event sees Lightweight contenders Nate Diaz and Jim Miller squaring off with the winner likely to get a shot at the Ufc lightweight title. Elsewhere on the card Johny Hendricks faces perennial welterweight contender Josh Koscheck, Alan Belcher faces Jiu-Jitsu phenom Rousimar Palhares and heavyweights Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson square off.
Pat Barry v Lavar Johnson
The main card looks set to start with a bang. Barry, a vicious kickboxer, has 6 knockouts from his 7 wins while Johnson, a heavy handed brawler, has 14 knockouts from 16 wins. Both men like to stand and bang and this is undoubtedly a firm candidate for the Knockout of the Night honours. To put it simply someone is getting put to sleep. Blink and you might miss it.
Prediction: This one really could go either way but...

The Ufc's Ultimate Fighter (Tuf) reality TV series returned to our screens last Friday night, but arrived with a twist -- as well as the fastest knockout in its history, at just eight seconds. While the show carried the same format and dangled the same prize at the end of it all, the action was, for the first time, live and pretty much uninterrupted and the season will, in time, be far more interactive than ever before, offering fight fans the opportunity to participate and dictate the fates of those inside the house.
A runaway success since its inception in 2005, this latest tweaking should ensure it remains as such, following the odd hit-and-miss season of late. With change comes a period for reflection, however, and now seems as good a time as any to remember and highlight some of the show's very best success stories, if only to provide inspiration...

This week is just about over, which means it's time to decide what to do with your weekend. You'll probably be splitting time between taking care of holiday shopping and hiding from the cold, but you should really only be concerned about just how badly Ufc welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is going to pound challenger Josh Koscheck inside the Octagon in Toronto on Saturday night (December 11). After a season of hyping up the conflict on "The Ultimate Fighter," both men are primed for a classic confrontation. In their first meeting, St-Pierre dominated Koscheck for three rounds and won a decision, but the French-Canadian known as "Rush" has gotten even better since then. Koscheck will put up a good fight, but St-Pierre might be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world right now, and Koscheck won't be able to handle his skill set. The official prediction? St-Pierre by decision.
But before...

Redemption, thy name is Shogun
The main event at Ufc 113 featured a highly anticipated rematch between light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
While many believed that Shogun won the first meeting, Machida was still the odds-on favorite as most observers thought the Karateka's style was still too difficult to solve for Rua a second time.
But on Saturday night, Shogun proved that he had not only learned how to solve the “Machida Rubik’s Cube” but how to do it like a whiz kid. Rua pressured and assaulted Lyoto building on his previous use of leg kicks with an an overhand attack where Rua commented that he noticed a weak spot in Machida’s armor. After three minutes, Shogun landed the right hand dropping Machida and Rua finished “The Dragon” off on the ground.
