Fantastic

This series deserves all the kudos, as it is wildly entertaining all around, giving you spot-on performance recreations, great music, and solid, tight storytelling. The camera work, editing, and mostly, the acting, make this one of the best musical biopics around. Each group member's complex life story is thoughtfully presented and given equal airtime. The 3-part series is a wonderful, compelling experience and will more than likely turn you into a New Edition fan if you aren't already one. The positivity and craft of the music carry you through all of the negative events, and you feel lucky to witness such biopic knowing that all band members are still alive today, still pushing through to entertain you, the latest case of which is Bobby Brown participating in "Masked Singer" a couple of weeks ago, emotionally belting out "Ain't No Sunshine" and "In the Air Tonight."
