“America’s Got Talent: The Champions” kicked off last week with the return of Susan Boyle to the franchise that launched her career. She got the Golden Buzzer from Mel B which sent her straight through to the final in five weeks time. The other act to make it through was stand-up comic Preacher Lawson. He won the most votes from the superfans, a group of long-time viewers of “Agt” drawn from all 50 states. They attended tapings of these episodes featuring 50 acts drawn from around the world.
Among the 10 acts in the running on episode 2 on January 14 is 2017 “Agt” winner Darci Lynne Farmer. The singing ventriloquist returns to compete and brings along one of her puppet pals. Also in contention is the dance group Light Balance, which placed third to her in that final back in the late summer of 2017.

If you’re tuning in to tonight’s second episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champion” expecting to see Susan Boyle performing again, you’re about to be disappointed. Since Susan earned Mel B‘s Golden Buzzer last week, that means she’s sailed straight through to the Finals of “Agt: Champions” and is thus skipping the next four weeks of performances. The humble Scottish singer will next be seen on the Top 10 performance episode, airing February 11 on NBC.
