Jamie Foxx’s increasingly positive health updates have given him a reason to celebrate.
It’s been three months since his daughter, Corinne Fox, shared news of Foxx’s “medical complications,” which left him hospitalized, breaking the internet and causing many to send out tweets of prayer and concern for the Oscar winner.
However, a source recently told People that the last few months have seen a massive improvement in Foxx’s, 55, health, and he recently had a party to “celebrate being better.”

Safety may not be a Christmas movie as such, but it’s a film made for all the family to enjoy – and what’s more, it’s full of hope and optimism, and what’s more Christmassy than that? The film is launching this weekend on Disney+ and to mark the occasion we took part in a mega virtual junket, where we spoke to leading stars Jay Reeves, Corinne Fox as well as Hunter Sansone and newcomer Thaddeus J. Mixon II. We even had the chance to speak to those behind the lens, chatting to director Reginald Hudlin, with producer Mark Ciardi and the real-life man this entire project was based on, Ray-Ray McElrathbey. Be sure to watch both interviews in their entirety below as we discuss the project at length, and even speak to director Hudlin about his time collaborating with the late, great actor Chadwick Boseman when they worked together on Marshall.

In May of this year, ABC aired a special event called “Live in Front of a Studio Audience.” Focusing on the iconic sitcom work of one Mr. Norman Lear, the live event enlisted over a dozen notable actors to perform episodes of two of his hit shows, “All in the Family” — the episode “Henry’s Farewell” — and “The Jeffersons” — the episode “A Friend in Need.” Hosted by Lear and Jimmy Kimmel, and directed by 10-time Emmy Award winner James Burrows, the 90-minute prime-time event even saw Marla Gibbs reprise her role as the Jeffersons’ wise-cracking maid Florence Johnston.
Tonight, “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” returns for another round of live Norman Lear-centric re-creation, this time with an all-new cast performing an episode of “All in the Family,” alongside a performance of an episode of “Good Times.”

“Jaws,” the movie that did for sharks what “Psycho” did for showers, was rooted in the primal fear that drove its famous opening scene: the terror of having your body shredded by razory teeth and engulfed in a great white gullet. In its limb-shearing way, it caught the fear of getting sucked into a tiny (sharp) abyss. Yet part of the power of “Jaws” is that it was also an adventure drama of thrillingly wide-open space. The anxiety was dark and concentrated, the seascape enticing and vast.
But the movies made in the shadow of “Jaws” have tended to be waterlogged chamber thrillers. “Open Water,” released in 2003, was easily the most ingenious of them. It was like the opening scene of “Jaws” extended to 90 minutes — and amazingly, the director, Chris Kentis, sustained the tension. (I’m not sure why he didn’t sustain his career.) No other “Jaws” knockoff has been half as good.

Though the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual grants banquet was held at the same time as CNN’s second night of Democratic presidential debates, politically minded guests got their fix there in the ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire hotel when Arnold Schwarzenegger took several jabs at President Donald Trump.
Schwarzenegger kicked things off by recalling how HFPA journalists recently asked him to comment on the commander in chief. The “Terminator” star declined because, in his words, “I have nothing nice to say about the guy.”
The former California governor and “Celebrity Apprentice” host also denounced the idea that it’s possible to be a “self-made man,” (something that Trump has oft claimed to be) when one takes into account all the people it takes to becoming Mr. Universe or running a successful political campaign.

Jamie Foxx rang in his birthday with a little help from Katie Holmes.
The two celebrated the actor’s 50th birthday with a night out in Los Angeles on Wednesday, a source tells People. Foxx and Holmes — who have never confirmed their relationship — were seen arriving together at Paramount Pictures for his bash.
“They walked in together,” says the source. “They mostly mingled with other guests, and spent very little alone time. It was obvious that Jamie had a great birthday. Katie looked like she had fun as well. She looked gorgeous.”
