Entertaining fiction based (loosley) on fact

I love all historical and non-historical dramas/documentaries, whatever the century or genre. I watch to be entertained not to nit-pick because the wrong torque was worn or something seen didn't actually appear in use for another couple of centuries. That is why I love Britannia, it's pure escapism, good storylines, if at times complicated - which is why I record the episodes and watch later - and the acting is good with a strong cast; an excellent series. I hope series two is shown soon.

Finally, while everyone is entitled to their opinion, the reviewer who said the opening and closing music was terrible is obviously quite young, else they would have known that Hurdy Gurdy man was written in 1968 and performed by Donovan, an innovative singer/songwriter at that time. My personal opinion is that it is a perfect piece of music to use for the opening/closing credits as its very atmospheric
