Recruited into their company, Setsuko (Christina Yr. Lim) welcomes her fiance Rommel Romero (Jack Macapagal) into the environmental protection agent P.H.A.S.E., a special project designed to protect the world from a race of monsters known as Yablo. Along with the other members of the organization, April (Dana Jamison), Richard (Andrew Reiley), Benito (Leonard Olaer), Wonder (April Rose Estoy), and Miranda (Jessica Neistadt), they set out to ensure the world is safe from the creatures and to document what they can about them for future generations to know about. As they go about their work, they discover a terrifying, ancient Yablo called Nameless has arrived to return the creatures to their home dimension which would spell the end of humanity if it goes to plan, forcing the team and the monsters they protect to band together to save the world.

I was going to write about comics again this week; I usually do, and I’ve got all sorts of notes on a topic that can wait a week or two. ComicMix purports to proselytize about geek culture – or, as my fellow wordsmith Ed Catto calls it, “Geek Culture” – for the broader comic book fan audience. Glenn Hauman calls us the pop culture Huffington Post. I call us the Huffington Post from hell.
There’s nothing geekier than monsters, and our culture has sported quite a few real monsters. In this regard, perhaps you think of Hitler. He’s our go-to real life monster, a paranoid drug addict who earned his place as the 20th Century’s greatest metaphor. Maybe you think of Stalin, who was quite the monster even before he sided with Hitler, which was before he opposed Hitler.
No, today I wish to talk about the Greatest American Monster,...

Dana Ivgy and Liron Ben-Shlush in Next To Her
Dana Ivgy is eating croissants; it’s a busy morning and she’s squeezing in breakfast whilst she can, so I thank her for finding the time to talk. She’s in London to promote Israeli drama Next To Her, which is out this week and which tells the story of two sisters bound together by the fact that one of them has a learning disorder and the other provides her with care. The film is an intense, no-holds-barred look at the complexities of the carer relationship and it demands a lot of Dana, who plays the cared-for sister, Gabby. I ask her what first attracted her to the role.
“It’s a long answer,” she warns me, setting breakfast aside for the meantime. “The director, Asaf [Korman], and Liron [Ben-Shlush, who plays sister Rachel] are both my best friends so I was there from the start...

Ronda Rousey continues to be linked to the world of the WWE. This past Monday on Raw, her name was brought up once more in a segment with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, in which they appeared back stage with the cast of Entourage, in which Rousey appears. When Rousey’s name was brought up, the actors talked about Rousey’s arm bar prowess, and it was pointed out that Steph had been at Rousey’s mercy – something that did not sit well with The Authority heads.
Well, there’s likely an end game here to the WWE continually linking Rousey’s name to their product, and that goes beyond a simple film promotion. They very much want the Ufc champion back for WrestleMania 32, and now Rousey, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, may have let a key plot point slip: mainly, that Dana White’s...

If you miss hearing this every Sunday night before being engulfed in all the scandalous drama of Wisteria Lane, join the club. This month marks the 10-year anniversary of the Desperate Housewives premiere, one of the sexiest, most iconic guilty pleasures in TV history. VH1 reminisced with America’s dream husband Mike Delfino (James Denton) and lovable loon Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) about the series and what made it so juicy, on and off set.
Delany (Hand of God, The Comedians) and Denton reveal who was the biggest ladies’ man on set (was it Jesse Metcalfe or Josh Henderson?) and scenes they shot that were too naughty to air. It’s clear they just as much fun shooting with the cast — Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross — as we did watching. Until our prayers of a Desperate Housewives reboot are answered, here are some things about the...

The cameras are already rolling on Entourage creator Doug Ellin’s cinematic version of his Hollywood comedy drama, which is making the jump from HBO to the big screen with the whole gang back for more. And, like some terrifying talent tornado, it’s continuing to hoover up actors, with Haley Joel Osment the latest to sign aboard.Entourage, of course, charts the shifting fortunes of wannabe actor-turned-star Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier) and the assembled friends, agents and hangers-on who orbit around his solar centre. The rest of the TV regulars, including Jeremy Piven’s loud-mouthed agent Ari Gold, Kevin Connolly’s dedicated pal/manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon’s dim-but-doting older brother Johnny “Drama” Chase and Jerry Ferrara’s dogsbody/mogul Turtle are all appearing again, along with Perrey Reeves as Ari’s wife Melissa and Constance Zimmer as studio boss Dana Gordon.Slowly but surely we’ve...

Constance Zimmer is going back to "Entourage" for the movie version, reprising her role as film executive Dana Gordon.
Zimmer confirmed the news to E! Online, saying that she had only just closed the deal to return to her old role. "Dana Gordon is a part that I have lived and played for so long, and I think the fact that we get to see it up on the big screen is kind of terrifying," Zimmer says. Having played the Dana Gordon character from 2005 to 2011, Zimmer has since moved on to "House of Cards." She plays reporter Janine Skorsky in the Netflix drama series.

If last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live were an edition of The Hunger Games, then host Josh Hutcherson would have been one of those poor kids who dies in the melee outside the Cornucopia — just minutes after the Games begin.

Quite the opposite is true: he had the sort of on-camera ease that any first-time host would envy, never visibly suffering from nerves or being too obvious about reading cue cards. It's hard to believe that 25 years have passed since the debut of China Beach, in which Emmy winner Dana Delany made a huge impact on the small screen as Army nurse Colleen McMurphy, a complicated character experiencing the physical and emotional horrors of the Vietnam War firsthand and elbow deep. With the complete series now available in a DVD box set just in time for its silver anniversary, Dana takes a stroll down memory lane with ETonline to talk about the show's impact, how the defining role that initially daunted her eventually changed her life -- and how she almost lost the part to Helen Hunt.

Seattle Grace has been riddled with anxiety and friction since Dr. Alana Cahill arrived. The consultant -- played by "Grey's Anatomy" guest star Constance Zimmer -- has been working on trimming the fat in order to get the hospital running efficiently.
Last week, Dr. Cahill closed down the ER, but it looks like that's just the tip of the iceberg. At the end of the most recent episode of "Grey's Anatomy," she dropped quite the bomb: Seattle Grace is up for sale in the wake of the plane crash survivors' settlement, which leaves the hospital responsible for $15 million per survivor.

Constance Zimmer is aware of the similarities between her beloved role on Entourage, as studio executive Dana Gordon, and her latest role on Grey's Anatomy, as Dr. Alana Cahill, the woman tasked with saving Seattle Grace from bankruptcy.
Both are strong, tough, business-oriented woman - but Zimmer told me this week that she doesn't seek out such characters.
"They seek me out," she said, adding that she was hesitant to sign on for such a like-minded individual, but "Grey's Anatomy gave me a good arc. There's a specific beginning, middle and end and everyone will see a softer side [to Alana] once I leave the hospital."
So far, of course, the side most viewers have witnessed is hard and calculating. We ended "Bad Blood" with the surprise that Dr. Cahill has been priming to sell Seattle Grace.
And we kick off tonight with a host of potential buyers walking the walls.

Grey’s Anatomy aired "Walking on a Dream this week, an episode that brought a new face to the hospital, while also offering a setback for Arizona - along with a big step forward for Mer. Let’s discuss, shall we?
Phantom Limbs. Arizona has been dealing with Phantom Limb Syndrome, something that makes you feel pain in an amputated limb. Can you imagine? Not only was she in a plane crash, but she lost her leg and now she is feeling pain in something that is not even there?!? Luckily, she has Owen to help her.
It was seriously enjoyable to see Owen in an arc that wasn’t related to Yang. Although I am a fan of the Cristina/Owen ship, it’s still important that they have their own stories. Kevin McKidd was great in this one. Even better? Jessica Capshaw. She has been playing this character amazingly since the plane crash.

Should Cristina be worried? I think so! There is a new girl working at Owen’s side and they seem to be spending an awful lot of time together.
Actress Constance Zimmer kicks off her Grey’s Anatomy guest arc on Thursday, Jan. 24th. In these revealing new photos from that upcoming episode, she sure does seem to be attached to the hip with Owen.
The new installment of ABC’s medical soap is called “Walking on a Dream.” It marks season 9, episode 12. What can you expect? This comes from the official synopsis: “The Seattle Grace doctors are on edge when a new medical professional” haunts the halls. Yes, that’s Owen’s new shadow. A medical professional? How mysterious.
Speaking of Cristina, there are a couple of shots in the batch of her and Meredith together. They do look slightly concerned about something, don’t they? I’m inclined...

Actress Constance Zimmer was Dana Gordon on HBO’s Entourage, but there’s a nice hospital gig in her future. Zimmer is coming to Grey’s Anatomy as a possible love interest for one of Seattle Grace’s own.
Zimmer’s role will be a recurring one, TVLine announced. The actress will bring to life Dr. Cahill, a gutsy, smart gal with razor sharp wit.
Speculation is growing that the spitfire Dr. Cahill might be the mysterious new love interest that series creator Shonda Rhimes said was finally coming for the character of Alex. Acted by Justin Chambers, Alex hasn’t had much luck in love.
“We’re going to watch Alex really grow up and step up this season,” Rhimes said, “and find real love with somebody who doesn’t leave him for once.”
Zimmer’s other television spots have included gigs on Royal Pains, Boston Legal and The New Normal.

If we’ve accepted, years later, that the world will never see another Sopranos, another Sex and the City, another Lost—hell, not even another Entourage—the TV landmarks of 2012 are the shows that stopped the focus on the past. When the brilliant dangers of Homeland arrived to shore, American Horror Story twisted fiction on its head, and Girls became twee-ly epic in all its polarizing mediocrity, they spearheaded a league of new series that took watercooler debate and discussion back to the main stage, making us fall in love with the small screen all over again. Even if the freshmen had to rival the brutal trials of Breaking Bad and the long-awaited return of Donald Draper’s Mad Men, they’re still responsible for forging new ground, reimaging and reinventing the ways we can be shocked, awed, challenged, gripped, enamored, and moved by television.

Behind the wisteria lurk the secrets, affairs and lies one admits only to closest friends. Through marriages, divorces, births, deaths -- accidental and intentional -- illnesses, triumphs, children and crimes, one bond remains indestructible: the women's friendship.
ABC's "Desperate Housewives" comes to what will undoubtedly be an over-the-top two-hour finale Sunday, May 13. Even as the actresses head into their final weeks after eight seasons, they don't know what will happen, but they respect creator Marc Cherry's cloak of secrecy. Three of the four original housewives -- Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria (Teri Hatcher declined to participate) -- and Vanessa Williams, who joined two years ago, reflect on the show in long, separate interviews with Zap2it.
Felicity Huffman as Lynette
She's the housewife most women relate to. She loves her husband and kids, but they drive her crazy. She's had jobs, but taking care of her family trumped career.
