Your childhood is about to be ruined (in the best way possible), so get ready for that. If you've ever wondered what High School Musical would look like all grown up, there's a parody trailer you need to see. YouTuber ElleOfTheMills created an epic mashup of 50 Shades of Grey and HSM, and, as one Twitter user put it, "The innocence of HSM is officially gone." Yep! That's pretty accurate. Zac Efron aka Troy Bolton makes a pretty great Christian in If Troy Bolton Were Like Christian Grey. We still can't tell if this is kind of creepy, or actually perfect. We'll let you decide. The creator writes in her video caption, "Thought this video would be a funny concept as High School Musical and...

High School Musical just got the Bad Lip Reading treatment.
In an exclusive sneak peek at next Monday's special HSM-themed edition of Bad Lip Reading, Zac Efron's Troy Bolton (a.k.a. Chorkie) aren't so much getting their heads in the game as obsessing over bouncy balls.
"It's my bouncy ball! It's your bouncy ball!" sings Efron, Corbin Bleu and company. "Pretty little basketball."
In true, Bad Lip Reading fashion, the clip is a laugh-inducing spectacle.
Another clip previously released by Entertainment Weekly shows Efron and costar Vanessa Hudgens in a similarly hilarious misinterpretation of the 2006 hit's opening musical number.

See, Zac Efron isn't anti-High School Musical. The actor recently made headlines for some negative remarks he made about his character from the film. The Men's Fitness June 2016 cover star didn't seem to be the biggest fan of Troy Bolton (his character) telling the mag of his younger self, "I step back and look at myself and I still want to kick that guy's ass sometimes." He continued, "Like, f--k that guy. He's done some kind of cool things with some cool people—he did that one thing [Neighbors] that was funny—but, I mean, he's still just that f--king kid from [High School Musical]." Ouch. But Efron reassured fans that he didn't mean anything by it by...

Zac Efron stepped out on a golf course in Hawaii earlier this month, and he got so excited about the game, he threw in a fist pump or two. Once you see the photos, it's nearly impossible not to think of Zac's swoon-worthy days in High School Musical, specifically that iconic scene in HSM 2 where Troy Bolton dances and sings "Bet on It" on a golf course at a fancy country club. Zac's been in Hawaii filming Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, but in his free time, he's been hiking with Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, spending quality time with girlfriend Sami Miró, and now, channeling HSM - even if it wasn't necessarily intentional. Come on, though: keep reading to look at the pictures, plus GIFs from the scene in question, and tell us you don't see it. Then, watch the full video at the end, because you know...

Or, as it were, Troy Bolton, Zac's singing and jazz hands-ing alter ego from High School Musical, can. This bizarro Disney mash-up takes Zac Efron's performance of "Bet On It" from HSM 2 and pairs it with "Let It Go" from Frozen. It matches up pretty well. Almost too well to be coincidence: Sure, some of the words don't exactly line up, but he hits all the emotional beats. Weird. Zac Efron is known for his role as Troy Bolton in High School Musical back in 2006, but the first blip on our crush-worthy radar happened when he was just a gap-toothed 17-year-old on The WB's Summerland in 2004. High School Musical star says reunion movie is a possibility: 'we're all thinking about it'
Zac Efron would be keen on a High School Musical reunion, despite having forged a career in rather more grown up fare in recent years, the actor has said.

Moviegoing took a back seat to American football as Kate Winslet and Zac Efron films failed to ignite the Us box office

Life stops when it's Super Bowl
There's really only one show in town come Super Bowl Sunday, which is why the weekend session is traditionally a slow one. As fans across the country settled in to watch the Seahawks clobber the Broncos, moviegoing took a back seat.
The top 12 pictures combined for an anaemic $72.4m (£44.2m), which actually gained around 5% on the same session last year, when the top 12 produced $68.9m.
Regular service should be restored next weekend, when families are expected to rush in to see The Lego Movie and teens may well flock to Vampire Academy.

It’s not too often that we find ourselves with a really great R-rated comedy, which is why I have high hopes for That Awkward Moment. Hitting theatres on January 31st, the film features three of Hollywood’s hottest young actors: Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, as they attempt to navigate the daunting NYC social scene, which of course leads to a lot of embarrassment and a lot of laughs.
Today, a new promotional video for the film was released that provides viewers with instructions on how not to run into any awkward moments this Holiday season. It’s a humours and slightly racy piece of marketing material that is worth a watch for those anticipating the movie, like myself.

It is entirely possible, wholly feasible, and ridiculously strange that chubby-cheeked tweens who first became aware of Vanessa Hudgens thanks to the wholesome charms of the High School Musical franchise are now able to catch her burning up the big screen in any one of her numerous wannabe-gritty new roles. Children (children! Actual children!) that first saw her dancing across their television screens as a fresh-faced Disney high schooler can now purchase tickets to see her going gritty in a big way at their local multiplex. (This, of course, assumes that your local multiplex is playing Harmony Korine films, which does sound sort of cool.) The first High School Musical hit the small screen back in 2006, a Disney Channel production filled with new talents (Zac Efron), poppy songs, and a saccarhine love story. Hudgens starred as new girl in school Gabriella Montez, a smarty pants sweetheart who had spent her entire childhood moving around and was thrilled...

It’s Zac Efron’s birthday today! The “High School Musical” star turns 26 -- and the former teen idol has definitely grown up in front of our very eyes. The California native started his career at age 14, booking a small part on the cult TV show “Firefly.” By 18, Zac's popularity exploded thanks to his role as Troy Bolton in "HSM," alongside fellow Disney stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu. He then landed leading roles in “17 Again,” “The Lucky One,” and “The Paperboy.” Despite all the success, Zac recently completed two stints in rehab for an alleged cocaine addiction earlier this year. He's been seen out since looking happy and healthy -- we’re rooting for you, Zac!A few of his former Wildcat costars have been in the news recently: Vanessa went wild in "Spring Breakers," Ashley just got engaged and Corbin is currently on "Dancing with the Stars.

Check out the highly Nsfw trailer for Zac’s new bro-comedy, then tell us: Will you checking him — I mean, it — out?
That Awkward Moment is a movie about two friends (Zac Efron and Miles Teller) who vow to remain single in a show of solidarity for their recently-dumped roommate (Michael B. Jordan). But all you really need to know if that the trailer finds Zac in various states of undress, including a shot of the erstwhile Troy Bolton laying horizontally across a toilet. Yeah, it’s just as awkward as it sounds.
In keeping with the film’s title, there’s an even more awkward scene in the trailer, one that includes Zac accidentally dipping his strap-on dildo in his girlfriend’s parents’ martini glass. That’s all I’ll say.
That Awkward Moment hits theaters in Jan. 2014.

Zac Efron seemed to have it all. After he shot to fame at age 17 after starring as squeaky-clean basketball star Troy Bolton on Disney Channel's High School Musical franchise, it appeared the heartthrob had avoided the pitfalls of youthful stardom. But after it was revealed Monday that Efron, now 25, had checked into rehab earlier this year, sources tell People the seemingly straight-arrow actor - who has never run into trouble with the law and has a sterling reputation as a professional on set - partied much harder than his public image let on. "He surrounds himself with a group that enjoys partying,...

It must have been terribly difficult for Joe Jonas to rank former Disney stars Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus on Watch What Happens Live on July 23. Why? Because there are so many we love! From the early Mouseketeer days (i.e. Britney Spears) to those classic sitcoms (i.e. Lizzie McGuire), we’re going down memory lane — and we want you to pick your favorite former Disney girl of all time.
Favorite Former Disney Girls
Ashley Tisdale: She played the cute candy counter girl, Maddie Fitzpatrick, on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and then the sassy Sharpay in the High School Musical movies. Today, Ashley is moving forward with more movies — but she’s staying true to her Disney roots by voicing a character on Phineas and Ferb!

Despite having just ten released film credits to her name, Vanessa Hudgens is a name known both throughout the industry and the world.
Without a doubt, the trilogy of High School Musical films are a big part of why her name is so well known. She made her feature debut with a small role in Catherine Hardwicke and Nikki Reed’s Thirteen, and went on to star in the failed 2004 Thunderbirds movie. But it was 2006’s High School Musical that really launched her career.
She took the female lead of Gabriella Montez, opposite Zac Efron’s Troy Bolton, and the rest is history. Within the next two years, there would be a further two High School Musical films, cementing Hudgens’ status as a bankable icon for Disney.
But being a bankable icon of the High School Musical variety like that naturally has its downsides. For whatever reason, there will always...

My, my: Troy Bolton's come a long way since high school! Erstwhile High School Musical star Zac Efron is all grown up now, and if you've still got lingering doubts about that, then just check out his 2012 slate, which solidified his transformation into a serious leading man tackling serious fare. Zac Efron channels James Dean for new denim line This past spring, he poured on the beefcake charm in the romantic drama The Lucky One, and then a month later took Cannes by storm in the Florida-set death-row thriller The Paperboy, in which he memorably pees on Nicole Kidman. (Context, people!) And if you still need proof that Zac's in a whole new league now, we've got one word for you:...

A lot can happen in a decade, especially for an actor. Harrison Ford appeared in "A Time for Killing," his first credited screen role, in 1967 and became Han Solo in 1977. Halle Berry made her film debut in "Jungle Fever" in 1991 and by 2001 was starring in "Monster's Ball," for which she earned an Academy Award.
This year Zac Efron celebrates 10 years in Hollywood, and as he prepares to release his new romantic drama, "The Lucky One," we can look back on his career to see just how fortunate he's been. Though he's most famous for singing and dancing in three "High School Musical" movies and "Hairspray," this heartthrob first found work in the geekiest place imaginable: Joss Whedon's "Firefly."
A young Efron honed his abilities on stage in local productions of "Peter Pan" and "Little Shop of Horrors" in Arroyo Grande, California, where he lived a "normal childhood in a middle class family.

We are still fanning ourselves after watching this hilarious interview in which a pair of Australian reporters ask Zac Efron to demonstrate how he can unhook a bra with one hand. (This somehow has something to do with The Lucky One, we think.) For some reason, this is the moment in which we realize our little Troy Bolton is all growed up. And very talented. Come to think of it, Zac could probably do a nice video podcast series teaching all the men of the world some of his other useful skills, such as:
How to drop a condom on the red carpet of a children’s movie and still come off as adorable, not at all creepy. How to “getcha” head in the game: as in, play basketball, dance, lipsynch and toss your Bieber bangs (before they Were Bieber bangs) out of your eyes all at once. How to play catch with a ghost.

The two young stars reportedly arrived at the venue together in Zac's Audi, and shared an outdoor table at the corner. An onlooker from the spot told Us Weekly that the "The Lorax" co-stars shared a flirty night, and "were deep in conversation and very giggly."

It's raining men! Hallelujah.
The oldest of this year's MTV Movie Awards nominees for Best Male Performance is 25 (welcome to senior-citizen status, Robert Pattinson). But these actors are anything but immature.
And if you think playing a vampire, a werewolf, a wizard, a computer genius or a grieving big brother is easy, then you don't know anything about the following five young men.
Daniel Radcliffe, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1'
Radcliffe started the "Harry Potter" series as a boy wizard, but in "Deathly Hallows," he's well on the path to becoming a man.
