Despite Taylor Sheridan’s many faults, his creation of the Paramount flagship series, Yellowstone, has been one of the exceptions during this era of creative block in Hollywood. With a never-ending, expansive, beautiful, and mostly forgotten landscape of Montana serving as the backdrop, a story builds in the cradle of the valley as opposing factions vie for power and control through violence.

With the Broken Rock Indian Reservation serving as the mouthpiece and physical manifestation of the Native American community, Taylor Sheridan crafts a hauntingly tragic tale that cuts through the politeness and exposes the subversion of the community.

Despite being one of the most popular shows to hit the small screen in the last 6 years, Paramount is set to pull the plug from Yellowstone, which will conclude with the second half of season 5. While it’s surely a bummer, as there were plans for more seasons, the alleged dispute between Kevin Costner and the studios led to its falling out. In hindsight, it seems it happened for the best.
It’s not uncommon for great shows to botch their landing, and Yellowstone might’ve suffered the same fate if it continued past season 5, as the cracks started to become visible in season 2.

Can there be a Yellowstone without the formidable Bethany ‘Beth’ Dutton, portrayed by Kelly Reilly, opposite Kevin Costner? It’s a rhetorical question that resonates among the minds of fans who have watched her breathe life into Beth with such magnificent depth & complexity from the very beginning.
Definitely, Reilly’s portrayal of Beth Dutton is more than just a performance; it is a tour de force that mirrors her immense talent and has unquestionably helped cement Yellowstone as one of TV’s most bewitching drama series. So, if anyone needs to be afraid of getting kicked off the ranch, it wouldn’t be her.

Taylor Sheridan brought anyone with an experience on the ranch into his show Yellowstone. This included the acclaimed country musician Ryan Bingham. Bingham plays the guest role of a ranch hand, Walker, in the series. Interestingly, Sheridan is a big fan of the singer’s music and listened to one of his songs on a loop while writing the script for his pre-Yellowstone film, Wind River.

Ryan Bingham’s most recent album, American Love Song, featured a ballad called Wolves, which was inspired by the student organization March For Our Lives. The song was featured in the Taylor Sheridan series, where Bingham’s character sings the song in a scene.

Amy Adams has been tapped to star in At the Sea, a new drama from Kornel Mundruczó and Kata Wéber — the director and writer of such acclaimed films as Pieces of a Woman and White God — as well as Hammerstone Studios, Ryder Picture Company and Ar Content.
Set to enter production in Boston in June, the film follows the life of Laura (Adams) after a long rehabilitation, as she returns to her family at their beach holiday home where she has to readjust to the complicated life she left behind. Now she is forced to face the following next chapter of her life without the career that gave her fame, fortune and, most importantly, identity.
Pic will be produced by Alexander Rodnyansky of Ar Content, Stuart Manashil, Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett for Ryder Picture Company, Hammerstone Studios’ Alex Lebovici and Jon Oakes, and Viktória Petrányi and Mundruczó. Exec producers are Paul J. Diaz, Maria Breese of 3:33 Creative, Lee Broda of Lb Entertainment, Jeff Rice of Jeff Rice Films, and Michael Kupisk. Zsofi Oblath and Rachel Rubin will co-produce.
Ar Content, Paul J. Diaz, and Hammerstone Studios will finance the film, with WME Independent to rep domestic rights, Capstone Pictures handling international, and Sacker Law to oversee production legal.
A six-time Academy Award nominee, Adams most recently wrapped production on 3000 Pictures’ Klara and the Sun, the next film from Oscar winner Taika Waititi, which adapts the dystopian sci-fi story from Kazuo Ishiguro. Up next, she’ll be seen starring in Searchlight Pictures’ Nightbitch from filmmaker Marielle Heller, a dark comedy she also produced through her production company Bond Group Entertainment that hits theaters December 6.
A married director-writer pair out of Hungary, Mundruczó and Wéber are perhaps best known for their 2020 pregnancy drama Pieces of a Woman, which premiered in Venice and brought star Vanessa Kirby her first Oscar nomination following its release on Netflix. Prior to that, the duo collaborated on White God, which won the Un Certain Regard Prize at Cannes in 2014; Jupiter’s Moon, which was nominated for the Palme d’Or; and Evolution, which also played the French festival. Separately, Mundruczó directed the pilot of the Apple TV+ limited series, The Crowded Room, starring Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried.
Most recently, Hammerstone produced the action thriller Boy Kills World starring Bill Skarsgård, which will release wide on April 26, and the horror-thriller Don’t Move, starring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock, for Netflix.
Ryder Picture Company has produced acclaimed titles like Dumb Money and Bruiser.
Ar Content is known for Cannes prize winners like 2019’s Beanpole, from filmmaker Kantemir Balagov, and 2021’s Unclenching the Fists from Kira Kovalenko.
Adams is represented by WME, Linden Entertainment, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. Mundruczó and Wéber are repped by United Agents and Novo.

Back in September, the first image from the horror film Don’t Move was unveiled. That’s the image above, which doesn’t show us anything other than the fact that the movie stars Yellowstone cast member Kelsey Asbille. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more about Don’t Move soon, though, because Variety reports that the worldwide distribution rights to the film have been acquired by the Netflix streaming service. A release date has not yet been announced.
Don’t Move is being produced by genre legend Sam Raimi. Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, who directed episodes of the Raimi-produced anthology series 50 States of Fright, directed the film from a screenplay written by T.J. Cimfel and David White, who previously wrote the 2015 home invasion movie Intruders and the recent creepy kid movie There’s Something Wrong with the Children. This film follows a seasoned killer who injects a grieving woman with a paralytic agent.

If you tuned into "Special Ops: Lioness" this summer, after watching the rest of screenwriter Taylor Sheridan's ever-growing catalog, you may have come away each week surprised to see the character Two Cups still kicking. That's because the actor who plays the CIA special agent in the Paramount+ thriller is James Jordan, who's become notorious for dying in Sheridan's projects. In fact, when asked about Jordan's recurring deaths in an interview with Deadline last year, Sheridan called the actor "my pinch-hitter, when I need to kill somebody."
Jordan's characters have died memorably in three Sheridan projects and counting, beginning all the way back with the 2017 film "Wind River." The film is a bleak look at the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women through the lens of two white investigators trying to solve a murder, and Jordan plays the despicable party responsible. His character, Pete, is revealed to...

The wait for the last-ever episodes of Yellowstone has been excruciating, but we now know when the final episodes are set to air.
Paramount Network confirmed Thursday that the second half of Yellowstone Season 5 is set to premiere in November 2024.
While the episodes were initially set to premiere this summer, Kevin Costner's availability, as well as the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, took the series out of contention for a 2023 return date.
Yellowstone tells the sprawling story of the Dutton family, and the series doesn't exactly have a fast turnaround time when it comes to production.
Amid alleged behind-the-scenes drama, Paramount confirmed earlier this year that the red-hot series would end with these final episodes of the season.
Before the series ending announcement, six episodes remained of Yellowstone Season 5, but there's a good chance that will change now that the last-minute decision to end the show has been made.

As "Yellowstone" diehards endlessly await the eventual conclusion of the series, the Sheridan-verse is experiencing another renaissance now that season 1 is being aired on network television for the very first time. That's also breathing new life into one of the main characters that has unfortunately been relegated to the sidelines more and more with each passing season of the show. Wife to Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and longtime resident at the Broken Rock Indian Reservation, Monica Long (Kelsey Asbille) is a powerhouse in "Yellowstone" season 1.
Monica is one of the last true holdouts that keeps Kaycee away from the controlling arms of his father, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), and she's a beacon of light as a school teacher in a community that desperately needs to hold onto their culture and remember the importance of a good education. Viewers currently watching the show on CBS can see that she's easily...
