Spoiler alert! If you haven’t watched season 2, episode 6 of “And Just Like That”, proceed with caution.
A bomb cyclone storm, a condom scavenger hunt, two emotional breakups, and one crucial email dominated Thursday’s episode of the “Sex and the City” Max reboot, “And Just Like That”.
Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) proved she’s still working girl goals as she kicked off the episode rearranging her laptop in the perfect configuration for a Zoom interview only to have the interviewer ask her favorite lip color when she was trying to discuss her new memoir about the death of her husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Thankfully the computer “literally leapt to its death” so she could get out of that nightmare.
At a girls night dinner with Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) and Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman), the subject of Carrie’s past loves comes up.

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen season 2, episode 4 of “And Just Like That”, proceed with caution.
Is “And Just Like That” finally hitting its stride? The “Sex and the City” reboot is four episodes into its sophomore season, and Thursday’s episode proved to be its best yet.
With Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) back in New York City, the original gang, including Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis), and honorary member Anthony Marantino (Mario Cantone), is able to meet up for lunch for some gossip and dirty talk, just like the old days.
There are quips about Miranda’s new fluid lifestyle with Anthony calling her “Rachel Maddow.” There are not-so-subtle euphemisms on Charlotte’s part — mayo, confetti, and a finale of fireworks (Happy July 4th!), no less — and at the heart of it, there’s the friendships fans of the original “Sex and the City...

Nearly eight months have gone by since we heard that Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane) was set to star in the sci-fi thriller Ursa Major with Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) – but now Deadline has revealed that Winstead had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Taking over the role that had previously been assigned to Winstead is Jessica Biel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003).
Twin brother directors Jonathan and Josh Baker are at the helm of Ursa Major, working from a screenplay written by Colleen O’Brien, Katie French, and Station Eleven creator Patrick Somerville. That trio crafted the story of Charlie (Biel) and Natalie (Gomez), a mother and daughter pair of survivors trapped on a harsh Earth-like planet. As a deadly storm heads toward the planetoid, the duo avoids encroaching elements, crazed hunters, and more. While Natalie has always trusted her mother, she...

Jessica Biel (“The Sinner,” The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) has been set to star alongside Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Ursa Major, Deadline reports today.
The thriller hails from twin brother directors Jonathan and Josh Baker (Kin) and is scheduled to head into production this fall.
Ursa Major takes place “on an Earth-like planet, where a mother (Biel) and daughter (Gomez) fight for survival while hiding from a group of relentless hunters. With the added threat of an imminent and deadly storm, Natalie — now a teenager — begins questioning her mother, Charlie, about who they really are, how they got here, and what they need to do to survive.”
Based on that premise and the team behind it, it feels safe to assume there will be surprises and potential twists in store for the mother and daughter as they attempt to evade their pursuers.

Another week down, another slate of TV award nominations released, many from the entertainment industry’s guild organizations, which aim to celebrate the best craftspeople in their respective fields for their work behind-the-scenes.
The TV awards distributed during these events exist largely unstuck in time. While their film counterparts are all (pretty much) adhering to similar eligibility schedules, which typically run from January 1 through December 31 (though 2020 has seen more organizations extending the film eligibility period through February 28), there is no such unity on the TV side. Some organizations held fast to their January through December window, others opted to extend eligibility through February, as well. Still other groups had already altered their eligibility windows in 2019 to account for a disproportionately early Oscars ceremony, only to slam directly into a pandemic that would further turn schedules upside down.

Rowan Blanchard was about six months into her Vancouver-based shoot for Season 2 of TNT’s dystopian thriller “Snowpiercer” when Covid-19 struck North America.
“We were so close to finishing. They had two episodes left on Season 2 and they immediately sent everyone home,” says Rowan’s mother, Elizabeth Blanchard.
The sudden pivot from working nonstop to a complete shutdown of the biz came as somewhat of an emotional shock to Rowan. HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and Amazon Prime Video’s “Fleabag” may be dead and gone, but they are most certainly not forgotten — at least as far as the American Cinema Editors are concerned. The organization announced the Eddie Award winners for TV on Friday night, at a ceremony held at the International Ballroom in the Beverly Hilton, hosted by star of “The Good Place” D’Arcy Carden.

“Ford v Ferrari,” “The Irishman,” “Joker,” “Marriage Story” and “Parasite” have been nominated in the dramatic-film category at the American Cinema Editors’ Ace Eddie Awards, which honor the best in film editing.
In the comedy category, the nominees were “Dolemite Is My Name,” “The Farewell,” “Jojo Rabbit,” “Knives Out” and “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.”
The most notable omission was “1917,” which contains dozens of cuts but was designed to look as if it was filmed in one continuous, unbroken shot.

In recent years, more than 90 percent of the Oscar nominees in the Best Film Editing category have first been recognized by the American Cinema Editors. The majority of Oscar nominees have come from the Ace Eddie dramatic category – though for the last two years, the Academy has taken three nominees from the Ace Eddies’ comedy category and only two from the drama category.

The Peabody award-winning The Leftovers concludes on Sunday, June 4 and through its three seasons, the show has become just as acclaimed for its music as its incredible story, writing and acting.
While the HBO series is no stranger to change (season one's opening titles used an original piece by composer Max Richter, and season two used Iris DeMent's "Let the Mystery Be"), season three has gone even further, adapting the theme song to each episode. "[It was showrunner] Damon Lindelof's decision," music supervisor Liza Richardson tells Et by phone, adding that the music choices on the series vary between her and Lindelof's allegiance to certain artists, love of repetition and the desire to "surprise."
Exclusive: Damon Lindelof on Ending ‘Leftovers’ in the Wake of ‘Lost’
"Hopefully all the main title choices are all very surprising for the audience, whether you know the song or not," she says. And while title choices serve as an ode to that specific...

Directed by: Steven Soderbergh
Cast: Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne
Running Time: 1 hr 45 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: September 9, 2011
Plot: A woman (Paltrow) gets a new disease on a business trip and brings it back to the States. When it begins to spread, the entire world must react.
Who’S It For? It’s a drama that focuses on the technical aspects of an epidemic.
Expectations: I knew Soderbergh, Damon and Paltrow were involved, it was about an epidemic, and Paltrow probably wouldn’t last very long in the film. I also knew there were some other big names involved. That’s it. I assumed Soderbergh wouldn’t bother with simply remaking Outbreak.
Scorecard (0-10)

Matt Damon as Mitch Emhoff: If you need an emotional connection to a “disease is killing the world movie,” he is it. Mitch’s wife and step son...
