As if headlining another John Wick, joining a treasured franchise like Toy Story, and making waves in a hilarious cameo appearance in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe wasn’t enough for one summer, Keanu Reeves‘ character’s earning just as many accolades. His demeanor with female fans has made him a standout icon in the wake of the #MeToo movement, and all of this has even combined to create, yes, another online petition (which I even signed).
But there’s something special about the Keanusance. And there’s even an argument to be made that this summer’s the standout in Reeves’ long-and-winding career, as media-consumers flock towards his kindness and generosity – two characteristics absent from a lot of today’s celebrities, political and otherwise.

Washington, February 6: Finding love and keeping it are a difficult task. Here are some norms for dating in the present age to avoid disappointing your potential partner.
An annual academic survey developed by biological anthropologist and Rutgers University professor Helen Fisher has found that 36 percent of singles in their 20s judge a date by their electronic device, but they find it rude if their date is busy checking their phone on their first outing together, Mashable reported.
According to the survey sponsored by Match.com, 59 percent of men are turned off when someone texts more than once before a reply, followed by texting during work hours and using text slang.
As for women, they enjoy texts during work.

Desperate contestants are fairly common on ABC's "The Bachelor," but after this week's episode, some of the women competing for Ben Flajnik's affection took it to a whole new level.
Just as the dating competition prepared to narrow to a field of just six lucky ladies, audiences had to brace themselves for the cringe-worthy displays from women terrified of rejection -- but their desperate acts may be backed by scientific reasoning.
Note: The following contains spoilers if you have not seen Season 16, Episode 6 of ABC's "The Bachelor."
A quick recap of this week's episode: Blakeley presented Ben with a scrapbook of the several hours they've spent together. Courtney, once again, took off all her clothes and then stayed up all night waiting for her Prince Charming to arrive for an illicit visit to her room, though he never showed up. Kacie B. brought a stuffed monkey on a date and...

The 2012 Sundance Film Festival has come to an end, and the winners of the Jury, Audience, and Next <=> awards have been announced. There was a great selection of films this year at the festival, and I've seen more good than bad. I'm ultimately happy with the outcome. Beasts of the Southern Wild was this year's most buzzed about film and took home the top Grand Jury Prize. I didn't like it as much as everyone else, but it was still good, and it won. I think it was just way too over hyped for what I ended up seeing. Maybe I would have liked it more had I gone in with no expectations.
Here's the full breakdown of winners:

Fox Searchlight was the big winner at the Sundance Film Festival 2012, as two of their acquired titles won top awards. It is no surprise that Benh Zeitlin‘s Beast of the Southern Wild (our review here) picked up the grand jury dramatic prize, as it was the most-buzzed of the fest. The Surrogate, starring John Hawkes, won the dramatic audience award and one can read our review of that drama here. It was great to see other fest favorites like Mike Birbiglia‘s Sleepwalk With Me and The Queen of Versailles among other winners. Check them all out below and see our full coverage here.

The Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent cinema festival in the United States. Held in January in Park City, Salt Lake City, the festival is a showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. The Festival has changed over the decades from a low-profile venue for small-budget, independent creators from outside the Hollywood system to a media extravaganza for Hollywood celebrity actors, paparazzi, and luxury lounges set up by companies that are not affiliated with Sundance.
Now the festival is getting ready for the 2012 edition and today they announced the jury members for this year’s Festival. They include Shari Berman, Scott Burns, Charles Ferguson, Nick Fraser, Mike Judge, Justin Lin, Anthony Mackie, Cliff Martinez, Julia Ormond, Dee Rees and Lynn Shelton.

Anthony Weiner may insist his marriage to Huma Abedin will survive, but why did he risk it all for affairs with women he never met? Jessica Bennett offers nine scientific theories for why men cheat online.
The flirtations began three years ago-long before Anthony Weiner's marriage. But they continued after his wedding, making their way onto Twitter, Facebook, and presumably, elsewhere. There was the woman in Seattle who alleged she'd never met the man; a Jewish gal who reportedly told Weiner she gave a mean, ahem, oral service; and, allegedly, a Vegas blackjack dealer. Late Monday, we learned of a fourth source of Weiner's wandering joystick: a 26-year-old Texas single mom who says her relationship with the congressman began in April, culminating with "hundreds of messages," photos, and an interview with ABC News. "I asked him to take a picture and write 'me' on it so I would know [it was him]," the woman said.

Get ready for this: Increased testosterone levels may be behind all these celeb holiday splits! First Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar called it quits. Then Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens followed suit. Soon after Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson announced their split. Then Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter , followed by "Nip/Tuck"'s Dylan Walsh and Joanna Going , jumped on the breakup bandwagon--and this was all within the past week. According to Dr. Helen Fisher , Chemistry.com 's relationship expert and "chief scientific advisor," testosterone's to blame for the recent round of breakups. "Levels of testosterone peak in the late autumn, in November and early December, and high levels of testosterone are associated with being analytical, logical, direct, decisive and tough-minded. So, if a higher testosterone man or woman is stuck in a bad partnership, he or she might get that extra bit of chemical drive to the make the leap--away!
