Review of The Medium

The Medium (2021)

It had the potential to be awesome...

I appreciate the effort in making horror movies using references to the South Eastern Asian culture (Thailand folklore in this case) and their perspective on demonic possessions.

The movie has obvious influences from REC, The Exorcist and The Blair Witch Project. The ritual of the end was beautiful and creative, but the story is weak. And while it's not a groundbreaking movie, and I don't regret watching it, I also find no reason to watch it again.

The acting performance of Sawanee Utoomma (Nim) was on point, opposite to Narilya Gulmongkolpech's (Mink), which was exaggerated at times.
