ABC News and National Geographic presented a live special during the event from various locations in the United States called Eclipse Across America.

Ginger Zee has been on the go for a once-in-a-lifetime event, but she’s worried it may keep her from making it work on Tuesday morning.
The ABC chief meteorologist was on assignment in St. Louis, Missouri on Monday to watch the solar eclipse.
Ginger visited Southern Illinois University, where she was recorded as the sky went dark in Carbondale, Illinois.
The GMA personality had quite the reaction when she witnessed the eclipse in real-time, screaming, “No way!” during the event.
After watching the eclipse, Ginger said “I got tingles from my fingertips, right down my elbows into my knees … wow.”
But, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and shortly after she got to experience the solar eclipse in Illinois, it was back to the grind for Ginger.

Good Morning America personality Ginger Zee started off her Tuesday morning with some harsh criticism.
The 43-year-old was up and at ’em for her early-morning GMA segment and took some time to spread awareness about the rising cost of chocolate.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ginger shared a video from ABC News explaining how to enjoy a “Climate-Friendly Easter.”
Ginger added in her caption, “We have a story about chocolate prices soaring… I am planning to do one nice item from a local chocolatier to support a local business instead of overdoing the plastic wrapped, mass produced stuff for my boys. Also avoiding plastic wherever possible for the holiday.”
While Ginger only intended to spread awareness and share how she would be doing her part to help the environment with her post, one of her followers didn’t see it that way.

Ginger Zee just checked a half marathon off her bucket list, and although it was a major accomplishment for the GMA star, her husband showed her up with his humor.

The 43-year-old meteorologist put herself to the test physically and mentally as she completed the 11-mile run in 1.54 hours.
Ginger headed to Instagram following the race to share some videos and photos of the event and reflect on her achievement.
Her first slide was a video of her running over to her husband, Ben Aaron, and their sons to greet them as they held up signs to encourage her at her last mile.

Ginger Zee always looks for ways to save the environment, but her critics think she’s taken it a bit too far this time.
The Good Morning America chief meteorologist recently shared some information about the $26 billion industry that is Valentine’s Day.
Ginger uploaded an Instagram Reel ahead of the weekend, pointing out that despite its popularity, Valentine’s Day can be “heartbreaking for the planet.”
For starters, Ginger noted that imported roses and carnations from countries like Colombia add to shipping-related carbon dioxide emissions.
Instead of ordering flowers for loved ones this Valentine’s Day, Ginger suggested some alternatives.
Ginger recommended purchasing houseplants or starter seeds from a local small business to start a garden, making homemade, plastic-free, recyclable gifts and cards, or giving experiences as gifts rather than concrete items.

Ginger Zee is a beloved personality on Good Morning America, but that doesn’t mean she is immune from online criticism.
The GMA chief meteorologist’s job is to observe, study, and forecast the weather, but apparently, her critics think she also needs to adhere to their fashion recommendations.
Ginger recently uploaded some screenshots to X (formerly Twitter) from some of her denigrators who said she has “terrible” and “wrinkly” knees.
One of the screenshots depicted a comment from social media. In it, @czaita36 wrote, “While she may have nice legs she has horrible knees. They take away from her look.”
Another social media commenter said of Ginger’s gams, “Knees lookin a little wrinkly, loooonger fabric necessary.”
In response to one of the comments on social media, Ginger fired back, “Hahaha wrinkly knees. Y’all are reaching now!”

As part of a larger move by Walt Disney Co., all of the company’s New York properties are slated to move in 2025 to a building in downtown New York in a neighborhood known as Hudson Square. That will include some programs already ensconced in well known studios, such as “GMA” and “Live with Kelly and Mark.” The move isn’t scheduled to take place for some time, but staffers are already coming to grips with how it might affect the program’s standing in TV’s non-stop morning-news wars.
“‘Good Morning America’ is defined by the strength of our team in front of and behind the camera, quality of our reporting, and the long, trusted relationship with our viewers,” ABC News said in a statement. “Moving all ABC...

Frozen is returning as a podcast.
The hit Disney animated film is getting its own audio series from Disney Publishing Worldwide, ABC Audio and Walt Disney Animation Studios. It comes as the film is celebrating its 10th anniversary and as a third film is in the works.
Frozen: Forces of Nature will take place after Frozen 2 and before Frozen 3 and will introduce new characters including Queen Disa and Lord Wolfgang alongside Elsa and Anna.
The 12-part series will launch later this year and ABC News’ chief meteorologist Ginger Zee will be a voice presenter.
The series follows Queen Anna, who has a lot on her plate – there are visitors in her Kingdom, a friend in need, and even the Duke of Weselton’s nephew skulking around – so when the Spirits of Nature start acting up, she knows she has to solve the problem – and fast – before things get more out of control.

There may be another long “droughtlander” on the horizon. Outlander executive producer Maril Davis revealed that Outlander Season 8, its final season, has been delayed by the WGA writers strike. At the Outlander Season 7 world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Friday, June 9, in New York City, Davis revealed to the audience of cast, press, and fans that Outlander Season 8 had convened its writers room before the WGA writers strike began. It’s now on pause in solidarity with the WGA. The comment came during the Outlander Season 7 premiere panel, moderated by ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee. Knowing that Season 8 would be Outlander‘s last, Zee asked what kind of pressure that applies to Season 7 and the creative team. “I feel pressure for Season 8,” said Davis, while seated next to stars Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin. “I think the writers — and shout out to the writers,...

As the finale for season 31 of “Dancing with the Stars” approaches this Monday night on Disney+, the last four celebrities in the competition who are gunning for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy are Wayne Brady, Charli D’Amelio, Shangela, and Gabby Windey. Each of them have proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the ballroom throughout these past nine weeks. There’s a case to be made for any one of them to come out on top. However, the one who I think we should really keep an eye out for is Windey.
Throughout the show’s long history, four “Bachelorette” stars have competed for the Mirror Ball trophy. So far two of them have won. In 2019 Hannah Brown managed to prevail in a finale that also included Lauren Alaina (fourth place), Ally Brooke (third place), and Kel Mitchell (runner-up). Then in 2020 Kaitlyn Bristowe won in a finale...

When President Joe Biden visits Florida on Wednesday, he will be seeing for himself the destructive impact of Hurricane Ian, which has claimed more than 100 lives, wiped out entire neighborhoods and left questions of the timing of evacuation orders.
Before the storm made landfall, networks dispatched crews, and eventually their major anchors, but even as there was anticipation of a major disaster, correspondents on the ground reported with expressions of surprise at the ultimate scale, scope and intensity of the hurricane and its impact.
ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee, CBS News lead national correspondent David Begnaud, CNN chief climate correspondent Bill Weir, Fox Weather correspondent Robert Ray, NBC News correspondent Steve Patterson and The Weather Channel’s Stephanie Abrams separately shared their experiences covering Ian and the aftermath.
Most of them have a long track record of covering the storms — and some see Ian as unusual in its intensification...

“Dancing with the Stars” season 31 began on Monday night, September 19, 2022, after its fall 2021 season crowned Iman Shumpert the show’s first ever Mirror Ball champion to come from the world of basketball. There are no NBA stars in this year’s lineup of celebrity contestants — or any pro athletes, surprisingly — but the biggest change this year is where and how it’s airing. It has left its original home on ABC and is streaming live for the first time on Disney+. Scroll down for our minute-by-minute commentary in our live blog.

“Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough holds the record for the most championships among professional dancers. He won the Mirror Ball Trophy six times over the course of his run on the show. That’s even more remarkable when you consider that no other pro dancer on the show has ever won more than two. It’s unlikely that anyone will come close to that record before the show ultimately runs its course — whenever that will be — but this season there are multiple double winners who could finally achieve that elusive hat trick.

The women of “The View” had no kind words for U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker on Tuesday, mocking his most recent outlandish claims, about pollution.
This week, a video went viral of Walker at a campaign speech on Saturday. In it, he hypothesizes that China is responsible for the climate crisis and is contaminating the United States. “When China gets our good air, their bad air got to move,” Walker said, and claimed that that “bad air” then “moves over to our good air space.”
At that, Whoopi Golberg had to just sit in stunned silence for a moment over his logic. But Ana Navarro was ready to go with a quick snipe, saying “I don’t know where his good brain cells moved to.”
When Whoopi finally composed herself, she simply directed the topic to guest host Ginger Zee, asking if she could “please, please take it,” given...
