Steed and Mrs Peel enter a car rally to retrieve information from a murdered agent, but the other contestants may not stick to the rules.
More overtly comedic than other episode, Dead Man's Treasure is still immensely entertaining. Most of the actors don't give very serious performances, which fits the writing; perhaps the only actor to give a serious performance is Norman Bowler, and he gets annoying at times. The guest cast is great though: Valerie Van Ost as a girl with numerous ill-fated fiancés; Edwin Richfield and Neil McCarthy as the two villainous foreign agents; Arthur Lowe as the organizer of the car rally; and Ivor Dean as the butler. Good fun.
