From her driving skills to past careers as a journalist, here are a few details to get to know Halo Season 2 actress Natasha Culzac better.
Based on the hit Xbox franchise, Halo is back for its sophomore on Paramount+, this time telling the story of the iconic Fall of Reach, a moment that lives in infamy among the Halo fandom.
Culzac, who was born on August 21, 1986, appears in both Halo Seasons 1 and 2 as Riz-028, a Spartan super-soldier who is a member of Silver Team (a group that works closely with series figurehead Master Chief).

The first 15 minutes of the premiere episode of Halo Season 2 is gripping. It’s filled with dread, action, and elements of horror that executive producers David Wiener and Kiki Wolfkill are hoping to establish with the gunfights this time around. “That first scene establishes the tone with which we want to approach the action. That’s keeping it grounded and making it feel real and visceral and putting us right in the fight with our Spartans,” Wiener said. The sequence contains Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber) on a foggy battlefield, taking on an unknown number of the Covenant equipped with energy swords, and the season takes place during the events of 2010’s prequel title Halo: Reach, albeit from the perspective of the show’s characters instead of the game’s Nobel Six. Plot: In season two, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.
Review: Halo debuted in 2022 with fifteen years of development baggage heaped on top of it. With sky-high expectations for the series, anything less than a seismic shift in video game adaptations was bound to fail. Halo debuted with a muted response that found the Game of Thrones-esque intrigue and conspiracies distracting from what made the game one of the biggest franchises in history.

Almost two years ago, the decades-long struggle to bring an adaptation of the beloved video game franchise "Halo" to life finally resulted in, well, a seriously underwhelming Paramount+ show. The fact that the live-action debut of the Master Chief, his Spartan super-soldiers, and their epic war against the alien Covenant had to be relegated to a streaming service, as opposed to receiving the full red carpet treatment on the big screen, was probably an indictment in and of itself. It spoke poorly of this irrevocably Silicon Valley-influenced studio system we currently find ourselves in, and of the lack of ambition and imagination of the decisionmakers involved. Ultimately, it also revealed our own shortcomings as an audience -- one that couldn't simply be satisfied with a number of tremendously well-realized stories told in their perfect medium.

After many years in development hell, a live-action adaptation of the Halo video game franchise finally made its way out into the world as a Paramount+ streaming series back in 2022, with the first episode of the show quickly becoming Paramount+’s most-watched premiere. But while the TV series is returning for a second season, which is scheduled to begin streaming on February 8th, the first season wasn’t met with overwhelming positivity, as many fans of the video game source material were disappointed by some of the choices made for the adaptation. Not even star Pablo Schreiber, who plays the character Master Chief on the show, was entirely happy with that first season. Speaking with SFX Magazine, Schreiber revealed there was even one element that he felt was a huge mistake: the romantic storyline with Master Chief and Makee (Charlie Murphy), which even included a sex scene.

"Sometimes events are beyond our control. And in those moments, we save what we can." Paramount+ has unveiled the full official trailer for Season 2 of the live-action Halo series on Paramount+. Much like the other epic sci-fi series Foundation on Apple TV+, it looks like they're kicking things up quite a few notches for Season 2, getting much bigger than the first season that arrived in 2022. In Season 2, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity's best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers a deep connection to a mysterious alien structure with the key to humankind's salvation, or its destruction — the Halo. Pablo Schreiber returns again with Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, Jen Taylor as Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, with Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Tylan Bailey, Danny Sapani, Charlie Murphy,...

Paramount+’s two-minute official trailer for the sci-fi thriller Halo teases that when events spiral out of control, we save what we can. “Looking at your faces, I do not see defeat and I do not see surrender,” says Captain Jacob Keyes (Danny Sapani). Master Chief and the Spartans have heroes on their side, while the Covenant does not.
Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) returns to lead the video game-inspired series as Master Chief, Spartan-117, with Natascha McElhone (Californication) back as Dr. Halsey. Returning cast members include Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher), Olive Gray (Half Moon Investigations), and Yerin Ha (Reef Break). The "Halo" season 2 trailer has arrived, and it brings with it the return of Master Chief who is now facing a new, familiar threat to those who played the games: The Covenant. Indeed, this season will see the sword-wielding aliens wreaking havoc. It appears that the folks at Paramount+ spared no expense in crafting the second season of this show, but will that be enough to turn it into the series everyone hoped it would be in the first place?
This trailer is very moody and overflowing with gloomy action. It's got a "Starship Troopers" vibe to it at times, just without all of the vibrant color and blatant political commentary. We're also, once again, seeing Master Chief without his helmet off an awful lot. Love it or hate it, that element of the show remains in place. It's very cinematic and a lot of the visual effects look big-screen worthy.

Paramount+ revealed the official trailer for Halo‘s second season, which has Pablo Schreiber returning as Master Chief John-117 as he leads a team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant.
The new season has showrunner David Wiener (Brave New World) taking over for last season’s Steven Kane, who oversaw physical production on the first season in Budapest, and Kyle Killen, who supervised writing and production in the United States.
The new footage shows plenty of space action, though it appears a bit dim and murky (at least, in this trailer):
Wiener, Schreiber and newcast member Joseph Morgan had unveiled the first new footage for season two at Ccxp in São Paulo in December.

“Halo” Season 2 is almost here, and it looks like Master Chief has his work cut out for him.
Paramount+ announced Saturday that the second season of the video game-based series will premiere on Feb. 8, sharing a dramatic teaser trailer. Instrumental music scores a rousing speech as our heroes embark on a doomed mission.
“You deserve the truth,” the trailer’s rousing speech begins. “The enemy is at our gates. Their numbers are overwhelming. Any Marine who makes this stand with us will not survive the day.”
But, there’s a reason for that sacrifice: “For every moment we hold the enemy at bay, more innocent people can escape. When they do, they will go forth and tell the story that you write today. You will be remembered.”
The word “remembered” echoes over the rest of the trailer as we see more action, including human-alien physical combat.

“It’s so wonderful to get to bring two projects on TV, at the same time with ‘Candy’ and with ‘Halo,'” declares Emmy nominee Pablo Schreiber (“Orange is the New Black”). For our recent webchat, he adds that “they were so different and it felt like a real blessing to be able to put those two out and have them on TV at the same time.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.
Schreiber stars in “Halo” as Master Chief, a genetically enhanced supersoldier fighting a villainous species of aliens and his own past demons. The action sci-fi epic was developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, who adapted the series from the blockbuster Xbox franchise that is among the most popular video game series of all time. After languishing in development for years, the immensely popular “Halo” gaming franchise made the giant leap to streaming television earlier this year, exceeding expectations by shattering records and satiating millions of fans worldwide, who were eager to revisit their beloved characters and storylines.
“As a fan of the series, and having played the games for the last 20 years, it’s an incredibly daunting task to be put into the position of visual effects supervisor,” admits Dominic Remane, who was tasked with creating the expansive galaxy inhabited by the warring factions at the center of the “Halo” story with his army of visual artisans and technicians. For our recent discussion, he adds, “Working on the creative design of the characters and creatures and trying to stay faithful to what the audience is expecting to see, but still have a slight twist and create our own canon to a degree, gives us...

It's hard to believe that the Halo Season 1 finale is just one day away.
Halo Season 1 Episode 9 focuses on the aftermath of Halo Season 1 Episode 8, which put Halsey's true motives on full display.
There has been much debate about whether the person who took John from his home all those years ago was a villain or someone being told what to do.
TV Fanatic scored an exclusive look at the finale via a 90-second clip, and it's as intense as you'd expect.
Halsey is up to no good, trying to escape from Reach after her wild plan backfired.
Kai, who has slowly been understanding that Halsey's motives are not good, is giving a good chase.
The two exchange jabs, but tragedy strikes when the ship they are on crashes, leaving John and the others looking at a burning wreck.
Did we just witness the demise of both Halsey and Kai?...

Kwan's quest for revenge has put her in some dangerous scenarios throughout Halo Season 1.
On Halo Season 1 Episode 7, titled "Inheritance," Kwan’s journey to uncover her family’s “true purpose” takes her deep into the deserts of Madrigal.
TV Fanatic scored an exclusive first look at what is sure to be a big installment for Kwan.
We've witnessed the youngster go through several harrowing encounters throughout the initial episodes of the series, and hopefully, she'll get the answers she requires.
Unfortunately, the beginning of the clip makes it look like Kwan is a prisoner.
Her aim will be to get all of the answers and prepare for the fight ahead.
Kwan obviously wants revenge, but a big part of her mission will be to learn the true extent of her father's connection to the people deep in the desert.
We also know that Vishner wants Kwan dead, making things considerably more cutthroat.
