In a world where the shadows of intolerance loom, the spectacle of We’re Here emerges not just as a beacon of light but as a bold declaration of presence. HBO’s groundbreaking series created by Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram, began in 2020, with Shangela, Bob the Drag Queen, and Eureka at the helm. Maren Morris made history Saturday night in New York City when she became the first country music artist to receive GLAAD’s excellence in media award.
During the 34th annual GLAAD Media Awards, the Grammy-winning performer was presented with the honor by Cynthia Lee Fontaine and Alyssa Edwards.
“I felt a little badass taking on Tucker Carlson for calling me a lunatic for standing up to transphobia,” Morris told the crowd while holding her trophy. “Maybe I did feel a little cool. But I don’t want to gloat. I would never insult the recently unemployed.”
The New York Hilton Midtown ballroom erupted in hoots and loud applause that made the “My Church” singer pause and smile.
The LGBTQ+ supporter famously had a war of words with the recently terminated Fox News personality when he dubbed her a “lunatic” and a “fake country music singer” during an interview with Brittany Aldean in August.

Freeform’s “Single Drunk Female” Season 2 trailer is here to show that Samantha Fink’s sober journey is only the starting point in her story.
The comedy series — set to return Wednesday, April 12, at 10 p.m. Et/Pt on Freeform, and releasing the full ten-episode second season on Hulu Thursday, April 13 — showed a glimpse of Sam (Sofia Black-d’Elia) working to become more self-sufficient after getting more comfortable in her sobriety.
The new trailer, debuting exclusively on TheWrap, finds Sam looking for apartments with her friend Felicia (Lily Mae Harrington) to move into now that she’s been sober for a year and a half.
“If last season was Sam having to deal with her worst self to become her best self, this year it’s ‘I did everything right! Why doesn’t my life work yet?!'” Daisy Gardner, showrunner, executive producer and writer said in a statement to TheWrap.

“We’re breaking ground here,” Brad Goreski declares minutes into the series premiere of MTV’s newest unscripted drama, “The Real Friends of Weho.”
We’ve seen Goreski on our TV screens for 15 years now, from his early days as Rachel Zoe’s assistant to his stints on “Fashion Police” and “Canada’s Drag Race.” He’s still styling his celebrity clients. He’s still happily married to Gary Janetti. He has a beautiful home. All wonderful things, but not groundbreaking.
“My ideal date night is pizza on Sunday,” he admits. Same, Brad, same. So why do we need to see more?
Goreski’s role appears to be the anchor for the six “Real Friends,” a group of Wehovians that includes performer Todrick Hall, actor Curtis Hamilton, CEO of Buttah Skincare Dorión Renaud, TV host Jaymes Vaughan and social media personality Joey Zauzig.

Each week on “Whatcha Packin’,” Michelle Visage interviews the recently eliminated queen and shows us some of the runway looks they didn’t get the chance to use on the show. Following her episode 3 elimination, Princess Poppy stopped by to discuss how her drag career started and about her artistic influences. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In her interview with Michelle, Poppy describes her upbringing in North Carolina as super supportive because she comes from a mostly liberal family with liberal-minded parents. Michelle points out that a lot of the season 15 queens come from supportive families and hopes it is a sign that the tides are turning in terms of familial support for the Lgbtqia+ community. Poppy went on to say that she was brought to San Francisco via his fiancé that he met on Grindr while they were both living in New York.

“Diversity training isn’t enough, I’m ready to go to diversity war,” Ziwe says in the trailer as she raises an electric chainsaw, which you can watch in the video posted above.
The late-night talk show host returns to make her guests uncomfortable talking about race, politics and social issues. To make it all happen, Ziwe has summed up a whole slate of celebrities. Appearing in the trailer for Season 2 of the show are Drew Barrymore, Bob the Drag Queen, Joel Kim Booster, Wayne Brady, Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che, Julia Fox, Blake Griffin, Deray Mckesson and Glee alum Amber Riley.
One of the questions Ziwe asks Barrymore is where she stands on the Emancipation Proclamation.

Sketch: “Funeral Ball” Caldwell Tidicue (top) — better known as RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Bob the Drag Queen — emcees the Funeral Ball (above).
This sketch — a callback to season one’s “Basic Ball” — was shot on location at Rsi Locations in Pomona in an abandoned medical campus. “We had a bunch of tinsel and our title card lit up with marquee lights, and we wanted to bring those elements over to this sketch,” explains Chao. The high-angled pitch of the ceiling made this room, which in reality is a small banquet hall, resemble a church space. Chao and Yu lit the room with “a rainbow of colors,” with Chao noting that the funeral scene “wasn’t about a loss of life, but more about a celebration of life. We populated it with big, bold statements and florals to make it more of a fun atmosphere.

Not long after the introduction of the reality and competition program Emmy categories in the early 2000s, the TV academy decided to begin honoring the work of those shows’ presenters by establishing the Best Reality/Competition Host category in 2008. Over the years, the nominees here have hailed from game and talent shows of all kinds, including those structured around dancing, singing, fashion, and food.
Included on the 2022 ballot list below is reigning champion RuPaul of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” who has triumphed on all six of his consecutive bids for the VH1 series. The standout Selma, Ala., episode of “We’re Here” not only brings Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka and Shangela to the city, but also takes a deep dive into the history of the civil rights movement, examining the intersectionality and vulnerability.
During the episode, Bob the Drag Queen also pulls off one of the most iconic wig reveals in the history of drag — by hiding his 11-year-old niece inside his wig. As Bob dances to Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair,” the wig comes off and reveals his the young girl as his dancing sidekick.
It took Bob’s creative team to pull off the surprise, including costume designer Domino Couture, makeup artist Tyler Devlin and hairstylist Gloria.
Couture and Bob the Drag Queen (Christopher Caldwell) have known each other since to Season 8 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” But Couture says Bob has dreamed of pulling off this reveal for over ten years.
