Colleen Fitzpatrick has a knack for knowing what you need to hear at any particular point in time, and she knows how to put it in front of you. As the Netflix executive responsible for music creative production, spectacle and events, much of the music on the streamer’s series passed through her hands — or ears.
In fact, in all likelihood, you’ve crossed paths with Fitzpatrick — under her stage name Vitamin C, who saw multiple hits in the 1990s, including end-of-high-school staple “Graduation (Friends Forever),” and her reggae-tinged Top 20 smash, “Smile.” She’s also a former actor, whose appearance as Amber von Tussle in John Waters’ “Hairspray” was an unforgettable one.
In 2006, Fitzpatrick launched her own production company, Vcr, with a focus on music projects. That’s when she put her songwriting talents and music business savvy at work for a slew of Disney-generated pop stars, including Miley Cyrus...

The notion of David Arquette starring in a horror movie about a “possessed” rock band promises so much trashy fun, a certain amount of disappointment seems almost inevitable. Yet “High Voltage” confounds expectations by being very little fun at all. Short on thrills and energy despite its title, this slick yet sluggish feature often seems barely interested in the horror elements that are, after all, what will primarily lure viewers in.
Instead, the genre hook comes off as more of a Trojan Horse with which to smuggle in a showcase for “Hollow Body”, the onscreen vehicle for writer-director Alex Keledjian’s songwriting and costar Allie Gonino’s singing. It’s an awkward, compromising combination that ultimately provides little satisfaction on any level — unless you’re content to watch Gonino model a series of increasingly over-the-top, midriff-baring “sexy rock chick” fashions.

Tagline: "Re-born to be Wild." A few details are emerging for Alex Keledjian's Hollow Body. This thriller involves a struggling rock band. When the lead singer and her mother are struck by lightning, Rachel (Allie Gonino) lets loose an electrifying performance. The film stars: Luke Wilson, David Arquette and Ryan Donowho. This title was recently at the Cannes Film Festival. Now, a poster, stills and other promotional materials are available for this title. The official synopsis begins and ends with Rachel. She is apprehensive when performing in front of a crowd. Then, an act of God infuses here with new talents. But, she must kill again and again, to keep her supernatural singing voice going. Will a shady record exec' do the right thing? The first film poster puts Rachel front and center. Possibly a love triangle, Rick (Luke Wilson) and Jimmy (David Arquette) struggle over what to do with Rachel's new,...

So, Baby Daddy fans, was it worth the wait?
After a six-month hiatus, the Freeform comedy returned for its fifth season on Wednesday, at which point Riley finally answered Danny’s big proposal (after faking amnesia and stalling for another half hour, of course). And although the couple isn’t technically engaged, I think we all shared in Riley’s joy when she ultimately slipped on Danny’s “someday” ring.

Saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy, and that’s definitely the case for Junior when he calls Rachel in this Thursday’s episode of The Red Road. In this exclusive sneak peek from the episode, Junior reaches out to Rachel because he wants to talk to her one last time before he goes after Levi. When she asks him to come over, Junior tells her that he can’t because he’s in Connecticut, and he soon begins to worry Rachel, as he tells her that he knows what he has to do, that he’s not confused, no matter what anyone says. It’s an incredibly emotional scene, as Junior looks for love and understanding from the person who matters most to him, and both Kiowa Gordon and Allie Gonino are terrific in it. It’s been almost a year since the six-episode debut season of SundanceTV’s The Red Road ended. However, in just over a week, the series will be back for its much anticipated second season, with Jason Momoa’s Phillip Kopus returning home after having been released from jail and Harold (Martin Henderson) still struggling to deal with the many issues going on in Walpole. We at TVOvermind have an exclusive first look at The Red Road‘s Season 2 premiere, which proves that things haven’t gotten much easier for Harold and company since we last saw them, as they find themselves in dark (literally) and dangerous situation. In addition to Momoa and Henderson, The Red Road stars Julianne Nicholson as Jean Jensen, Tamara Tunie as Marie, Antoni Corone as Captain Warren, Kiowa Gordon as Junior, Allie Gonino as Rachel Jensen, Tom Sizemore as Jack Kopus, and Wes Studi as Chief Levi Gall.

Two thirds of the way through its inaugural season, The Red Road is somewhat of a puzzle. It has interesting, well-explored characters and an appropriately teased slow-burn Deep Dark Past mystery. There’s plenty the characters don’t know but due to the split narrative approach, following each of our leads through the past several weeks rather than adhering to one or another’s Pov, the audience has these answers and that, combined with the strong sense that the central trio is here to stay, leaves the show sputtering on...

Airs Thursdays at 9pm Est on SundanceTV
This week, on The Red Road: Jean starts to stabilize, Phillip spends some quality time with his dad, and Rachel has terrible taste in boyfriends
The Red Road continues this week with an entertaining, if not hugely memorable, table-setting episode. With only six episodes in the first season, there’s not much opportunity for multiple dramatic peaks and valleys, so it’s not surprising that episode three features some fallout from the characters’ various poor choices in episodes one and two and a few new touches, but no fireworks. These are presumably coming later, as we build towards the finale. As a middle episode, however, “The Woman Who Fell from the Sky” works well, expanding Phillip’s circle and focusing in a bit more on Rachel.

With AMC’s The Walking Dead regularly besting the once-untouchable Winter Olympics and FX’s The Americans drawing critical raves, you can’t blame SundanceTV (previously known as the Sundance Channel) for wanting another piece of slow-burn, high-quality programming to call their very own. Its first series Rectify was a success, garnering acclaim and awards buzz, so the network is trying its luck again with The Red Road, a dark drama starring Martin Henderson and Jason Momoa.
Front and center in this show are the complicated tensions between a Native American tribe and the nearby town of Walpole, New Jersey. Unfortunately, it’s not entirely explained where all of the bad blood between the groups comes from, and I have a feeling that viewers invested in finding out will have to wait out the full six-episode first season in order to get a complete picture.

As Rebecca’s lies get more twisted, the wicked wife is quickly losing allies! Is she about to crack?
Dan and Theresa’s wedding went off without a hitch on the Feb. 26 episode of The Lying Game — and by that, I mean absolutely no one got hitched. The bride remained M.I.A., and a full-scale investigation was launched; but the most shocking discovery was the one Emma (Alexandra Chando) made about her dad. In the episode’s final moments, Emma confronted Ted (Andy Buckley) at the grave where Theresa went missing, and she was holding the hospital I.D. card he left behind!
In what could be considered an equally surprising turn of events, Sutton came clean to Emma about her dealings with Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) — and I mean all of her dealings. So for the first time since the pilot, the twins are finally on the same page.

It was kiss-and-tell week on ‘The Lying Game,’ and pretty soon there won’t be any couples left!
Has Rebecca’s (Charisma Carpenter) wicked little plan finally come to fruition? The Feb. 19 episode of The Lying Game marked the official demise of the Mercers’ marriage after Alec (Adrian Pasdar) was caught kissing Kristen (Helen Slater) at the club — which, of course, Rebecca couldn’t wait to bring to Ted’s (Andy Buckley) attention. And in other unsurprising news, it wasn’t long before Ted and Rebecca found themselves in a little lip lock of their own!
Meanwhile, Emma (Alexandra Chando) continued to wrestle with her feelings for Thayer (Christian Alexander); though not quite as much as Thayer, who literally wrestled with Ethan (Blair Redford) over Emma. And just to make matters even more complicated, Laurel (Allie Gonino) told Ethan that Emma still has feelings for him, and suggested that he go after her.

But will Laurel help Emma take down Sutton & Rebecca, or will she reject her for lying for so long?
Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) and Sutton (Alexandra Chando) have done a pretty good job of keeping their secrets to themselves — until tonight, that is. Plus, a major twist in Alec’s murder investigation leaves everyone scared for the future.
After a night of uninhibited passion, Ethan (Blair Redford) told Sutton (Alexandra Chando) those magical words every girl dreams of hearing from the guy she loves: “Sorry, this was a mistake. In fact, let’s run down all the uncomfortable interactions from the Jan. 22 episode, shall we?

2. Emma agreed to tutor Ethan, unaware he’d just slept with Sutton the night before.

Allie Gonino tells HollywoodLife.com to expect more mystery, more men -- and most importantly -- more music! ABC Family's The Lying Game doesn't return with its second season until January, but because some secrets are just too good to keep, Allie Gonino is giving HollywoodLife.com a peek at what's to come — and it sounds like big changes are on the way for her character. "In season one, Laurel hung back and kept to herself," Allie says. "She had all the boyfriends and the music stuff going on, but now she's fully entrenched in the drama and the mystery of it all." Here are five mini spoilers Allie shared with me: 1. Courtroom drama: "[The premiere] picks up, not exactly where we left off, but shortly after," Allie says. "The first episode picks up when we go to court to see Alec's trial. It's a couple weeks after that whole situation [at the wedding] happened.

Plus, do you think Alec really killed Derek? The proof is in the texts. With Ethan (Blair Redford) behind bars and a killer on the loose, tensions were running high on the Feb. 20 episode of The Lying Game -- and Sutton (Alexandra Chando) decided to use the chaos as an opportunity to screw with Emma. Pretending to be her sister, Sutton paid a visit to Ethan -- who clearly hasn't learned how to tell the difference between the twins -- and told him that "she" slept with Thayer (Christian Alexander) while he was away. To make matters even bitchier, Sutton later lied to Emma and told her she slept with Ethan while they were away at his ranch! Meanwhile, Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) began to grow suspicious of Alec (Adrian Pasdar), especially when someone texted her a picture of Alec literally attacking Derek (Ben Elliott) with a crow bar at the scene of his murder.

Has Emma completely lost her mind? We all knew it was bound to happen eventually. Emma and Sutton (Alexandra Chando) switched places -- again -- on the Feb. 6 episode of The Lying Game, leading to a whole lot of confusion. And even more revelations. For starters, Mads (Alice Greczyn) found out that Sutton hit on Ryan (Misha Crosby) at the black-and-white ball, which led Emma to reveal the truth: She's not Sutton! Dun, dun, dun! And Justin "Crazy Eyes" Miller (Randy Wayne) continued dating Laurel (Allie Gonino) on the Dl, but things got a little awkward when he attended her concert and watched as sparks flew between her and Baz (Adam Brooks). He did hook up with Laurel (Allie Gonino), but he split up with her, and as it turns out, he's in Phoenix for another reason: because he holds Ted (Andy Buckley) responsible for the death of his mother.
So, what's Justin to do? Can he find a way to reconnect with Laurel? Or will he settle for another blonde? Yes, he did mention another blonde in a recent conference call with reporters, highlights of which are just after this sentence.

Just when it seemed like this week’s episode of The Lying Game would make no major developments… it packed a good punch and getaway. We did not dive any deeper in the case of who Sutton and Emma’s biological parents are but the gang did find out who almost killed Sutton the night of the party. Too bad this did not lead them to his boss. Running against the clock, Ethan had to make a decision that directly affected not only his life but Sutton and Emma’s. Talk about turmoil. Where “Dead Man Talking” ended… it has taken the show in a direction none of us would rather go down. But because of that, there is sure to be some incredible drama that would not have taken place otherwise. More on that in a bit…

What an incredible episode of The Lying Game. Sutton gets a reality check, the walls come crumbling down for Laurel only to be put back up immediately by her family, and lots more takes place in this episode of The Lying Game. To say the least, this was quite an entertaining hour.

This week’s episode of The Lying Game, “Pleased to Meet Me” was one of the more mediocre episodes of the bunch so far this season. While Sutton (Alexandra Chando) has returned home and is no longer in need of having Emma be her, the drama was not taken to its usual high. Instead of focusing on story development, this was more of a character driven episode in the sense that we were given some back story and we were finally able to see how certain characters act around others when the going gets tough. Overall, this is definitely not one of the most memorable episodes of The Lying Game, but it played its necessary part in this story and for that, it can be appreciated.

Justin 'Crazy Eyes' Miller finally came clean on the Jan. 16 episode of 'The Lying Game!' And his secret is as crazy as his eyes. I didn't think it was possible, but somehow everyone's lives have gotten even more complicated now that Sutton (Alexandra Chando) is back in Phoenix, and I've got a feeling the mayhem she caused on the Jan. 16 episode of The Lying Game was merely a taste of what's to come. Not only is Emma's place in the Mercer family now jeopardized, but so is her relationship with Ethan (Blair Redford), as well as Sutton's relationship with Thayer (Christian Alexander.) Oh, and she has no idea who wrote that terrifying letter. Sutton did, however, reveal that Annie Hobbs was the one who saved her from her car the night it sank into the lake. The details of that are sketchy at best, but at least we...
