The Walking Dead franchise has spawned multiple shows, comic series, and video games, each of which has been fairly popular in its own way. The Og show, starring Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, and Danai Gurira in the lead, went on for 11 seasons, before concluding in 2022.
Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
But did you know that the show was supposed to run for four more seasons with two characters taking the lead after the exit of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira? Lincoln’s Rick Grimes left after season 8, and Gurira’s Michonne made her exit in 10. While Reedus’ Daryl Dixon took the lead after Grimes left to join the Crm, he too was going to make his way out of the Twd universe. At this time, Lauren Cohan’s Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan were supposed to take over.

All the Yellowstone drama has turned Kevin Costner into some sort of anti-hero figure among fans. Costner’s issues have caused some serious damage to the reputation of the TV series that saw its biggest overnight launch for the fifth-season premiere in November 2022. The second part of the fifth season will start filming soon, probably without Costner to lead the show. Yellowstone co-stars have revealed his gentler side over the years which tells a different story from the current drama.
Kevin Costner’s exit may have caused some hatred against him among the Yellowstone cast & crew
Costner plays John Dutton, the patriarch of the Dutton family and the owner of the Yellowstone ranch. Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, and Luke Grimes play his three children, while Cole Hauser plays his ranch hand in the Paramount series.

The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln returned as Rick Grimes in the spin-off series, The Ones Who Live. Co-created by Scott M. Gimple, Lincoln, and Danai Gurira, the show follows Grimes and Michonne as they navigate the ongoing battle against the undead while attempting to reunite. However, it was not conceived as a miniseries.

Following Grimes’ departure from the original show in season 9, plans were announced for a film trilogy with the 50-year-old actor and Gurira was also slated to join him. However, the film trilogy eventually transformed into a limited series. Gimple recently revealed the reason why the trilogy plans were abandoned in favor of the limited series format.

Being a part of a television show as celebrated as Yellowstone is equivalent to winning the lottery for any actor. In light of this, the Yellowstone cast has mostly kept quiet following Kevin Costner’s unexpected departure during the second half of Season 5.
How do the remaining cast members feel about Costner’s exit from Paramount’s show? Did the cast feel abandoned by The Untouchables star because he left some storylines unfinished for his Yellowstone character (John Dutton)? Well, Costner’s former co-stars from the series are reportedly unhappy about his departure and the fallout from it, according to a report from Life & Style.

The Walking Dead started with the story of Rick Grimes played by Andrew Lincoln. As the story progressed, after 8 seasons leading the show, Lincoln said goodbye and made his exit in season 9 of the post-apocalyptic horror series. But that wasn’t the end of the story for either Rick Grimes or Andrew Lincoln. The star was preparing to join the cast of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Lived.

And Black Panther star Danai Gurira was set to join the second movie in the trilogy, after exiting the show in season 10. But neither Lincoln nor the creators were happy to waste so much time before the character of Michonne, played by Gurira, could reunite with Grimes in the story.

It is not every day that one gets to witness the marvel of a universe getting built from the ground up and living to see its completion. Andrew Lincoln was there from Day 1 and he helped build the story up from Ground Zero. So for The Walking Dead patriarch, putting his back into the franchise for 14 long years seemed like enough for one lifetime.

As such, when fans began to relive the undead universe through the eyes of Rick and Michonne in The Ones Who Live, it was only natural to be curious as to how long this reunion would last before the other shoe dropped like an anvil before the audience’s very eyes.

Everyday we draw nearer to the release of the second part of “Yellowstone’s” 5th season feels more surreal. Yes I know there are spinoffs in the works – and I know fans plan to immerse themselves in that world as well – but we’ll still miss “Yellowstone.”
Luke Grimes Calls “Yellowstone” Character His Dream Role
“If I could have figured out my dream role at the age that I got that job, it would have been Kayce,” the star, who once lost the “Twilight” role to Edward Cullen, told UK’s Independent.
Awww… It feels nice to hear Luke Grimes say that because I know many “Yellowstone” fans are absolutely in love with his character, Kayce.
However, becoming Kayce wasn’t as easy as all that as he admitted he did have a hard time filming the first season for this reason.

It's been a full year since Paramount announced that Kevin Costner was leaving Yellowstone. With the second half of Season 5 being the final one, the news was incredibly disappointing for fans of one of the most important Westerns of the 21st century.
Moreover, the mere fact of Costner's departure has caused an incredible amount of controversy and speculation around the already cult series: is Taylor Sheridan or Costner himself to blame, how does the former intend to deal with John Dutton without his actor, how much will all this affect the quality of the finale?
All in all, even now, in 2024, it's causing quite a few controversies, as the ongoing drama behind the scenes is still shrouded in mystery. Kevin Costner’s tenure as John Dutton in Yellowstone came to an abrupt end last year due to creative differences with series creator Taylor Sheridan. After a successful four-and-a-half season run, the show is now at a standstill with Costner’s departure causing a huge problem for its continuity. Filming for the second half of the fifth season has not begun yet.

Luke Grimes isn’t mad at his Yellowstone costar Kevin Costner for exiting the hit show.
Grimes plays the youngest son of Costner’s character, John Dutton III, and addressed Costner’s departure in a recent interview with The Independent.
“Whatever happened there is unfortunate if it’s changed anything about how the show was going to unfold,” Grimes said. He added that he knew Costner had become “busy” with his “passion projects,” like his upcoming film, Horizon: An American Saga.
“At a certain point, you gotta do what you gotta do, man,” Grimes said. “You gotta do what you love.”
Paramount announced last June that it would be ending Yellowstone after five seasons. The decision came just a few months after Deadline reported that the network was trying to end the hit Western because Costner wanted to spend less time filming.
Costner hasn’t completely closed the door on a return.

Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride, is arguably the most riveting character in The Walking Dead franchise.
Calculating and cold-hearted at times but comforting when she needs to be, Carol walks the line between hero and anti-hero, never once failing to bring pathos to her character.
Imagine the intrigue of fans when AMC Networks announced that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 will be subtitled "The Book of Carol."
Hmm. We've got to do something about that title.
What does "The Book of Carol" mean, anyway? Is it a biblical allusion like The Book of Enoch or The Book of Eli?
Or is "The Book of Carol" in reference to a book Carol is writing during her time away from the original Grimes clan, perhaps a book of poetry inspired by non-confrontational walkers?
Carol's presence on The Walking Dead, while mesmerizing, is not exactly a strong narrative pull, at least as a singular protagonist.

Luke Grimes has played Kayce Dutton on Yellowstone since the very beginning, but the main series will soon be coming to a premature end, largely thanks to the exit of Kevin Costner.

Today, many people are making everything about politics: from the most mundane activities to art, there’s nothing that won’t get attributed to the left or the right or whatever else. Artists themselves don’t like that, especially when they’re giving their all to their job only to meet online backlash because of some bizarre reason.
Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes has long been frustrated with how his favorite show is being politicized, and recently, the actor spoke up against it and addressed the issue.
Luke Grimes Slams Yellowstone Politicization
The entire genre of Western has long been labeled as a “conservative fantasy” by many, and it can indeed be one: there, you have guns, horses, and fighting for your land. All is good, but the situation gets out of hand when actors don’t mean any political statements by starring in a Western TV show but get treated as if they do.

As Yellowstone prepares for its final season, the show’s star, Luke Grimes, has opened up about landing his dream role, the hypocrisy of the show’s critics, and his thoughts on Kevin Costner‘s acrimonious exit. Speaking to the U.K.’s Independent, Grimes admitted it took a little while for him to grow into his role as ranch hand Kayce Dutton, the son of Costner’s John Dutton in the hit neo-Western drama. “I felt like an idiot for the first year of Yellowstone wearing a cowboy hat,” he confessed. “It takes a while before that doesn’t feel ridiculous. Now, I barely notice it.” Despite his awkwardness with his outfit, Grimes, who once lost out on the part of Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, described his Yellowstone part as his “dream role.” “If I could have figured out my dream role at the age that I got that job,...

Grimes’ Saturday set at Coachella was plagued by “major technical difficulties.”
The Canadian experimental pop musician took the Sahara stage for what was supposed to be a 50-minute DJ set. However, around the halfway mark, Grimes was forced to restart “Music 4 Machines” multiple times, as the song was playing double the speed that she had intended. The remainder of the set proved equally chaotic.
“This is a difficult thing to explain but we’re having a major technical error,” she told the crowd. “Don’t judge me for being bad a calculating things.”
“All my tracks are double tempo and I can’t do the math. They’re borderline un-mixable, so the rest of my sent won’t be mixes but it’ll still be fun,” Grimes said at another point. She also let out several angry screams.
In a social media post following the set, Grimes wrote, “I’ve spent months on this show,...

Grimes faced some big technical challenges while onstage during the first weekend of the 2024 Coachella Music Festival.
The 36-year-old musician performed on the Sahara Stage on Saturday (April 14), but she took to X (formerly Twitter) a few hours in advance to let fans know that she was not expecting a perfect performance.
Unfortunately, she was correct.
Read more about Grimes’ set and what happened…
According to Variety, Grimes had issues with the timing of some of her songs. She told the audience that it was “a major technical error” and explained that the songs were somehow sped up.
She was unable to rework them in the moment, which derailed her plans. At one point, Grimes said that it wasn’t “actually [her] fault.”
Her set wound up being cut short.
On social media in advance, Grimes offered an explanation.

Young and the Restless (Y&r) spoilers suggest that despite being only 34 years of age, actress Camryn Grimes has truly created a soap opera legacy in the land of Genoa City.
She entered the daytime drama in 1997 at the age of seven, delighting fans as the sweet, sassy, and smart Cassie Newman. Sadly, Cassie passed away in 2005; however, Camryn continued to grace the canvas playing the ghost of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) daughter; a role she reprised for a dream episode, just last month.
Still, Camryn returned to the show full-time in 2014, playing Cassie’s long-lost twin, Mariah Copeland. Camryn has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy award six times during her time on the Y&R, and snagged the statue twice, once for her portrayal of Cassie in 2000, and once in 2018 for her portrayal of Mariah.

[This story contains spoilers from The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.]
Years after his presumed death, Rick Grimes is not only alive and well, but fully back in action.
By the end of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira-starring and produced limited series, the powerhouse duo of Rick and Michonne officially reunited. Not just with each other, but with their family and friends. Having dismantled the nefarious Crm from the inside, the titular “ones who live” earned their way back to the Alexandria safe zone they called home for so many seasons, with Rick reuniting with his daughter for the first time in years, and meeting his son Rj for the first time ever.
All’s well that ends well, right? Just one problem: it ain’t over just yet.

Shooting on Yellowstone Season 6 is set to begin in a few weeks, and no one seems sure if Kevin Costner’s going to return as John Dutton. His time on the show infamously ended due to a row with showrunner Taylor Sheridan and scheduling conflicts with his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga. But, in recent weeks, there have been rumours that Costner may indeed return to the show. While it’s unlikely he’ll have a huge role going forward, the buzz is he could theoretically make a cameo, but so far, all involved have been mum on the possibility of this happening. Given Sheridan’s creative control over the show, the ultimate decision whether or not to bring him back likely remains something he’d have to sign off on, but a full-fledged return seems unlikely. So, if Costner really isn’t coming back as John Dutton, how...

This review contains massive episode spoilers.
Right before he blew up the bridge back in his final episode from the flagship series, a fatally-injured Rick Grimes uttered “I found them” before he was thrust into the chaos of the Civic Republic Military and stolen from his children’s lives for years. Three seasons and six jam-packed, spin-off episodes later, Rick has indeed finally found them, and the long journey of a sheriff from Atlanta faced with the end of the world has reached its conclusion.
“The Last Time” kicks off with a beautiful dynamic shot passing over a table filled with the remnants of an intensive planning session and candlelit dinner. Michonne and Rick are romantically enjoying the eve before their bold attack on the Civic Republic Military. Above all, “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” has up-held its commitment to being a romance set within the zombie apocalypse.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live was a special 6-episode spin-off from the original The Walking Dead series that told the story of what happened to some of the characters after the conclusion of the original series. Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, and Pollyanna McIntosh reprised their roles as Rick Grimes, Michonne, and Jadis Stokes / Anne respectively, with the series receiving generally positive reviews and is considered an important part of The Walking Dead canon.
Now, the series ended on March 31, 2024, and The Hollywood Reporter sat down with the two main stars of the series – Lincoln and Gurira – to discuss the series’ emotional ending and how the story of the spin-off shaped canon.
The series – Spoiler Alert – ends happily, with the main characters surviving the events of the spin-off and are now in for a “happily ever after” scenario, which, as the actors revealed, was something that had to happen.

[This story contains major spoilers for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale.]
And the ones who lived lived happily ever after. The end.
For now.
The six-episode limited series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live has reached its conclusion, bringing the story of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira’s Michonne to a close, if only for the time being. Heading into the reunion series, there was little doubt Rick and Michonne would join together again and kick a staggering amount of butt along the way. Would they survive said butt-kickings? Another question entirely. But the Ones Who Live finale answered that concern with a resounding victory for Rick and Michonne, who not only stop the villainous Crm from waging war against an innocent city, but manage to do it all with time to get back to their family in Alexandria.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details of tonight’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1 finale.
“There was always something about the connection of these two characters,” Danai Gurira says of The Walking Dead’s Michonne and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the reunion of the lovers over near-insurmountable odds and legions of Walkers in spinoff series The Ones Who Live. “The plan was always that we would complete this love story in a new form.”
It is fitting in many ways that Michonne and Rick’s love story comes full circle on a day of renewal like Easter Sunday. While there is no official word whether there will be more The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live or Michonne and Rick, certainly the saving of swaths of humanity and the reunion with their children Judith (Cailey Fleming) and R.J. (Antony Azor) at the end of tonight...

Elon Musk’s former partner Grimes, a singer, songwriter, and record producer, once found similarities in her life to that comparable to the world and characters presented in Frank Herbert’s opus, Dune. Resonance with fictional media is not a one-person affair; most delve into them to find parallels to one’s experiences or the emotions, goals, and characteristics a character becomes emblematic to mirror their own.

However, what has taken some netizens to side-eye Dune super-fan Grimes’ comment in a 2022 interview was the Canadian artist finding her son, X Æ A-12 Musk, analogous to the 1965 novel’s protagonist, Paul Atreides. Well, not through personality traits, per se (she didn’t specify), but through the journey Paul follows within the overarching storyline.
This, of course, holds some intriguing implications when we consider the character’s trajectory in Dune Messiah.

“What We,” written by Michonne herself, Danai Gurira, is the fourth episode in AMC’s “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.” Serving as an emotional climax for Michonne and Rick’s journey, the episode unravels much like a play (which makes sense given Gurira’s background as a playwright). Confined to an abandoned apartment building in the wake of Michonne pulling Rick out of a helicopter, the long-lost lovers finally have some alone time to talk things over.
What follows is a beautifully written, dialogue-heavy episode that is heightened by dynamic blocking and set design. Much of the episode finds Rick and Michonne arguing over their next steps, pacing and moving around the small apartment they’ve found themselves in. Despite an exit-plan at their fingertips, Rick seems hesitant to travel with Michonne back to Alexandria. Michonne, rightly frustrated, argues with Rick, spiraling the conversation into circles. Grimes is...

Among the many kinds of story-telling The Walking Dead had tried in its eleven-season run, a character-focused, single-location episode was a pretty common one. But the thing is, most of the time, it didn’t work. The reason behind that is that The Walking Dead as a show has way more gristle and bones than actual meat, barring the first season. The meat was tasty nonetheless, but the process of getting there was often very tiresome. Naturally, with time (and Rick Grimes’ exit), people have lost interest in everything related to The Walking Dead, too.

Ari Aster has assembled an all-star cast for his next film, “Eddington,” recruiting Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr.
A24 is financing and producing the movie, which — based on Aster’s track record — we can only assume will give us nightmares. Plot details are kept under wraps besides the fact that the film “follows a small-town New Mexico sheriff with higher aspirations.”
“Eddington” starts production this week, with Aster writing, directing and producing alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner. Two-time Academy Award nominee Darius Khondji is the director of photography.
“Eddington” marks the sixth collaboration between Square Peg and A24, which produced and distributed Aster’s previous three films — “Hereditary,” “Midsommar” and “Beau Is Afraid” — as well as “Dream Scenario” and the upcoming “Death of a Unicorn.”

Coming off an exceptional second episode last week, “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” Episode 3 (“Bye”) finds Michonne still undercover within the Crm as a consignee. She’s under strict orders from Rick to pretend to be a “B,” when it’s clear Michonne is anything but. Watching Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira play off the dynamic of reunited lovers acting like complete strangers is endlessly entertaining, and another testament to how strong the duo are as performers.
Michonne can only play innocent for so long, as her natural skills fending off the undead become clear during the frequent walker killing sessions that consignees are required to do at the Crm’s walls. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 3
The idea of paying debts is more of a Game of Thrones thing. After all, it’s the Lannister motto, and the show features a whole lot of characters paying off metaphorical debts, if not actual ones. While The Walking Dead doesn’t have any incestuous families scheming to take over the Seven Kingdoms (though they did have a king and there are undoubtedly incestuous families out there among the survivors), the Civic Republic is obviously keeping many secrets. The people of its secret city don’t know what the military does. The military doesn’t know what the elite Frontliners are up to. Within the Frontliners, there are conspiracies and gamesmanship; there’s certainly some sort of monetary system in use by the Crm, but it seems the real currency is personal favors.

For Luke Grimes, starring on the soon-to-end TV series Yellowstone has been “one of the most intense experiences” of his life but also “one of the most rewarding” — one that has even inspired his burgeoning music career. “For seven years, we’ve been doing this, and we started in 2017. That’s crazy,” Grimes says in a new People interview. “This cast and crew, they’re like a second family. We spend a lot of time together. It’s changed my life in every way possible.” Grimes, an alum of American Sniper and the Fifty Shades films, has starred on Yellowstone since day one, playing Kayce Dutton on the Paramount Network hit. Now he’s facing the end of the show, which will start airing its final episodes in November. “Nothing will ever be the same because of this show in all sorts of ways, good and bad,” he said. “I will miss it terribly.

Elon Musk, the controversial leader of Tesla, SpaceX, X (formerly known as Twitter), and, let us never forget, “The Boring Company,” made a rare appearance at a Hollywood function on Thursday night. The Future King of Mars landed at an SXSW promotional activation for “Fallout,” the new Amazon Prime Video science fiction series executive produced by Jonathan Nolan.
It isn’t too shocking to see Musk at a SXSW event. While he famously has no fixed address, he does maintain a post office box in Lakeway, Texas, which is about a 45-minute drive from Austin. Furthermore, SXSW has always been a safe space for “disrupters,” and maintains a bit of a Libertarian streak.
But it is a little surprising that Musk would go cheerleader mode for something streaming on Amazon, what with him and Jeff Bezos as dueling space explorers, but Deadline notes that the South African-born tech zillionaire is,...

We’re finally near the finish line WWE 2K24‘s release, and critics have given the game a golden stamp of approval. With a Metascore of 84 on Metacritic, fans are rushing to get their hands on the highly anticipated wrestling game that introduces a bucketload of new features, mechanics, roster additions, and more.
Among the raving reviews, however, there’s a bit of disappointment expressed at the game; particularly, its soundtrack.
Some Fans Want Post Malone Out of WWE 2K24
For some players, the WWE 2K24 soundtrack is a hard miss
This year, in late February, it was revealed that renowned American singer, rapper, and songwriter Post Malone would be the executive producer of the game’s soundtrack. Despite the number of awards and recognitions under the artist’s belt, not everyone was happy with the decision.
