A tragic story of a villain
2 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A ckockwork orange is one of the weirdest movies I've seen recently. Some of the earlier scenes made me think of some monty python bits, only with more serious topics, and the main character seems almost like willy wonka. Both his design and prrsonality really seem like him. It's important to note however, that the protagonist is also the villian of the movie. He does horrendous acts from beating up homeless, to rape or even murder. After he is selected for the treatment to cure him from his violence he gest braunwashed and looses the only things dear to him. This is the moment his downfall starts. He meets all of his previous victims and they get their revenge. This part of the movie shows that no one is truly good in this world. Under the shell of every regular person is evil. He gets tormented by one of his previous victims and decides to commit suicide, which was unsuccesful. In the hospital however all the progress from the brainwashing gets undone, and he becomes more violent than he ever was. Even while bed bound he fantasises of murder and rape.

To summarise everything I've wrote. The protagonist gets his punishment for his previous lifestyle. Everyone he once knew turned his back against him. Even his own parents kicked him out of the house. The ending of the movie isn't clear, which leaves it open for a lot of improvising. It is shown however, that he hadn't changed and after he gest out he will continue his violence.
