Wes Bergmann became the 12th contestant eliminated from “The Challenge: USA” on Thursday night, following his loss to Chris in the arena. In the game “Ripped Off,” players began suspended in the air alongside a giant tower. One was wearing a suit with 10 patches on it. The other person was the “chaser.” The chaser had five minutes to rip as many patches as they could off their opponent. In the end, Chris won this battle by a score of 10-9, sending “The Challenge” legend packing. Watch our exclusive video interview with the eliminated contestant above.
Wes describes the emotion he feels leaving “The Challenge” after 18 years to focus on his family, which includes a newborn baby due any day. “That was the first time that I had uttered it to the producers, who I’ve been with for a long time,” he explains. “There were people in that room that...

Sebastian Noel became the 10th contestant eliminated from “The Challenge: USA” on Thursday night, following his loss to Chris in the arena. In the game “Trick, Trick, Boom,” players were tasked with setting up barrels and panels to complete the perfect trick shots using balls provided by host Tj Lavin. After about 45 minutes of maneuvering his barrels just right, Chris prevailed and sent his “Survivor” pal home. Watch our exclusive video interview with the eliminated contestant above.
Sebastian calls his elimination “deflating,” and tells Gold Derby, “We wanted to roll with ‘Survivor’ all the way and we were very strong. That’s one of the best things about ‘Survivor’ players is that you form an alliance and you stick together. That was super cool. We got all the way down to the halfway point, where we had half the numbers were ‘Survivor’ players and the other half were ‘Challenge’ and ‘Big Brother’ — a mixed bag.

Since it might only take one ball in the hopper to send someone down to elimination on The Challenge: USA, having six in there is just asking for trouble. Such was the case for Sebastian Noel. What didn’t help him: He tried campaigning to get votes for Cory Wharton to face Chris Underwood, one of the nominations by daily winners Tori Deal and Faysal Shafaat. (The other was Cassidy Clark.) He then tried to blame Chris, already in hot water with everyone in the house for telling people different things. The two competed in Trick, Trick, Boom, in which they had to bounce balls across panels into barrels. Chris won. Below, Sebastian talks his (failed) strategy, relationship with Tori, and more. Things got messy in the house in this episode, especially as people campaigned for who others should vote for. And you tried to get people to vote for Cory,...

It only took one vote to send Alyssa Lopez home in The Challenge: USA Season 2. In “Operation Hat Trick,” named after the vets’ big move, the focus turned from vets vs. rookies to Big Brother vs. Survivor. After Green Team won the daily and nominated Chris Underwood and Cassidy Clark for elimination, Johnny “Bananas” DeVenanzio, Tori Deal, Josh Martinez, Cory Wharton, and Faysal Shafaat put five names in a hat and randomly picked one as their votes. That was the only vote for Lopez, but her ball came out of the hopper, and so she faced off against Clark and lost in Block Heads. (Each was locked in a cage that had to be maneuvered around the arena to pick up flags. Those flags then revealed a code to unlock the cage.) Below, Lopez talks about that loss, why she wants to take time off from The Challenge: USA,...

Survivor castaways rarely form romantic connections, aka showmances, during the game. And that’s mostly because they’re focused on winning the $1 million and the title of Sole Survivor, but also because they go days and weeks without taking a shower or brushing their teeth. However, every once in a while, two players can’t deny their chemistry (which seems to be happening in season 44), and a Survivor showmance forms.

As a quick note, our list of the five most recent Survivor showmances doesn’t include couples who got together after their seasons ended or before they began.
The CBS reality competition series’ last showmance was between Dan Rengering and Kara Kay in David vs. Goliath. Producers assigned them to the Goliath tribe to start the game, and they immediately hit it off.

Wednesday’s “Survivor: Ghost Island” season finale was one for the record books, as Domenick Abbate and Wendell Holland tied for the win at the final tribal council. While some of our readers are happy that Wendell joined the “Survivor” winners list, the vast majority believe that Domenick was robbed.

Wednesday night the Season 36 finale of “Survivor” airs with six players still in the hunt to be named the sole survivor of “Ghost Island.” Domenick Abbate, Wendell Holland and Laurel Johnson have been in an unbreakable, albeit secret, alliance and friendship since the merge. Last week, their other ally, Donathan Hurley, turned against them, coming up short of the big move he needed to wrestle away control. On the periphery and sticking to the old school mentality of tribal loyalty are Sebastian Noel and Angela Perkins. With hidden idols, secret advantages, another trip to ghost island and at least two immunity challenges left, the million dollar prize is anyone’s to claim! Or is it?

We chatted with the Denver, Colorado resident following her elimination in Wednesday’s 13th episode, in which the vote initially came down to a tie between her and Donathan Hurley. While Kellyn admits she was “scared to go sleep by myself all alone” on Ghost Island, she adds that “it was so fun to just nerd out and play these advantages.” Listen to our “Survivor” exit interview podcast above.

Wednesday night on CBS, the final seven “Survivor: Ghost Island” castaways fought for a chance of making next week’s season finale. Gold Derby’s predicted winner, Wendell Holland, was once again a target because of his secret advantages and alliance with Domenick Abbate and Sebastian Noel. But the Malolo duo of Laurel Johnson and Donathan Hurley held all the cards and could have chosen to side with the guys or with the remaining girls, Kellyn Bechtold and Angela Perkins. According to our exclusive “Survivor: Ghost Island” predictions, Wendell Holland will receive the $1 million check for Season 36 after surviving Kellyn Bechtold‘s attempted blindside in the most recent episode. Wendell currently tops our winners chart with leading 7/5 odds as we head into the final stretch of “Ghost Island” episodes. The penultimate hour, titled “Always Be Moving,” airs Wednesday, May 16 while the season finale and reunion show is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23.

Wendell’s time on the island nearly came to an end in the loved ones episode when Kellyn rallied the other Naviti girls to send him home after their original target, Domenick Abbate, wound up winning immunity. Kellyn, Angela Perkins and Chelsea Townsend feared that Wendell and Domenick were too powerful, and that one or both had hidden idols, which helped clinch their plan to vote for Wendell. However, things didn’t end up going according to plan.

Following the elimination of Chelsea Townsend on this week’s emotional loved ones episode of “Survivor: Ghost Island,” we had a chance to ask her five burning questions. Check out Chelsea’s written responses below — but first, a quick recap. While this 25-year-old Los Angeles resident was sparely seen during the first half of the game, she made a name for herself after the merge by winning back-to-back immunity challenges.
Unfortunately, Chelsea’s physical stamina made her too much of a threat, so the dominating five-person alliance of Domenick Abbate, Wendell Holland, Sebastian Noel, Donathan Hurley and Laurel Johnson voted her out in eighth place. Chelsea, Kellyn Bechtold and Angela Perkins — the so-called “Naviti girls” — tried to send home Wendell, but they were simply outnumbered. Here now is our exit interview with Chelsea:
Gold Derby: What was the reaction from your family and friends when you won not one but two immunity challenges?...

This week featured the long-awaited loved ones visit, and the remaining players reacted accordingly by crying tears of joy. The final eight consisted of two original Malolo castaways (Donathan Hurley and Laurel Johnson) and six original Naviti contestants, but how did new alliances stack up against old tribal lines?

After last week’s twisted two-immunity, two-tribal council double elimination, we’re down to the Top 8 on “Survivor: Ghost Island.” Because there’s an even split of four men and four women, we’re dividing this week’s power rankings up by gender. On top for the men are Domenick Abbate and Wendell Holland, allies from the very beginning working in secret with Laurel Johnson and Donathan Hurley, but who may be headed toward a division in their ranks.

Jenna Bowman fell victim to a new “Survivor: Ghost Island” twist during Wednesday’s 11th episode, in which the merged tribe of 10 players was temporarily split into two smaller groups of five. Jenna was eliminated from her tribe that also included Malolo ally Donathan Hurley and Naviti members Sebastian Noel, Angela Perkins and Chelsea Townsend. As Jenna tells us in our morning-after interview, she went to tribal council “under the impression I was working with the three Navitis to vote Donathan out.” So what went wrong? When is the “Survivor: Ghost Island” finale? CBS has set the Season 36 end date for Wednesday, May 23. Per tradition, the “Survivor” winner will be crowned at the top of the reunion show following a two-hour episode that includes the final eliminations of the season. Four-time Emmy-winning host Jeff Probst will emcee the reunion show in front of a live audience at CBS Studios.

We’re down to the Top 10 on “Survivor: Ghost Island,” which means it’s the perfect time to split the remaining players into a field of five that can win and five that are most in danger. First up, Donathan Hurley and Angela Perkins could possibly be seen as winners if we’re only looking at the edit, but for different reasons they’re both likely to be cut from the competition before getting anywhere near the finale. Meanwhile, Sebastian Noel, Chelsea Townsend and Jenna Bowman have had (objectively speaking) nearly invisible edits all season — none of them have been shown as strategists of any sort and, sadly, that simply means the producers have no vested interest in depicting them as deserving of the win.

Domenick Abbate has managed to keep his legacy advantage a secret thus far on “Survivor: Ghost Island,” but he’s about to make a tough decision on whether to finally use it. The rules say that the legacy advantage, which gives the bearer immunity, can only be used when there are 13 people left in the game or when there are six people left in the game. Wednesday’s all-new episode will feature the highly anticipated merge, when the three tribes come together as one and the remaining 13 castaways start their individual games. Will Domenick play his legacy advantage now, or hold it until the Final 6? Give your thoughts by voting down in our poll.

Who was voted out in Wednesday’s sixth episode of CBS’s “Survivor: Ghost Island”? However, Jeff Probst‘s tease that there’d be a “brand new start to Ghost Island” was sure to shake up the game. So did our “Survivor” predictions come true this week?

According to Gold Derby’s exclusive predictions, the ever-growing feud between Chris Noble and Domenick Abbate will reach its apex on Wednesday’s fifth episode of “Survivor,” titled “A Diamond In The Rough.” These two castaways have been going at each others’ throats since Day 1, despite Domenick trying to make good with Chris by showing him his [fake] hidden immunity idol. The new version of the Maolo tribe will win both the Reward and Immunity challenges on the March 14 episode of “Survivor: Ghost Island.” That will put someone from the Naviti tribe in the crosshairs for elimination at the end of the episode entitled “Trust Your Gut.” It looks like Chris Noble, who was one of the original members of that team, will be sent packing at the tribal council. For a preview of the episode, including a closer look at both challenges, click through the photos above.
After the swap in episode three, the Naviti tribe is comprised of three original members besides Noble — Domenick Abbate, Wendell Holland and Angela Perkins — and four Malolo players: Donathan Hurley, Laurel Johnson, James Lim and Libby Vincek. If Noble is bounced, that means that some of his original teammates turned against him.
The Malolo tribe still has Jenna Bowman, Stephanie Johnson, Brendan Shapiro and Michael Yerger.
