Matt suspects a couple relationship is not what it seems
13 August 2013
After a few episodes where the ending of the story did not play well for a 'Gunsmoke' series, this show brings back all the entertaining western theme that the viewer can handle. A nice story about trickery and deceit in the rural west in the late 1800's.

The episode begins easily enough when a new saloon girl, Bella Grant, is sweet on a local young rancher named Jerry Cass. Jerry had been living on the ranch since the death of his father and now only has a brother, Brisco, that has just returned from living in St Louis. Brisco is none to happy that Jerry is dating a saloon girl and vows to put a stop to the relationship. But when it keeps growing, Jerry and Bella plan for a wedding. But there is one request that Bella makes of Jerry. She wants to live in St Louis for at least six months to see if he will like city life.

Marshal Dillon, when hearing that Bella wants to move from the ranch, suspects something is afoul with this request. Matt starts checking on people and finds there is more to this relationship that just marriage.

An interesting story that keep the viewer glued to the screen the entire time. A well rounded cast that included Ken Curtis (Brisco) making his second appearance on the series and the beautiful Lucy Marlow as the saloon girl. Unlike some other recent episodes, this show never lost the audience and had a ending worthy of the series. Good watch.
