For those worried that Greta Gerwig’s Barbie wouldn’t be complete without the use of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl,” you’re in luck: Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice are here to ensure the iconic melody makes it to the movie of the summer with “Barbie World,” a new take on the song sampling Aqua’s iconic song.
Produced by Riotusa, “Barbie World” is primarily a vehicle for Minaj and Ice Spice to lay down verses about what every Barbie girl should be doing: partying. Though the track doesn’t make much use of the Aqua original beyond looping Lene Nystrøm’s vocal line, the booming bass and syncopated percussion act as a perfect setting for the duo’s chemistry. Returning to the refrain “And I’m bad like the Barbie/ I’m a doll but I still wanna party,” the two rappers’ confidence is on full display.

Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice are officially Barbie girls in a Barbie world! On Friday, the rappers released their highly-anticipated Barbie soundtrack collaboration “Barbie World,” reimagining the original song, “Barbie Girl” released by Aqua 25 years ago.
“Pink ‘Vette like I’m ready to bend (Bend),” raps Ice Spice.
“I’m a ten, so I pull in a Ken (Like)” Minaj steps in.
“Jazzie, Stacie, Nikki (Grrah),” comes in Spice, referring to Barbie’s sister, cousin, and friend. (And referencing Minaj, of course!)

For Lauv, working on healing his inner child through therapy and meditation wasn’t enough – he needed to hop in a time machine and head back to 2005 for some on-the-ground remedying. In the music video for his latest single “Kids Are Born Stars,” a plucky pop track about the type of untarnished confidence that often doesn’t last past childhood, the singer and songwriter pays his younger self a wholesome, reassuring visit from the future.

Kate Hudson and former NBA player Baron Davis are the stars of social tonic company Cann’s latest promo video that launched today, a “Saturday Night Live”-style skit that sees the pair preparing the company’s brand-new spiked cannabis drinks before their holiday festivities.
But the real standout is Darren Criss, whose new single “Christmas Dance” (off his debut holiday album “A Very Darren Crissmas”) soundtracks the entire video. Plus, he makes an adorable cameo as an Elf on the Shelf, as he and Hudson reminisce about their time on “Glee” together.
Hudson and Criss’ on-screen cameos are no coincidence. Both performers are longtime investors in Cann, which creates CBD and Thc-infused tonics as an alcohol alternative for social events.

By the time she was 25 years old in the summer of 2018, Demi Lovato tallied more than a billion views of her music videos on YouTube, earned a Grammy nomination, scored two Billboard Pop Song No. 1s, and successfully made the potentially awkward transition from Disney child star to adult pop phenomenon.
But after six years of sobriety, she was also battling a relapse into drug addiction.
In the upcoming four-part YouTube Originals documentary “Demi Lovato: Dancing with Devil,” the singer reveals what led to a nearly-fatal overdose on July 28, 2018, and the hospitalization and recovery treatment that followed. At YouTube Original’s virtual panel at the Ctam Winter 2021 Press Tour on Wednesday, Lovato and executive producer/director/screenwriter Michael D. Ratner spoke about the upcoming project.
In the trailer, Lovato says that she had three strokes and a heart attack during the overdose, and doctors said she had “five to 10 minutes left.

We may still have a few questions about this year's MTV Video Music Awards - like who's hosting the night of music - but at least we know everyone who's nominated! Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are leading the pack of nominees with nine nods each thanks in large part to their instant club collaboration "Rain on Me," followed by Billie Eilish and The Weeknd with six nominations each. Not only does this year's list of nominees host two quarantine-specific categories (best music video from home and best quarantine performance) but it also has a couple of history-makers: Eilish is the first artist in Vma history to nab two video-of-the-year nominations while still in their teens and Grande is the first artist to be nominated for video of the year three years in a row since Beyoncé's run from 2014 to 2016, just to name a couple. Who will take home a "Moon Person" this year?...

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis and reminiscent of Nineties music videos like Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” the “No Shame” clip features all kinds of public displays of shamelessness, from drinking out of a milk carton to taking selfies in front of a car accident.
“It was so much fun collaborating with the guys on this video,” Davis says. “They fearlessly dove into each scene and trusted...

Whitney Houston and Kygo’s collaboration “Higher Love” has received an appropriately Eighties-inspired, dance-heavy video.
Hannah Lux Davis (Ariana Grande, Halsey) directed the colorful, nostalgic visual, which opens with a group of men walking down a dusty street when one of them veers off towards a warehouse as the opening chords of “Higher Love” ring out in the distance. The man then looks through a window to see a group of women in Eighties jazzercise gear — high-cut bodysuits, bright leggings, sweatbands — rehearsing a dance routine. His friends join, mesmerized, before the women notice the voyeurs.

Country music videos in 2018 were a mix of the poignant and the empowering, as some clips movingly told end-of-life tales and others glamorously celebrated independence. Others still lampooned the very art of making videos. Here’s the 10 must-watch clips of the year.
John Prine, “Summer’s End”
A woman loses her life to opioids, leaving behind a young daughter and an elderly father. The aftermath is shown in a series of quick vignettes: an emotional breakdown at school; a trip to a fruit orchard; a family visitation at the gravesite.
