CAA Talent Agent Josh Lieberman Buys Paul R. Williams-Designed Brentwood Mansion, Lists 90210 Estate
Pioneering Black architect Paul R. Williams — a favorite of Golden Age Hollywood elite and other assorted jetsetters — designed this stately 1930s manor for opera singer-actress Grace Moore and her husband, Spanish actor Valentín Parera. But the couple ultimately became disenchanted with Hollywood, fled the city and never actually lived in the Brentwood house — legendary actor Tyrone Power and his French wife Annabella were its first occupants, having bought the place soon after it was built, according to the Paul R. Williams Project. This is one of two Williams-designed houses owned by Power; the actor apparently loved the Brentwood digs so much that he commissioned ...

Winston Duke has had quite a year.
Not only did the Yale School of Drama alum make his feature film debut, but it happened to be in “Black Panther” playing M’Baku.
“It’s been a blessing,” Duke says. “A lot of things come with this. It’s a lot of attention. It’s a lot of all these new people and gifts and all these things, but I remember when I wasn’t working, I was praying a lot. When I prayed, I remember saying, ‘I just want to work.’
“I prayed for work. I didn’t pray for fame. I didn’t pray for anything but work.”
Duke was the center of attention on Thursday night at the Montage Beverly Hills, where luxury leather goods brand McM and GQ hosted a dinner in his honor.
Born in Tobago, his mom, Cora Pantin, decided to move the family to the U.

Lionsgate is capitalizing on its recent acquisition of 3 Arts Entertainment by setting up two multi-camera comedy series prospects for Fox from talent repped by the management-production firm.
Both projects will be co-productions with Fox Broadcasting Co. The orders for these projects and others are a sign that Fox intends to continue developing scripted series even as its parent company awaits a big transition in selling off other studio and network assets to Disney.
“Uncle Joey” stars comedian Joey Diaz as a Cuban immigrant with a troubled past who moves to an upscale suburb to raise his daughter. “King of the Hill” alums Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin penned the script and exec produce with Diaz and 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg, Jonathan Berry and Josh Lieberman.
“Significant Brother” revolves around a newlywed couple whose life is changed when the brother’s estranged gay brother moves in and becomes best friend with his wife.

Fox has given a script commitment with penalty to two multi-camera semi-autobiographical comedies, Uncle Joey, toplined by comedian Joey Diaz and written by Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin, and Significant Brother, written by Scott King (Difficult People) and Moe Jelline (You Again). Both hail from Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment, in their first broadcast development season six months after Lionsgate acquired a majority stake in the management/production company.
Written by Glarum and Jamin, Uncle Joey is inspired by the comedy of Diaz. It follows a Cuban immigrant (Diaz) with a troubled past who’s given a second chance at life when he moves his family to an upscale suburb. Intent on being the best family man possible, Joey works to raise his young daughter with old school values in today’s rapidly changing world.

Netflix subscribers are about to see a lot more of Katherine Ryan. The British-based comic and actress is writing and starring in “The Duchess,” a new comedy series for the streaming giant from 3Arts and Clerkenwell Films, the producers of “The End of the F***ing World.”
Canadian-Irish performer Ryan will also record a new stand-up comedy special for Netflix, which will be shot in the U.S. She is a familiar face to viewers in the U.K. as a regular host and participant on several comedy panel shows. British-based comedian Katherine Ryan is serving up the funny with not one, but two projects on Netflix. She is set to write, executive produce, and star in her debut scripted series The Duchess and will return to the streaming giant with her second stand-up special Glitter Room.
The Duchess follows the powerful and problematic choices of a fashionably disruptive single mom living in London. Her daughter, Olive, is her greatest love so she debates a second child with her greatest enemy — Olive’s dad. Can two wrongs make another right? Netflix will stream six 30-minute episodes.
Executive producers are Dave Becky & Josh Lieberman for 3Arts; and Murray Ferguson, Petra Fried, and Ed Macdonald for Clerkenwell Films (The End of the F***ing World)
Ryan will bring her 2018 UK tour show Glitter Room to Netflix for an hour-long stand-up comedy special after an unprecedented four week run at London’s Garrick Theatre in the West End.

There will not be a third season of “American Vandal,” as Netflix has decided to cancel the mockumentary series after two seasons.
“‘American Vandal’ will not return for a third season,” said Netflix in a statement just a month after the show’s second debuted. “We’re very grateful to the creators, writers, cast and crew for bringing their innovative comedy to Netflix, and to the fans and critics who embraced its unique and unconventional humor.”
“American Vandal” may not be done, however, as producers at CBS TV Studios have already received calls about a potential third season on another platform, an insider tells TheWrap.

Netflix has opted not to renew mockumentary comedy series American Vandal for a third season. I hear producing studio CBS TV Studios is fielding incoming interest in the Funny Or Die show from other potential buyers.

It’s official — CBS is not picking up a third season of Superior Donuts, its multi-camera workplace comedy starring Jermaine Fowler and Judd Hirsch.
After a decent ratings start last spring, goosed by a plum lead-in from The Big Bang Theory, Superior Donuts was renewed for a second season with some casting changes, including the addition of Diane Guerrero, and got a full-season Season 2 pickup last fall.
CBS had been looking to make changes on Monday where the network was once the dominant force with hit comedies and CSI: Miami at 10 Pm. CBS’ fortunes on the night have declined over the past couple of years, hitting a low point this season. Superior Donuts was the lowest rated of the three returning CBS series on Monday which were in a renewal contention, averaging a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating (most recent)
While the cast of the sitcom has been well received, the show didn’t quite gel together.

Pop said it would expand its lineup of original series with a new series led by actress Anna Paquin and three new pilots.
The cable network, owned jointly by CBS Corp and Lionsgate, aims for young adults and tends to compete with networks such as Bravo, E! and Lifetime. Pop was once better known as the TV Guide Channel, and showed TV favorites alongside a scrolling grid of programming on the set-top box. Since 2015, however, it has curated a group of original series and older favorites that celebrate fandom.
“We are heading into this year’s upfront with an ever-growing linear television audience, a premium slate of original content with A-list talent, and carriage across all major distributors and almost every over-the-top service,” said Brad Schwartz, President of Pop. “Building on this momentum, we’re introducing more premium scripted content than ever before.”

We could not be more overjoyed with the news that Netflix has announced that they have officially renewed the break-out true crime satire series “American Vandal” for season two. The investigation will continue with eight all-new episodes in 2018, exclusively on Netflix.
“American Vandal” co-creators/executive producers Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, as well as showrunner/executive producer Dan Lagana, are slated to return.
The first season was brilliantly done, so we absolutely can’t wait to see what this creative bunch will have in-store for season two!
About American Vandal

The idea of a “fall TV season” feels particularly antiquated in 2017, as two of the year’s buzziest series (“Game of Thrones” and “Twin Peaks”) have already wrapped for the year. Fall may even be a bit of an afterthought now compared to spring, as networks aim to catch Emmy voters with prestige TV premieres when campaign season gets underway.
And yet, there’s nearly 70 years of tradition with the fall TV season. It’s when Nielsen still resets the calendar for the new TV year; when blue chip advertisers like the automotive sector roll out their own new wares; football season returns (don’t discount that huge impact on TV schedules); and the weather gets chilly, which conceivably means more viewers watching TV indoors.
This year, they’ll find a lot of familiar titles on broadcast TV, including the return of NBC’s “Will & Grace”; a prequel to “The Big Bang Theory,...
