Presumably the title was an attempt to cash in on the then current debate about the abolition of capital punishment.However the film is totally ruined by the ridiculous contrivance which allows housekeeper Friday Jackson to identify the
body of a complete stranger as Elizabeth Sellers. At the end of the film Jackson confesses that Sellers is alive.So where was sellers all this time.The film is worthy of no further consideration
