Emily Deschanel, Sam Trammell and Noma Dumezweni lead “ReEntry,” the first film from the production company PlotNaut, helmed by filmmakers Brendan Choisnet and Daniel Nayeri.
The sci-fi romance stars Deschanel as Elenore, a woman grappling the disappearance of her husband (Trammell), after he enlists in a scientific experiment run by Dumezweni’s character. But, a year later he returns, and she learns he’s from a parallel dimension. She soon has to decide whether to pursue the man who is 99% of the husband she married or wait for the return of the man she once knew.
Deschanel is best known for her 12-year run on the hit Fox series “Bones,” as well as the drama “Continue” and most recently Netflix’s “Devil in Ohio.” Likewise, Trammell starred for seven seasons on “True Blood,” as well as “Homeland” and “The Fault in Our Stars” and Dumezweni most recently starred in “The Little Mermaid,...

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) premiered this weekend to critical praise, being called “a fun, madcap, and insane ride” with “highly stylized” visuals and several excellent performances on its way to earning a 92% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Taking a cue from Deadpool’s record-breaking first outing, Birds of Prey features the fourth-wall smashing narration of its lead character along with a non-linear storyline, and functions as a spinoff of David Ayer’s 2016 antihero team-up film Suicide Squad with the return of Margot Robbie as former-psychiatrist-turned-Joker-devotee Harleen Quinzel and a minuscule cameo by at least one of her other teammates from Waller’s first incarnation of Task Force X.
Harley Quinn is also set to return, along with Amanda Waller, Rick Flag and Digger Harkness, in James Gunn’s official standalone sequel The Suicide Squad in August of 2021, but Birds of Prey director Cathy Yan...

Gotham recently wrapped up its fifth and final season with a time jump and the reveal of Batman, albeit briefly. Although the series itself varied in quality, it was never afraid to gamble on more adventurous storylines and challenge its strong leading cast with multiple roles. However, it seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing more of the Gotham cast in future incarnations of the Dark Knight, at least according to recent interviews at Dragon Con in Atlanta.
A number of the stars discussed their time on Gotham and future plans while at the convention, including David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne), Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth), Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot), Maggie Geha (Ivy Pepper) and Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock). Logue was particularly keen to point out the need to keep their universes separate from other takes on Batman, commenting as so on being approached by Warner Bros. or DC to appear...

Maggie Geha is one of those actresses that sounds like someone you’ve heard of before and when you search for her you realize just where you’ve seen her before. So it’s obvious that she’s someone in the business and has earned that distinction but it’s also just as obvious that there are a lot of names to remember and unfortunately people do get lost in the mix every now and again. It’s not an insult to say that people get lost in all the names, but more of a real view that unless someone is doing a massive number of

Sons of Anarchy alum Jacob Vargas, Maggie Geha (Gotham) and Cree Cicchino (Game Shakers) are set as series regulars opposite Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias in Mr. Iglesias, Netflix’s upcoming multi-cam comedy series from the comedian and Cristela co-creator/executive producer Kevin Hench.

She is genuinely excited – almost annoyingly so – to be shaping the future through her teaching. Cicchino will portray Marisol Fuentes, a 16-year-old determined, yet overworked student.

When Gotham season 4 returns from its midseason break, it will introduce a brand new version of a familiar character. In “A Dark Knight: Pieces of a Broken Mirror,” Peyton List will step into the role of Ivy Pepper Aka Poison Ivy, who was previously played by Maggie Geha (and Claire Foley before her). Though her casting was made official a few months ago, we now have our first glimpse at List’s Ivy in these images from the midseason premiere.
You don’t need Bruce Wayne’s detective skills to notice that this version of Ivy is missing something that’s usually intrinsic to the character: her auburn locks. List is a popular actress with DC TV fans, after previously appearing as Golden Glider on The Flash and Lucy Lane on Smallville, but we imagine some will have fierce opinions about a version of Poison Ivy who doesn’t have red hair.

It's happened again! Gotham has replaced Poison Ivy with another actress. This is the second time this has been done on the show with the same role.
It was announced that Peyton List, who recently played a super-villain on The Flash, will be playing the role of Poison Ivy for the new season replacing the current Poison Ivy, Maggie Geha. I along with many people are confused by this choice.
According to Fox, the girl who would become Poison Ivy, Ivy Pepper, got into another potion and aged up some more.
Apparently, Maggie Geha was only supposed to be 19, and now the potion will turn Maggie into Peyton List, who is an adult. Right now, it looks like Poison Ivy is quickly becoming Gotham‘s equivalent of James Bond insofar that she’s being continuously recast. As you should remember, Clare Foley played a much younger version of the character – Ivy Pepper – beginning with the pilot episode, before being aged up via sci-fi means at the start of season 3. And with that passing of the torch came Maggie Geha, who’s done a fine job in the time since.
Geha, who was billed as a series regular for the duration of season 3, actually ended up being criminally underused and has since been demoted to “guest star” in season 4. Now, the latest word to come down says that she’s unfortunately out, and that Peyton List is in.
Here’s what Gotham‘s producers had to say about this bold move:

Things might get a bit itchier and foliage-controlling on Gotham as the Fox drama is about to have a new Poison Ivy. Coming off the latest toxic transformation for the veteran Batman villain on the September 28 “The Fear Reaper” episode, Frequency and Mad Men alum Peyton List will be joining Gotham as the latest Ivy next year. With the age-shifting character having been played by Clare Foley earlier and Maggie Geha starting in Season 3 of the Bruno Heller Batman backstory…...

Gotham is itching to give Poison Ivy another extreme makeover.
TVLine has learned that Fox’s DC drama has tapped Peyton List (Frequency, The Flash) to take over the role of Ivy Pepper/aka Poison Ivy.
List is the third actress to play the role, following Maggie Geha (who took over a year ago) and Clare Foley (who originated it in the pilot). Update: Geha in fact offered this farewell of sorts hours after List’s casting was reported:

If there’s one advantage that Gotham has over its DC TV brethren at The CW, it’s that it’ll commence its next season several weeks before the others do. Having said that, it’s only expected that synopses surface, each providing even more clues as to what we can expect from the next leg of Bruce Wayne’s journey toward becoming Batman.
First, on Thursday, September 21, we have the season 4 premiere that’s peculiarly titled “Pax Penguina.” From that, we can obviously infer that the deadly rivalry involving the Penguin and the Riddler that began in season 3 will spill over here, but it appears that the Scarecrow and Ra’s al Ghul may steal the show. And seeing as how Alexander Siddig, who is reprising his role as the Demon’s Head, is now a series regular, that’s a very real possibility.

Gotham is a show that has a lot to live up to. We all know Batman, but to take the focus and push it onto James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) instead, and make Bruce Wayne a lesser character is a brave move. Looking at Gotham: The Complete Third Season, we now have a show that is finding its confidence, but also risking overwhelming the audience in the very busy city of Gotham.
Working as a bounty hunter, Gordon is now tracking down the Indian Hills escapees. With Jervis Tetch (Benedict Samuel), The Mat Hatter threatening the city with a madness virus, and a shady organisation known as the Court of Owls strengthening their hold over the city, the battle for control of Gotham has never been so volatile.

You know, I really feel like I’m playing devil’s advocate whenever I say something supportive about Gotham. Really, angry fanboys have made it the Roman Reigns of the DC TV family. But despite it taking the basics of the Batman mythos and using them to build something that’s all its own, I’ve really come to enjoy this series as I believe it makes for some rather stellar television. Granted, I can’t speak for where the producers may be headed in the future, but in the meantime, I’m having a ball watching.
Obviously, the backbone of this show is Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and the personal journey he’s embarking on, but I don’t want to discuss him in-depth just yet. Instead, I’ll describe this season in a nutshell before going any further.

Despite their wealth and social status. Thomas and Martha Wayne were victims of random violence in a city filled with such acts on an hourly basis. A Comic-Con poster has just been released for Gotham Season 4 and it reveals that we’ve learned the title of the initial Season 4 storyline is "Dawn of Night." The poster also features an image of Bruce Wayne looking over Gotham City.
There's not a lot of information on the upcoming season, but we know that Bruce is going to be taking some big steps as he slowly but surely becomes the Dark Knight, which corresponds with the title. We also know that Harley Quinn is going to play a decent sized role in the story.
We'll learn more about the series during the Comic-Con panel that takes place on Saturday evening. They will be doing a Q&A with the cast and crew and will show off a video presentation.

If anything can be said about Gotham, it’s that several truly brilliant young actors have turned in some memorable performances as they re-imagine some of the greatest villains to ever leap off the pages of comic books. Robin Lord Taylor has given us a multilayered Penguin markedly different from actors who have preceded him; Cory Michael Smith plays Edward Nygma with a straighter face than previously seen in live action; Maggie Geha is currently giving Poison Ivy some much needed on film redemption; and Cameron Monaghan damn near stole the entire series with his maniacal interpretation of Jerome Valeska, the proto-Joker.
Having been recently teased first with a goosebump inducing promo and later with a grainy picture, Monaghan’s impending return has already gotten fans in an uproar – in a good way. One could even say that the “Joker cult” we’ll see in early 2017 could be interpreted as...

With just weeks remaining until the fall finale, Gotham looks to heat things up next week with what may be its most intense episode to air thus far this season. If the above trailer for “Mad City: The Executioner” tells us anything, it’s that we’re in for one hell of a nail biter.
From the looks of it, most of the white knuckle moments in this particular episode will come courtesy of the developing situation with Nathaniel Barnes. 3.2 Burn The Witch
Holy moral compass malfunction, Batman! In my last review I was hoping that Gotham would start shaking up the stories revolving around Jim Gordon, to make the whole ‘he’s really changed’ thing seem more convincing. Looking at this week’s episode, I needn’t have worried.
Leather jackets and bottles of beer are the easy shorthand for ‘our protagonist is becoming a bit of a dick.’ And this week, that basic idea from the season premiere was fleshed out with some actual plot. It was genuinely shocking to see Jim let Fish Mooney go free at the end of the episode, to manipulate the Gcpd, to encourage Penguin’s mob, and to do nothing when Penguin was later seen celebrating after a fair number of people died.

Much has been made about the drastic changes made to the character Ivy Pepper in Fox's Gotham. The writers and producers just made the decision to age her up from an adolescent teen to a fully grown woman and, as such, have recast her, and they've also added more comic book elements to the character. While she began her life on Gotham as Ivy Pepper, a youthful reimagining of the classic villain, the show runners have now decided to turn her into full-on Poison Ivy for this third season.
A new featurette from Gotham shows off the transformation, and gives us some idea of what we can expect. You'll see that at the start of the video she's played by Clare Foley and by the end it's Maggie Geha inhabiting the role.

The season 3 premiere of Gotham saw Ivy Pepper (Clare Foley) go for a little dip, and the character is set to return to the city during next week's installment looking very different. Without a doubt, one of the most discussed aspects of the third season of Gotham has to be that of the Poison Ivy switch. I’m well aware that some viewers are confused as to the specifics of the change, but it’s actually quite simple to explain: The young Ivy we have come to know (Clare Foley) has been aged several years due to the touch of an Indian Hill “monster” who acts as a sort of reverse fountain of youth. Thus, we are introduced to an adult Ivy played by the up and coming Maggie Geha.
Thankfully, Fox has released a featurette that further explores this new dynamic, as several members of the cast and crew discuss what we can expect from one of Gotham City’s deadliest femme fatales. Geha herself lent some insight with the following statement:

Fox’s Batman prequel series, Gotham, has gradually become more and more fantasy-based as it’s moved towards its third season, introducing various characters and storylines which draw influence from the superpower-infused DC comic books. Arguably the most out-there season 3 addition is a more mature incarnation of Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha), who will replace Clare Foley’s younger “Ivy Pepper.”
In a recent interview with THR, producer Ken Woodruff explains the decision to reintroduce the more comic-accurate take on Ivy to the show:
The character Ivy in the comics, one of her greatest powers is the power of seduction. Everyone was much more comfortable with that with an older actress as opposed to a teenager. We want to explore that classic, canonical power of Ivy. And we didn’t just make her older with that attack. When she’s changed and transformed, there’s a real character change as well.

In an interesting twist for fans of Fox's Gotham, Ivy Pepper has undergone a transformation for the show's third season. For starters, she's no longer played by 14-year-old Clare Foley. The part has been taken over by Maggie Geha, who's 28. Aside from that, she's also had something of an attitude adjustment. While the physical transformation is more obvious, Gotham's producers have shed some light on one of the more tactical and strategic reasons that they decided to change things up for Ivy.
Clare Foley
In storyline terms, Ivy was touched by one of Fish Mooney's (Jada Pinkett Smith) monsters and that caused her to transform. But behind the scenes it sounds like the producers wanted to make the change so that they could take advantage of one of Poison Ivy's most potent weapons from the comics: Seduction.
