Sofia Vergara probably won’t be joining Simon Cowell on stage again any time soon. The actress was traumatizingly duped by her “America’s Got Talent” co-host on Tuesday, made to think that she genuinely shot him with a crossbow.
During the show, “AGT” saw the return of Ryan Stock & Amberlynn, the infamous duo that had their “comedy danger act” go wrong live in Season 11. In a stunt where Amberlynn was meant to hit a target in Stock’s mouth with a flaming arrow, she missed the shot and struck Stock in the throat.
At that point, Vergara was not yet a judge on the show, but noted that she had “heard the stories” about them. When asked by Simon why they had returned to the show, the duo answered that they’d “been working on the crossbow act” to get it right, and added that they’re now “doing scarier things.

All week long “America’s Got Talent” has been teasing a danger act gone wrong, and we finally saw what all the fuss was about at the end of the June 22 episode. As it turns out, Simon Cowell had an epic prank in store for Sofia Vergara, and it required the help of former contestants Ryan Stock and Amberlynn, who went viral in Season 11 when she accidentally shot him in the neck with a flaming arrow. Simon met with the danger artists in secret and then pretended to be surprised when they stepped out on stage for their “audition.” Watch the video above.
“We know them. What are they doing here?” a confused Heidi Klum asked Howie Mandel when they first caught sight of the couple. Simon just shrugged.

Ryan Stock and AmberLynn Walker made the America's Got Talent judges gasp in the wrong way after a stunt went wrong.
During a live performance on the reality competition show, the Canadian stuntman was shot in the throat by a flaming arrow. Walker was aiming to hit a small target attached to a long rod Stock had swallowed, but shot too low.
Stock blamed the mishap on an equipment error, writing on his Facebook page: "This was not Amber's aim that was the problem. Her laser sight was on target. It appears as though the notch holding the arrow broke and sent the arrow sideways.
