Peter Gunn: The Heiress (1960)
Season 2, Episode 37
Patchy
22 May 2015
Perfunctory episode without anything distinctive. Pete's hired to get paroled gangster Loomis out of rich man Walter's mansion. Seems Walter's flighty daughter has taken a fancy to the evil guy and Walter's too scared to do anything himself. Meanwhile, a rival gangster's been killed. So is Loomis behind it such that Pete can get him out of the mansion and into jail.

The 30-minutes is played more for humor than suspense. Gage Clark (Walter) is a familiar face from that era, specializing in weak, jittery roles as he does here. But almost stealing the show is unfamiliar Selette Cole as the daughter. Her Kewpie doll face and figure are perfect for a wacky personality. Maybe the best scene is the last one where a note gets delivered yoga style. Otherwise, it's a pretty patchy entry.
