In the ’90s, NBC was the home of “Must See TV.” But before the heyday of Seinfeld, Friends, and Frasier, the network had a hit comedy in Night Court. The 1984 sitcom featured an ensemble cast of characters working the night shift at Manhattan Criminal Court. With the 2023 reboot now on NBC and Peacock, it’s the perfect time to look back at which original Night Court cast members are still alive.

Night Court followed various characters throughout its nine-season run. But throughout, Harry Anderson’s Judge Harold “Harry” T. Stone remained the anchor keeping the comedy on course. As the youngest serving judge, Harry is an idealist, amateur magician, and Mel Tormé enthusiast determined to make the most of his less-than-popular post in night court.

Back to school! Tyra Banks visited Boston over the weekend for a Harvard Business School reunion. While in Beantown, the model mogul brunched with a girlfriend at Towne Stove and Spirits in the Back Bay. Later that day, the America's Next Top Model creator shared a fun photo of herself and a friend posing in front of Boston Library. #HBSReunion was at Boston Library. Cold outside but not cold enough for quick fierce pic w/Friend n' Fountain. twitter.com/tyrabanks/stat…— Tyra Banks (@tyrabanks) October 14, 2012 "Harvard Business School cookies were passed out at my reunion. Here we are, "America's Next Top Model" fans! Not only is our favorite ridiculous reality show back, but there are Brits! Cheerio, guvna! Based on the pictures they released pre-show, we think the UK girls have a huge advantage over the Us girls.
During intros, here's what stood out:
We love the androgynous girl, Azmarie. She comes across way better in person than she did in her still photo. Sophie says the dictionary is from Oxford, which is where she's from. We are confident she has a huge vocabulary and mastery of the English language. Annaliese says the Us is "not ready for the British invasion. We did it once, we can do it again." Do you suppose she means the Beatles? Because we whipped your butts in the Revolutionary War, thanks. We meet Laura, the bisexual, who has designs on Azmarie the lesbian. Then there's Ashley, who is Scottish,...

First coined by sociologist Robert Merton, the self-fulfilling prophecy is a concept that involves expectations forming reality. If one chooses to define their situation a certain way, the reality of their definition will eventually come to fruition, which is often a fairly negative ordeal.
In a nutshell, if you think something will be awful, chances are it'll be awful, which can easily transfer to television.
When I first saw that the title of Sunday's episode of The Amazing Race was "This is Gonna Be a Fine Mess", I had to laugh because, like America's Next Top Model last season, the show was just taunting me. It's been a lackluster season of the race, characterized by lame challenges, static running order plagued by time equalizers, and a lack of charismatic, root-able teams in which to invest in. If you're going to title your episode something about a "fine mess", you're just asking for it,...

America’s Next Top Model has been putting a lot of weight on the impending winner of Cycle 15 because, this time, she’s not just a winner of a reality modeling show... she's the future of the modeling world. So says Tyra anyway.
But it's true that the prizes at stake are much more serious this season, and perhaps the winner will actually find the sort of success previous champions have not.
With that in mind, the finale seemed more harried and perfunctory than in previous seasons; I thought it had too many components and it was just a giant race to the finish. Let’s break it down, shall we?
The Photoshoot
Finally, Chelsey and Ann shoot their future cover for Vogue Italia, and who should greet them but Valentina Serra, who by the way, sounds like she’s mimicking an Italian accent. It sounds so strangely exaggerated.

Once "America's Next Top Model" hits their international destination, the competition can come down to who's not progressing enough. In Liz Williams' case, it seemed her M.O. for making excuses finally got her booted. But, according to the mom from Arlington, Texas, that was all in the editing.
"That was a misprint right there, because all the girls did their share of complaining for sure," she tells Zap2it. But it's the way it's edited... They just show our frustrating moments or when we're under pressure, so that's kind of sad. But I know I have lots of years ahead of me to show people I am a different person."
We gave Liz 5 questions to plead her case:
1.) Do you think that being called a complainer on the show is something you will have to live down for a while? No, because everyone that knows me knows I'm...

It was a quick trip abroad for Liz Williams, but certainly a memorable one. This week on America's Next Top Model, the six remaining model-testants traveled to Italy, where they got gussied up in a gondola for their photo shoot and then forced to wear winter wool ensembles in 100-degree heat, ostensibly just because Tyra said so.
For Liz, the 21-year-old mother from Arlington, Texas, judging got heated in more ways than one, as she got the boot after her final shot failed to impress. Turns out that bird who pooped on her arm when they got to Milan really was an omen of sorts.
I chatted with Liz yesterday afternoon about her experience on America's Next Top Model, including her portrayal as a "complainer" throughout the season. Here's her take:...

America's Next Top Model star Liz Williams has said that she was "disappointed" to be perceived as complaining on the show. The suggestion was made by other contestants on last night’s episode of The CW show, which saw the 21-year-old from Arlington, TX become the ninth girl to leave the competition. In an interview with Digital Spy, she said: "[They said], 'Oh Liz complains, Liz complains', but really I have three jobs and work my butt off! "It doesn't look like that on TV so I was just really disappointed that that is how it came across. I'm definitely going to work on that and keep my mouth shut when I need to!" This week's marked the show's third trip to Italy (Cycle 2 went to Milan; Cycle 10 went to Rome), as the remaining six girls went to Venice, leaving behind their house in Venice Beach, California (wonder if that was on purpose?).
The contestant get a chance to take in some sights and eat lunch at quaint café, while lodging in a gorgeous boutique hotel with a stunning view of the canals, before they are sent to their next photo shoot.
Jay Manuel arrives in a gondola to explain the layout of their shoot, with the picturesque Rialto Bridge as their backdrop. The girls are to participate in a period editorial with a Casanova theme, vying for Casanova’s attention while lounging on a gondola.

Liz has become the ninth girl to be eliminated from America's Next Top Model. The 21-year-old from Arlington, TX was cut from the competition on Wednesday night's episode after failing to shine in a Casanova-inspired group shot in Venice, Italy. Tyra said that, although the judges loved her look and she took great pictures, they were becoming concerned that she made too many excuses. The episode opened as Miss J surprised the remaining six models at their beach house. He told them to get their shoes because he was taking them to explore Venice Beach - on bike! They stopped at a bridge and watched as a gondola appeared on the canal carrying Tyra! "I told him to take me to Venice!" she shouted. "Take me to Venice, Italy now! We are going to Italy!" After arriving in Europe, the models met with Mr Jay for their first task - a high-fashion,...

As the weeks go by on "America's Next Top Model," the contestants' faults are smizing harder than they are. On Wednesday's (Nov. 3) episode, Liz and her constant whining were the first to be sent home from Italy.
We're pretty sure that not only was the panel turned off by her hoochie stance on that gondola in the photo shoot, but also when she cut them off to tell them it was hard to balance standing there. It's your job to make it look effortless, Andre Leon Talley's "oh, no she didn't" look seemed to say.
Liz wasn't alone with her issues. All the other girls are carrying their own, as well.
Sure, they're human and everyone has problems, but not everyone is on national TV trying to be a top model. And these are things that could potentially send them home.
Chris: She thinks she knows everything and let's face it,...

"America's Next Top Model" tested the model hopefuls for personality on Wednesday night's episode and Tyra Banks declared that Esther was found wanting. She said that Esther was a beautiful, curvy model, but she wasn't right for commercials. Now "The Insider" talks to the 18-year-old from Boston, Ma, who was also criticized for having large breasts, and she revealed what a professional model said to her about having a reduction. "The Insider": How hard was it to get this far and then to be sent home because Tyra said the judges felt you didn't show your personality enough? Esther: It is hard, but it is hard for every girl who goes home. I went in thinking I would be one of the first two to go. I went in thinking, "It is really cool that I made it this far. I am really proud of myself. But let’s be real.

Esther has become the latest girl to be eliminated on America's Next Top Model. The 18-year-old from Boston, Massachusetts was sent home from The CW competition on Wednesday night after the judges failed to see a spark in her Zac Posen runway show challenge and a later rollerskating commercial. Tyra said she was "proud" of Esther's achievements on the show and said she set an "amazing example" for young girls with her curves, suggesting that she should go home and work on the feedback she was given by the judges. The episode opened as the girls recounted the previous elimination. Liz said that she felt great to have broken Ann's top photo streak, while Ann admitted that it was a "disappointment" that she didn't get it, although added that she wasn't afraid of going home but knew everybody else had been improving. The top models were separated from the pack on Wednesday's Oct. 27 episode of "America's Next Top Model," in which Tyra Banks put the girls on skates and we watched some of them fall right into the bottom of the heap.
It's really anyone's contest at this point. Ann, with her 5-photo challenge-winning streak broken, has continued to falter as speaking and moving are starting to take over the competition. She looked like a newly born deer walking on wobbly legs in the Zac Posen runway show.
Then when Ann had to strap on roller skates for a commercial challenge, her fear got the better of her and she skated right into this week's bottom two with Esther. Ouch, that fall must have hurt! We weren't referring to her actual fall, though that looked painful too.
Chris, who has no problem in the confidence department, took the top spot this week.

"America's Next Top Model"'s self-proclaimed country girl Kendal may have been born a model, but according to Tyra Banks she wasn't "modeling." And Jay Manuel called the 23-year-old from Alabama "flat and boring." Now "The Insider" talks to the ousted model hopeful about how she dealt with the harsh words and what is next. "The Insider": It seemed as if you had a feeling you might be going home because at one point you said you needed to step up your game. Were you worried about that? Kendal: I was. I would talk to the other girls and they were, "What did Miss J say to you?" They were like, "He said I did good." But every time I came on the set his critique would be horrible. I was, "I need to step up my game," because every time I came on a photo shoot he was harsh.

Kendal Brown has become the seventh girl to exit America's Next Top Model. The 23-year-old from Alabama was sent home on Wednesday night's episode of The CW competition after the panel thought she failed to spark in a photoshoot which saw the models dressing as iconic designers, with Tyra explaining that although she was a beautiful girl, the panel thought she needed more practice. The episode opened with the girls reflecting on the previous panel. Liz privately thought that although Ann had secured best photo for the fifth week in a row she might not have the personality necessary to succeed and thought she could do better. After five straight wins, the super-skinny, super tall force that is Ann was dethroned in Wednesday's Oct. 21 "America's Next Top Model."
There was quite a shift in power in this episode. Not only did Ann get dethroned, but also Kendal was eliminated. While she seemed to know she was on the chopping block after last week's showing, we're still a little surprised they let her go. After all, she really wasn't on our radar until the last episode. Of course, we've seen models before that were doing fine and then had that one stumble that they never quite recovered from.
And was this not the perfect challenge for Liz? She finally got to flaunt what Tyra Banks calls her "skill for androgyny." We think she finally got a shoot that fit her tranny good looks. Either way, she took one look at that Fabio-esque picture of John Galliano and...

So far in Cycle 15 of America’s Next Top Model, the show has upped the ante by bringing A-list guests such as Karolina Kurkova and, this week, Patrick Demarchelier, the famous photographer.
As Tyra continues to emphasize, this cycle is all about the high fashion... which was why it was a bit confusing when the models were led to Wal-Mart for their challenge, with Kacey, Esther, and Kayla winning CoverGirl Wal-Mart cosmetics after pitching makeup to a whole lot of tween girls. Granted, Esther did get a $1,000 shopping spree, but after some of the prizes (like Kacey’s gorgeous jewelry from last week), this felt a bit lackluster.
For the actual challenge, the girls were split into groups of three and familiarized themselves with CoverGirl products. As Nigel Barker greets them at Wal-Mart, Antm turns into a miniature CoverGirl commercial.

The 20-year-old from San Diego, CA was eliminated from The CW show's 15th cycle on Wednesday night's episode after falling into the bottom two alongside Liz. We're sure that there's plenty to learn about modeling from "America's Next Top Model," but there's also plenty of lessons we would say you shouldn't adopt.
In Wednesday's Sept. 29 episode, host Tyra Banks took the models up high and then underwater while attempting to teach them a lesson about a model's work ethic (which is much like what bad parents tell children - sit down and shut up).
Liz, who has been testing Mr. Jay Manuel's last nerve with her constant complaining, was in the bottom two this week. Mostly she was there, because she once again complained during the shoot that glittery eye makeup was running into her eyes, making it hard to keep them open. By the way, imagine tiny little ninja stars -- that's glitter! "Antm's" message? No one cares, Liz. Fight through the pain.
