Kirk Jay will win season 15 of “The Voice” for coach Blake Shelton according to the predictions of more than one-third of the viewers of the live finale on December 17. This 22-year old country singer from Alabama wowed the crowd with three outstanding performances on Monday’s show and registered 34% in our instant poll. He would be the seventh contestant coached to victory on “The Voice” by Blake.
All four coaches wanted this soulful singer for their team after his rendition of “God Bless the Broken Road” in the blind auditions. He opted to work with his hero, Blake. Kirk was then pitted against two other artists on Team Shelton. In each instance Blake went with him, first in the Battle round when he and Caeland Garner sang “Let it Rain” and then in the Knockouts where his performance of “In Case You Didn’t Know” outdid that of Colton Smith.

The first live show of season 15 of “The Voice” is on November 12. Each coach — reigning champ Kelly Clarkson, returning coach Jennifer Hudson, three-time winner Adam Levine or six-time victor Blake Shelton — has six artists on their team. We wondered which of these four was the best coach with the strongest team and the top choice in our poll was Hudson with 31% of the vote. This Grammy and Oscar winner saw her team shut out of the Top 8 when she coached for the first time last fall.
Clarkson is the pick of just over one in four readers (27%) while just under that number (26%) expect Shelton to win for a seventh time. Only 16% of readers expect Adam Levine to finally add a fourth trophy to his mantle. If you haven’t cast your ballot yet, vote in our poll below and then be sure to sound off on your favorite coach and artist in the comments section.

After one last hour of Blind Auditions Monday, The Voice kicked off its Battle Rounds, and frankly, they couldn’t start soon enough. Although there have been some memorable contestants singing their way onto Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson’s teams, Season 15 has thus far felt a little… underwhelming, like a period instead of an exclamation point. You guys haven’t even been inspired to argue in the comments about which vocalists were/weren’t amazing or tell me how tone-deaf I must be to assign the grades that I do. So did the kickoff of...

Jennifer Hudson cannot hide her feelings on The Voice! During a performance in the upcoming Battle Rounds, the coach can't keep it together over contestants Patrique Fortson and Colton Smith. She yells, she side-eyes Blake Shelton, she kicks the air, she throws her shoe (a JHud trademark). She basically just can't handle their duet of "God Gave Me You," a song by Shelton himself. You can watch it all go down in the exclusive clip below. Judging by this clip and her reaction, Hudson has a difficult task ahead of her, choosing which of these singers to keep on her team and which to give up. The Battle Rounds officially begin on Monday after the final blind auditions in a special two hour...

Night 5 of The Voice’s Season 15 Blind Auditions added to the roster of competitors something that the singing competition hasn’t had since, I believe, Season 6: a duo. But were they as good as they were rare? And were the coaches really as enamored of their vocals as they were of their sweet love story? Read on, and we’ll discuss not only these things but the performances by all of the advancing contestants.

CW is really stepping up their game for the sweeps and holiday season. They just announced their November 29th lineup to help celebrate Thanksgiving weekend. It will be called One Magnificent Morning and it will feature family, friendly shows that are not animated. It will stick to the FCC’s desire for more educational programs compared to the usual animated ones from the days of the past. Here is the official lineup that they have announced for the event.
Dog Whisperer With Cesar Millan: Family Edition
DOG101 – Schnauzer with Attitude
Francine and Michael’s grandchildren have not visited their house in two years because of Lorelei’s habit of nipping and herding children.
DOG102 – Peculiar Personalities
Meet two dogs with peculiar personalities. Ringo, a female pointer mix, is Ocd and not interested in anything except for sticks, pinecones and balls. Abbie is a hyperactive Australian Shepard that will whine,...

In part 2 of the Getting Lucky Mma podcast Ultimate Fighter spectacular, I am joined by fellow Mma columnist, Marcus Mitchell, to break down all the action in the Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale. As a surprise move, Dana did not invite any of the season contestants other than the finalists to partake on the card, obviously to shake up the complacency in the housemates over lackluster performances and commitment.
The card was highlighted by Roy Nelson dominating Matt Mitrione on the feet with a beautiful uppercut. The fight was punctuated with a well-timed flurry by Big Country to turn off Meathead’s lights completely. The Tuf 16 Welterweight champion was also crowned, Us Army Ranger Colton Smith.

Episode Summary (#010 – part 2): In a card that was largely de-fanged by injury (Shane Carwin) and even last second pestilence (Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner), there was still plenty of excitement. Nine out...
