Will Ronna McDaniel land another TV gig? There is already interest in the former Republican National Committee chair brewing from a couple of cable news outlets.
Sources at both Newsmax and NewsNation tell The Hollywood Reporter that they would be interested in pursuing a deal with McDaniel, should she ultimately finalize a separation agreement with NBC News.
McDaniel has been seeking a lawyer to negotiate an exit from NBC, which announced her hire as an NBC News contributor last Friday and reversed course just a few days later after facing backlash from MSNBC stars like Rachel Maddow and the Morning Joe team, not to mention an on-air rebuke from Chuck Todd on Meet the Press just minutes after McDaniel’s debut appearance.
McDaniel is likely to receive a hefty payout from NBC, given her two-year, $300,000 per year deal, though sometimes negotiations result in a lower payout in exchange for a shorter noncompete.

Fox News again topped the February ratings, while MSNBC saw double digit growth in total day and primetime.
The networks have had a mixed ratings picture so far during the election year, a time that has typically seen a large viewer uptick. But the dominance of Donald Trump and Joe Biden in the race for their parties’ nominations has likely had an impact, more than anything, on viewer interest, with much less suspense on the outcome.
That said, MSNBC did show gains. In primetime, the network averaged 1.35 million viewers, up 15% from the same period a year earlier. Fox News was still well ahead of its rivals with an average of 2.07 million, but that was down 9%. CNN posted 573,000, down 2%.
In the 25-54 demo, Fox News averaged 231,000, down 23%, while MSNBC posted 122,000, up 3%, and CNN was at 116,000, down 5%.
In total day, Fox News averaged 1.34 million, down 7%, while MSNBC was at 852,000, up 20%, and CNN...

After denouncing a bipartisan deal that would impose new U.S. border restrictions, Donald Trump called America “pathetic” when claiming police and border patrol were not “allowed to do their work.”
Last month, Rolling Stone reported that Trump wanted to kill the Biden-endorsed immigration reform package and privately grumbled to his advisers that in supporting the proposed legislation, “stupid” Republicans could be handing Biden a major victory in the race for presidency.
Despite actively opposing reform that would provide federal authorities $20 billion in emergency funding to hire thousands of Border...

An unknown man in his underwear walked through a live TV interview on right-wing network Newsmax, which featured the network’s anchor Rob Schmitt and conservative political commentator, Dick Morris.
On January 15, Schmitt was reporting on the likely outcome of the 2024 Iowa Republican caucus with Morris.
During this interview, the political commentator was telling Schmitt what a win at this caucus could mean for GOP candidates like Nikki Haley and Donald Trump.
“Well, I think Trump is going to score a huge victory,” he stated. “I think the media is going to try to downplay it because, as you correctly said, they’re basically supporting Nikki Haley.”
When Morris was nearly halfway done with this statement, the large unknown man wearing nothing but a white tank top and black boxer shorts walked into the room in which Morris was doing his live shot.
The interview and Morris continued on without commenting on the odd sight.

The conservative news streaming service is off to the races, showing off an impressive subscriber total for its first 30 days.
It’s hard to underestimate the importance of live news, even as cord-cutting continues to impact the TV-watching audience. One survey from September found that all age groups used their broadcast TV channels to watch news more than any other type of programming.
The conservative news streaming service Newsmax+ launched at the beginning of November. At the end of that month, the service had already accrued 150,000 subscribers. The figure is impressive for a streamer with a niche audience and a narrow selection of content. How is Newsmax+ Doing?
When Newsmax+ first launched earlier this month, it was undoubtedly a gamble for Newsmax. After all, the channel’s content had been streaming on a free ad-supported TV (Fast) channel on platforms like Roku and YouTube, so it was no guarantee that...

Voters have delivered yet another resounding blow to the Republican myth that Americans want less bodily autonomy and individual freedom is what the people actually want. Tuesday’s elections saw the passage of a pro-choice ballot measure in Ohio, the failure of GOP efforts to oust Kentucky’s Democratic Governor Andy Beshear, and an overall lackluster performance by Republicans that shows the party has some work to do before 2024.
As race results poured in, it became abundantly clear that the destruction of abortion rights continues to be a key driver...

The hard-right news channel now has its own subscription streaming platform, with prices starting at $4.99 per month.
The removal of Newsmax from Directv earlier this year drew sharp protests from ultra-conservative viewers of the channel, who were quick to cry censorship at its withdrawal. Directv insisted there was no political motivation behind the removal, and eventually a new carriage deal brought the channel back to airwaves for Directv customers.
Carriage disputes are only becoming more common as cable and satellite lose customers, however. To help allay audience anxiety that the channel may be pulled from other providers in the future, Newsmax has launched its own direct-to-consumer (Dtc) service, imaginatively named Newsmax+, which is available now.

In a recent exclusive interview on “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” Lara Trump, a prominent senior adviser in the Trump circle, delivered a scathing critique of President Joe Biden’s tenure, asserting that his policies are steering the nation towards disaster.
