Actress Kristen Stewart said she felt “turned on” by the lesbian sex scenes in her new Lgbtqia+ romance-thriller ‘Love Lies Bleeding’. The actress also shared that the scenes will “shock people” for their frankness, reports New York Post.
“They don’t take their clothes off, but this is going to shock people,” Stewart told Variety, adding that it’s a change of pace from standard sex scenes in movies featuring heterosexual characters.
“All you ever see is a dress coming up and a head going down under,” she said. “I think even hetero sex on film is so rote. You go, ‘Ok, I know what that looks like in movies, that’s what we’ll do,’ because no one actually wants to reveal themselves.”
She further mentioned, quoted by New York Post: “It was really sexy, and I don’t mean from an outsider’s perspective. I felt turned on by it,...

Twenty-seven years after the release of the blockbuster disaster film Twister (watch it Here), Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment have finally put a follow-up on the fast track to release – but they’re not calling it a sequel. Scheduled to receive a theatrical release on July 19, 2024, Twisters has been described as a “new chapter” in what is about to become a franchise… and during an interview with Vogue, cast member Glen Powell – who can currently be seen on the big screen in the romantic comedy Anyone but You – confirmed that the film tells a standalone story. But even without any connection to the original film, he believes that it’s something that will be able to connect to everyone around the world.
Powell told Vogue (with thanks to Deadline for sharing the text) that Twisters is “definitely not a reboot. We’re not trying to recreate the story from the first one.

Glen Powell is preparing his Broadway debut and is working with producer Ryan Murphy to make it happen.
The Anyone but You star is reuniting with the Scream Queens co-creator, the horror series in which he starred back in 2015, playing the role of Chad Radwell.
“Ryan Murphy and I, we’re actually making a musical together. We don’t really have any plans to be back in the television world together, but we’ll be on Broadway together,” Powell told Vogue.
When asked if the Broadway musical had anything to do with his character in the 2015 series, Powell said, “The Chad Radwell Musical. That’s the funniest idea. Just the Dickie Dollar Scholars. The amount of people that come up to me about Scream Queens is shocking, probably more than anything else I’ve done. Maybe it ages like a fine wine.”

It has been far too long since Rose Glass released her debut, Saint Maud, one of many that helped confirm that A24 was the premiere studio for horror. But now we finally have a trailer for her sophomore feature, Love Lies Bleeding, which sees Glass stepping outside of the genre and could very well prove she’s more than what we expected.
In the trailer for Love Lies Bleeding, we see Kristen Stewart’s Lou meeting Katy O’Brian’s Jackie before heading off into a world of shady dealings, dead bodies and revenge, which the trailer notes “gets ripped.” We also get a look at Ed Harris in what is surely his creepiest look to date, like Rocky Horror’s Riff Raff clawed his way out of the desert. The trailer notably features Bronski Beat’s “Smalltown Boy”, a classic of LGBTQ music.

English filmmaker Rose Glass's directorial debut, "Saint Maud," is a great horror film with an all-timer ending, but it was tragically buried after Covid-19 stormed the world in 2020. Thankfully, her sophomore feature as a writer/director, "Love Lies Bleeding," will get the red carpet treatment, starting with a midnight screening at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. The film stars Kristen Stewart as a gym manager who falls head-over-heels in love with a bodybuilder played by Katy O'Brian, an actor whom the internet has spent most of 2023 thirsting after looking at respectfully thanks to her roles as the brawny freedom fighter Jentorra in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" and the treacherous Imperial turned New Republic double agent Elia Kane in "The Mandalorian."
Just as "Saint Maud" began as what Glass once described as "a weird f***ed-up kind of love story between a young woman and God," the story for "Love...

This article contains spoilers for The Last of Us Part II.
The first season of HBO’s The Last of Us has widely been considered a success. From the casting to how the show molds the story itself for a new medium, both newcomers to Joel and Ellie’s journey and longtime fans of the games have found The Last of Us to be a compelling and engaging show. Adapting The Last of Us Part I was certainly no easy feat, but The Last of Us Part II is a different beast entirely.
Not only does the second game have more story and characters to cover, it has also proved to be a lot more controversial than its predecessor – especially when it comes to the playable character Abby. Abby was a new character in The Last of Us Part II, and while she’s introduced fairly early into the game,...

The world of bodybuilding could be showcased and explored for a second year in a row in Park City — after Magazine Dreams (which Searchlight have taken off their film release slate) we could be bench-pressing Love Lies Bleeding. The A24 folks got into the Rose Glass business with her breakout TIFF preemed Saint Maud in 2019 and they quickly lapped up a round two with the British filmmaker. We thought this romantic thriller starring Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, Dave Franco, Ed Harris, Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov had a legit shot at a 2023 release – but the 2024 scorecard was probably a better fit.…...

The A24 title is Glass’ follow-up to ‘Saint Maud’.
Lionsgate UK has picked up Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding from A24 for release in the UK and Ireland.
The romantic thriller is the much-anticipated follow-up to UK filmmaker Glass’ 2019 debut, psychological horror Saint Maud.
Love Lies Bleeding is headlined by Kristen Stewart and is set in the world of competitive bodybuilding. It is billed as a “romance fuelled by ego, desire and the American dream” and is based on a screenplay Glass co-wrote with Weronika Tofilska.

One of the standout episodes of season 3 of "The Mandalorian" is Chapter 19, "The Convert," in which the show takes an episode-long interlude away from our protagonists Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Bo-Katan Kryze's (Katee Sackhoff) adventures on Mandalore to update us on what life is like on Coruscant during the rise of the New Republic. Spoiler alert: underneath the thinly veiled surface of restored peace and democracy, it's not all that different from life under the Empire.
"The Convert" follows ex-Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) collaborator Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi), who has been given a chance to rehabilitate himself into society through the Amnesty Program (a "Star Wars" parallel for the disturbing real-world Operation Paperclip). Using his technological expertise for the New Republic, Pershing befriends a fellow ex-Imperial co-worker, Elia Kane (Katy O'Brian), who shares his strange love of Imperial travel biscuits they used to snack on. This post contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian" season 3, episode 6.
We are rapidly approaching the conclusion of "The Mandalorian" season 3 on Disney+, and the sixth episode, titled "Guns for Hire," did some real work in setting up a grand finale for Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze, and the rest of the Mandalorians as they look to reclaim their homeworld of Mandalore. But this episode took some pretty unique detours en route to getting the Darksaber back in Bo-Katan's hands. The cold open of the episode told a tale of forbidden love in short order, while also bringing us an obscure little connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe along the way — though you'd be forgiven for not catching it the first time around.

This article contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian."
"The Mandalorian" season 3 has been going pleasantly strong so far, and while there has been no shortage of our favorite duo, Din (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu, it also has been an effective vehicle and character study for Bo-Katan Kreez (Katee Sackhoff). Focusing a lot more on Mandalore, the displacement of the Mandalorian people, and the Children of the Watch's religious way of life, this season has largely hit the reset button on the show's formula. We haven't seen any Jedi or huge legacy characters, and episode 3, "The Convert," served as a great standalone showing us the post-"Return of the Jedi" ride of the New Republic.
In a perplexing decision for casual "Star Wars" fans, Grogu and Din actually reunited with each other in an episode of the spin-off series "The Book of Boba Fett," which played much more like a "Mando" season 2.5 interlude.

Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” deviated from the central plot in an intriguing manner during Episode 3, “The Convert.” Most of the running time was focused on the former-Imperial Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) as he tries to rehabilitant his life with the New Republic on Coruscant. Pershing is ultimately betrayed by his supposed ally Elia Kane (Katy O’Brian), which is curiously the first villainous action of Season 3. Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) is sidelined and supposedly mind-flayed (though it’s a good bet we haven’t seen the last of him), leaving a void in the series for a new “Big Bad” to fill. Several clues were present during the adventures of Pershing and Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) this week, pointing to a larger menace lurking behind the scenes. Here are the best guesses as to who may serve as the villain of the season.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 3, “The Convert.”] First, The Mandalorian swiped a couple of episodes from The Book of Boba Fett—and now, Andor seems to have pilfered an episode from The Mandalorian. (Not really. But kind of.) You’d be forgiven for watching Season 3’s third episode and thinking it a different show entirely; aside from the opening and closing minutes, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) are absent. We cross the galaxy to land on cotton-candy-colored, skyscraper-littered Coruscant, where the lead roles for the following 40-ish minutes go to Dr. Penn Pershing (Omid Abtahi) and Elia Kane (Katy O’Brian). This duo of ex-Imperials has enlisted in the New Republic’s “Amnesty Program,” and while it seems Pershing truly wants to leave the Empire behind, Elia’s motives are murkier. By the episode’s end, she turns on Pershing and uses a torture device to scramble his mind.

As the center of the Star Wars galaxy during the Prequel era, at the height of the Empire’s rule, and five years after Return of the Jedi, the city planet has gone through several seismic cultural shifts from one regime to the next. This week's episode of "The Mandalorian," titled "The Convert," has multiple meanings.
"The Convert" starts out in familiar territory -- right after Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) saves Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) from drowning in the living waters and encounters a real life Mythosaur, her entire belief system has been challenged. Though, she won't let Din see that yet. As the two try to walk their separate ways, they are attacked by an overwhelmingly large squadron of Tie Interceptors. Who are their Imperial attackers now that Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) has reportedly been arrested? We don't know yet.
As Bo-Katan's home on Kalevala is destroyed by Tie Bombers, she makes a quick escape with Din Djarin to somewhere the Imperials can't find them. All of a sudden, after the usual "Mandalorian" title sequence, the perspective of the episode takes a bold switch...

Warning: this post contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian" season 3, episode 3, "The Convert."
After more than two years away, "The Mandalorian" has returned and, even if it didn't get off to the greatest start, season 3 has certainly found its way. Case in point, the third episode, titled "The Convert," did a lot of work for longtime "Star Wars" fans, taking us back to Coruscant for the first time in a long time. Even though Mando and Grogu only bookend this latest installment, it was one heck of a ride, and one that brought some familiar faces. One of those faces was Elia Kane, played by Katy O'Brian, who was part of Moff Gideon's crew in the show's second season.
But a lot can happen in two years. For O'Brian, she became a much larger part of the Disney empire, as she also joined the company's other biggest franchise, the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
