Penn Badgley is hard at work on the fifth and final season of You alongside co-star Charlotte Ritchie.
The two actors were spotted filming a red carpet scene on Thursday night (April 18) in New York City.
Penn and Charlotte, who play Joe and Kate on the hit Netflix series, shared a passionate kiss while posing in front of red carpet photographers. It seems their relationship is becoming a high-profile one on the series!
Netflix notes that season four ended as “Joe returned to New York City with his wealthy partner Kate and a dangerous new lease on life — a life he’s finally admitted is fundamentally immoral.”
Just a few weeks ago, Netflix shared the first official photo of Penn on set for the fifth and final season. It’s not yet known when the season will debut.

Hey, Upper East Siders! It looks like a certain lovelorn serial killer is looking back at his lonely boy days! Penn Badgley is returning to the streets of New York in the final season of the thriller series You. Recent pictures from the set have sent fans down the nostalgia route. Badgley is seen kissing his ‘You’ Season 5 co-star Charlotte Ritchie, but we remember something like this all too well. Throwing back to his Gossip Girl days and that iconic Blake Lively kiss. Penn is channeling his inner Dan Humphery after all these years.
You, starring Penn Badgley, end up being the unexpected success on the streaming platform. I was engrossed in the tale of Joe Goldberg, whose peculiar rendezvous and romantic destiny typically culminate in the death of one party and his escape.

One year ago, it was announced that the Netflix streaming service had renewed the serial killer thriller series You for a fifth season, which will also be the final one. While executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter said that You was always intended to be a “five season journey”, showrunner Sera Gamble decided not to guide the journey to its conclusion. Although she remains attached as an executive producer, she has passed showrunner duties over to fellow executive producers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo. Thankfully, Foley and Lo are no strangers to You. They have been working on the series since season 1 and season 2, respectively. Now You season 5 is gearing up for production, and Deadline reports that Madeline Brewer – whose credits include The Handmaid’s Tale, Orange Is the New Black, and the horror film Cam – has joined the cast.

Hello, you.
Netflix's hit You is coming back for its fifth and final season. Here's everything we know so far about our last date with Joe.
You was renewed for Season 5 immediately following the release of Season 4 last spring. The Netflix show has been a consistent success for the streaming platform since it migrated from Lifetime in 2018.
Executive producers Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti say they always meant for You to end after five seasons.
We can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
You Season 5 Release Date
Though the exact release date is still a mystery, Season 5 of You is expected to premiere in 2024 on Netflix.
Possible delays could push the release back to early 2025.
There hasn't been any news, which has us a bit worried, but as you can imagine, the suspense is killing us!

Forced to choose under pain of neck-arrow, what would your favourite Ghosts episode be? The one with Pat’s death day? The Christmas panto ep? The Captain’s story finally told in “Carpe Diem”? Or the one where, in under half an hour, a bunch of comedy characters in silly costumes deliver the most emotionally insightful and instructive reflection on grief perhaps ever shown on TV? We nominated some corkers here, but they barely scratch the surface of this delightful, warm comedy.
Let’s leave it to the experts then. As told to Nathan Bryon on the BBC Sounds podcast Inside… Ghosts, here’s what the show’s creators and stars rate as their personal faves, now that the show is over. From Ben Willbond, Jim Howick, Mat Baynton, Larry Rickard, Martha Howe-Douglas, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Charlotte Ritchie, here are their personal picks of the BBC show’s best episodes...

In 2021, Pointless fans had to come to terms with the fact that change is the only constant in this crazy, crazy world when the show’s co-creator and co-host Richard Osman left to pursue other career opportunities such as being an incredibly successful crime novelist, and taking the main seat on his own game show Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Good for Richard Osman, it all seems to be very going well for him. But for Pointless?
Taking its cue from satirical current affairs show Have I Got News For You?, which settled on a revolving carousel of guest hosts when its regular host Angus Deayton was forced to step down instead of plumping for a permanent chair, Pointless has welcomed a series of co-hosts in the past couple of years.
First up were Sally Lindsay, Stephen Mangan, Lauren Laverne, Alex Brooker, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble. Next came Andi Oliver,...

Just as a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down*, a touch of creativity helps to pep up otherwise dull administrative tasks. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ghosts UK Season 1, Episode 1, “Who Do You Think You Are?” & “Gorilla War.”] Ghosts UK has landed stateside as the original inspiration behind CBS‘s fan-favorite Ghosts made its Season 1 debut on the network. As with most TV influences, Ghosts UK strikes a strong resemblance with its American counterpart — which debuted on CBS in 2021, two years after UK‘s launch in 2019 — as viewers are introduced to Alison (Charlotte Ritchie) and Mike (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), a young couple who are searching for a new home when they get an exciting call. Alison has inherited Button House, a home full of restless spirits. Sound familiar? While Alison and Mike may be the counterparts to Rose McIver‘s Sam and Utkarsh Ambudkar‘s Jay, they are their own characters with their own quirks. Unlike Jay, Mike isn’t a chef, and Alison’s career isn’t quite defined when we meet her either. All we know is ...

We all know and love Ghosts, but the original young humans who inherit a specter-stuffed mansion are in this 2019–23 British comedy. You’ll notice some familiar characters — U.K. spouses Alison (Charlotte Ritchie) and Mike (Kiell Smith-Bynoe) parallel the U.S.’s Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) — as well as a strikingly similar setup. (Credit: Mark Johnson/Monumental Pictures. Copyright Monumental Television. All Rights Reserved) “All of those house-share sitcoms contain people that are in a situation they are stuck in. Ghosts is the ultimate version of that. They are stuck together for hundreds of years, and none of them can leave,” says cocreator Laurence Rickard, who plays U.K.’s caveman spook Robin and the detached head of another ghost, Tudor nobleman Sir Humphrey Bone. In back-to-back episodes, Button House’s dead residents “meet” the new owners and, hearing the couple’s plans for a hotel conversion,...

For the last five years, January has meant one thing to the cast of Ghosts: trundling over to West Horsley Place in Surrey to film the next series. Not in 2024. The BBC comedy’s final episode is set to air this Christmas, and after that, what do this in-demand lot have planned?
Plenty, it turns out. They’ll be popping up on screen and stage, as well as writing new projects both individually and together. As Larry Rickard told Den of Geek, “It’s not like we’re [famously fractious 70s soft rock band] The Eagles and we hate each other!” A Ghosts reunion down the line “wouldn’t be a mountain to climb,” says Rickard. “It’s a door that’s shut but obviously, doors have hinges and handles.”
And ghosts can just walk through them, we venture? “Well exactly, they haven’t even got to go to the effort of opening them.”

It may have been mere months since Taskmaster series 15 ended, but the brand-new series 16 feels like it’s arrived at just the right time, giving us a chance to escape endlessly depressing talk of the latest celebrity criminal revelations and our world leaders’ somewhat “lalala can’t hear you” approach to climate change.
There’s a lot to live up to after the excellent last series, but Taskmaster series 16 has a promising line-up that fits the show’s tried-and-tested dysfunctional family dynamic. The ‘mum and dad’ figures of Julian Clary and Sue Perkins are joined by three distinctive ‘kids’: the ditsy persona of Lucy Beaumont, the intelligent fun of Susan Wokoma… and Sam Campbell, who is completely bonkers.
Although he’s probably the least UK-famous of this batch of contestants right now, he’s got serious comedy chops, winning the top prize at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022 and appearing in some great sitcoms.

A few familiar faces are missing from Call the Midwife Season 12. The latest season of the long-running BBC drama recently landed on Netflix in the U.S., which means that some fans are just discovering that several beloved characters have left the show. The departures include Fenella Woolgar, who played the cheerful nun Sister Hilda.
Sister Hilda isn’t in ‘Call the Midwife’ Season 12
Woolgar joined the Call the Midwife cast in season 8, which aired in 2019. Her character, Sister Hilda, arrived at Nonnatus House in 1964, and she quickly became an integral part of the close-knit group of nuns and midwives.
Before she joined the religious order, Sister Hilda served in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during World War II. During that period in her life, she lived in London’s East End. When she returned to the neighborhood years later as a midwife, she was shocked by the changes she saw.

Kitty (Lolly Adefope) This forever-positive Georgian Black woman seeks pals to counter a painful upbringing by an adoptive white family. Cause of death yet to be revealed. Patrick “Pat” Butcher (Jim Howick) The sweet Adventure Club leader was killed in 1984 by an arrow through his neck, like his U.S. counterpart, Pete (Richie Moriarty). As the streaming landscape continues to evolve, for better and for worse, companies like Netflix are trying to find new ways to stay relevant and keep people coming back to watch their movies and TV shows over the competition’s. Netflix is well known for making the binge-watch model of release popular, with entire seasons dropping on the streamer at once to encourage viewers to consume a series as fast as they can. But now that weekly episode releases are becoming popular again for TV shows on services like Hulu, Disney+, and Max, Netflix seems to be trying to find a way to keep up hype for their shows beyond the first week a season drops.
Rather than entirely scrapping the binge-watch model, Netflix has instead chosen to adopt a hybrid of sorts where they split seasons into two parts and release them separately.

We have good news and bad news for fans of PBS’s Grantchester. The good news is that the British mystery drama has been renewed for a ninth season. The bad news is that the upcoming season will be the last for Tom Brittney, who has played crime-solving vicar Will Davenport since season 4.
‘Grantchester’ renewed for season 9
It’s only been a few weeks since Grantchester Season 8 premiered on PBS, but the show’s cast is already looking ahead to season 9. Filming recently began on the upcoming episodes, which will be Tom Brittney’s last. The actor – who took over as vicar after James Norton left the show in 2019 – has decided to move on.
“I’ve had the most incredible time playing Will Davenport for the last five years,” Brittney told PBS. “I got to solve crimes with my best friend, and work with the best cast and crew I could ever ask for.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone is saddling up for its broadcast debut after joining CBS‘ fall schedule. The upcoming slate features a handful of notable series and reality-based programs, including Seal Team and BBC’s Ghosts. The reworked plan is a product of the ongoing strike, which finds writers and actors picketing in front of major studios worldwide.
Concerning how CBS roped Yellowstone onto its schedule, whispers indicate the arrangement could have come from MTV Studios, which produces with 101 Studios. The first season of Yellowstone airs on Sundays, replacing The Equalizer at 9 p.m. The reworked schedule also hosts Seal Team, the hit military drama starring David Boreanaz. Seal Team slips into the Thursday 10 p.m. slot, a spot initially reserved for the new series Elsbeth, a spinoff of The Good Wife/The Good Fight. The Paramount+ docuseries FBI True also comes to the lineup alongside repeat episodes of FBI.

The cast of ‘Yellowstone’
CBS’s 2023 fall primetime lineup will look vastly different from previous years. Due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production has been shut down on scripted series and films. Given the lack of new episodes of its normal nighttime shows, CBS is diving into programs that have aired on Paramount+. Plus, the network’s leaning heavily on unscripted series and game shows.
Yellowstone starring Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes will make its debut on broadcast television this fall. Season one will air on Sundays on CBS, five years after premiering in June 2018 on Paramount Network.
