Exclusive: Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins (Freud’s Last Session) has signed on to star in Bruno Penguin and the Staten Island Princess, the latest film from director Nick Cassavetes. Billed as the first-ever major Hollywood production to shoot in Antarctica, the film also has Shia Labeouf (Padre Pio) in talks to star and will enter production in November.
Scripted by Daniel Barnz and Ned Zeman, Bruno Penguin is based on a Vanity Fair article from the latter which tells the true story of adventurous Swiss photographer Bruno Zehnder, a superb artist who spent the last 20 years of his life in Antarctica photographing Emperor penguins. He was obsessed by them – their kindness, the way they lived, their deep levels of affection for one another. Bruno spent his life trying to learn how to communicate with them and over time, the colonies grew to know him and return his fondness.

Back in 2008 the Marvel Cinematic Universe officially began with Iron Man. The film starred an actor who, at the time, was going through uncertain times in his career. In fact he was paid only $500,000 for his role in the film while his co-star Terrance Howard was paid $4.5 million for his role due to recently being nominated for an academy award.
After the film’s positive reception upon its release, Marvel started making other films like The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America, leading up to the first Avengers film in 2012. In just four short years, Downy Jr.’s career turned around, and he became a household name.
The actor would continue to portray the super genius hero in a third solo Iron Man film and appear as a secondary character in both Captain America and Spider-Man movies as well as three more Avengers films. His last official...

From once being a top star, known for featuring in the first Iron Man and earning an Oscar for Hustle & Flow, to now being the focus of a tax evasion case, Terrence Howard’s life has taken some wild turns. While the actor has been part of several acclaimed projects throughout his career that span over three decades, as of now, Howard is known for his bizarre statements and legal troubles.
Howard is no stranger to legal troubles with the government, as in the mid-2000s, state tax liens amounting to $639K were filed against his property in Plymouth Meeting. And while that was settled, the actor has now found himself in hot waters with the IRS after reportedly making some baffling statements.

The struggle to keep movie theaters alive gets very personal in “Showdown at the Grand,” an enjoyable tribute to retro exploitation pictures with Terrance Howard as a movie palace proprietor besieged by diminishing receipts and violent goons. Dolph Lundgren plays the former action star who shows up for a personal appearance, then stays to help save the joint from those agents of unscrupulous developers. More low-key homage than campy cartoon, writer-director Orson Oblowitz’s fourth feature does manage to deliver some tongue-in-cheek mayhem in an extended climax.
The setting is an actual vintage art deco temple for cinema, San Pedro’s Warner Grand, though rather than being managed by the City of Los Angeles (as it is off-screen), it’s kept alive here as a none-too-successful for-profit labor of love by George Fuller (Howard). Despite all of the many public troubles Ezra Miller has gone through in recent years, if there is a sequel to this summer's "The Flash," it will still be the same actor suiting up as Barry Allen. This according to director Andy Muschietti, who seems committed to keeping our current Scarlet Speedster in the DC Universe after having worked with Miller on the long-awaited superhero film.
Muschietti recently spoke with the folks at The Playlist and was asked point-blank if Miller would return as the DC superhero in the future. "If [a sequel] happens, yes," the director answered. Miller, who played the role in "Justice League" as well, entered treatment in August of last year after a string of public controversies. These include (but are not limited to) being charged with felony burglary in Vermont and two arrests in Hawaii. Muschietti had this to add:

For the first three seasons, Janet Hubert played “Aunt Viv” on The Fresh Prince of Bell-Air, dealing out wisdom to Will Smith’s Philadelphia transplant. Aunt Viv remained a constant on the show, but starting with season four, Daphne Maxwell Reid stepped into the role, giving pop culture enthusiasts a new term for sudden recastings. But to actors who replace other actors, the term “Aunt Viv” might have negative connotations.
At least, that’s the impression viewers get when watching Don Cheadle‘s reaction during an interview with GQ. “It’s famously known online how you ‘Aunt Viv’d’ Terrance Howard for the role of Rhodey,” the interviewer observed, prompting a look of shock from Cheadle. “I ‘Aunt Viv’d’ him?” he asks with incredulity, before clarifying, “I did not move Terrance out of a role.” However, he stumbles when trying to explain exactly what happened. “That’s… they had decided they weren’t…...

Robert Downey Jr. may be one of the highest paid actors in the world right now, but that wasn’t always the case. Back when he first starred as the eponymous superhero of Iron Man in 2008, the Academy Award nominee was struggling to restart a promising career in Hollywood that’d been derailed by substance abuse. Despite being the protagonist of the early Marvel film, the troubled superstar wasn’t the most expensive talent on set.
Neither were Oscar winners Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow. Rather, that distinction actually belongs to Terrance Howard. Weird, right? It may seem crazy over a decade later, but at the time it clearly made a great deal of sense to those in charge.
Jon Favreau was taking a chance on casting Downey Jr. as the lead. His bosses wanted a more dependable face to front the flick, but the director was insistent. He knew...

Every so often, Saturday Night Live has no idea what to do with a first-time host — or in the case of Aquaman‘s Jason Momoa, finds one thing that works and runs it into the ground.
Momoa was game for just about anything, including a very “extra” Christmas Carol sketch that asked him to strip down and twerk for Ebenezer Scrooge. For the most part, though, the former Game of Thrones star was asked to play a menacing meathead who broke various pieces of prop furniture and overwhelmed everyone else in the room. Suffice it to say, it was not a particularly great episode.

The contract has been broken.
This time, it wasn't Kyle or Megan who opted to get out, but E! itself.
The Arrangement has been canceled after two seasons at the network, making The Arrangement Season 2 Episode 10 the series finale.
The Arrangement starred Josh Henderson, Christine Evangelista, Lexa Doig and Michael Vartan.
Henderson's role as Kyle put him in position as a sort of young Tom Cruise, deeply enmeshed in a Scientology-type organization that controlled his every move.
He was so embroiled within The Institute of the Higher Mind that he allowed Terrance Howard (Vartan) and his wife, DeAnn (Doig), map out not only his career but find him women suitable for representing the Ihm values, as well.
That's where Megan (Evangelista), and all the fun of the series came into play.
The show, one of two scripted originals to air on E! during the 2017-18 season alongside The Royals, was...

(Spoiler alert: Please don’t read ahead unless you’ve seen Wednesday’s midseason premiere of “Empire”) “Empire” returned tonight with a midseason premiere that was mostly — well, a long, awkward confrontation at a table between Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), Lucious Lyon (Terrance Howard) and his abductor Claudia (Demi Moore), who are all hanging out in a cabin in the woods. And while it may look like just another installment of “Empire” at first glance, the slow-burning episode “Birds in the Cage” was an impressive feat for the Fox leads and their A-list guest star.
