This was a pretty good Lundgren film, and also an above average war film. It's a powerful film at times with a menacing villain however Tom "Tiny" Lister annoyed the crap out of me with his constant yelling, and he's not a good actor at all. There are a lot of great action scenes, and a lot of the characters were cool, however , it took a while to get into, but once it got going, it was great. It's Low budget but very well made, with some quality acting , especially by Lundgren!. The Directing is pretty good. Perry Lang, does a pretty good job here, with realistic looking war scenes, keeping the film at a fast pace, and doing a solid job overall!. There is LOTS of violence. We get lots of bloody beatings, TONS of very bloody gunshot wounds,chopped off hand, bloody gunshot wound to the head, with blood and brains spurting, knife in the shoulder, 2 severed heads, stick jammed in the chin and out the head, and lots of bloody bodies. The Acting is excellent!. Dolph Lundgren is AMAZING as always, he is excellent in the acting department, was very likable, had good chemistry with Charlotte Lewis, and kicked that ass! (Lundgren rules!). Charlotte Lewis, is very beautiful, and does fine here, she had good chemistry with Lundgren, however she didn't have much dialog, still she did a good job. B.D. Wong, is good here, with what he has to do. Anthony John Denison, did well here as well, not much to do though. Tim Guinee, also does well with what he has to do. Don Harvey, is excellent here, and is a great character actor. Tom 'Tiny' Lister Jr., is GOD AWFUL Here, all he does is yell, bitch and complain,and annoyed the crap out of me, he is just a dreadful actor (also known as Zeus from the WWF). Tom Wright, is good here, and was pretty likable. Trevor Goddard, is good as the main villain and was fairly menacing. Overall, i highly recommend this one! for a late night ***1/2 out of 5
